I must admit how hard it is to move to council funded homecare help, and that as a loving daughter, it's hard to not have control over a loved ones care. I would have to say that the ladies that helped mum were absolutely lovely, kind and respectful at all times. Sometimes call timings could be
alittle out of line but they mostly listened to family and adapted their care to what the family wanted. I have encountered bureaucracy with other care firms and lack of common sense...especially the council assessors, but the ladies from Aston Newcastle-under-Lyme were lovely and deserve a thank you...even though I was hard work at times. Thank you ladies. X

We have used this agency mainly for breakfast and medication calls for my elderly Mom since beginning of January. Calls should be 9 am and 8 pm for 30 minutes. They are regularly late, most mornings it is beyond 10 am when they arrive, by which time my Mom has done her own breakfast. I've reported
this on the Home Care App and also phoned them on numerous occasions, but it falls on deaf ears. There is never any communication from them when problems have arisen. The updated notes they write on the App are inaccurate and on occasions make little sense. The length of visits are very rarely 30 minutes even though their notes say otherwise. Since fitting a Ring Doorbell we have been able to monitor this closely. One evening visit lasted 8 minutes even though the Carer reported otherwise. On another occasion my Mom's Medisafe was left wide open and was discovered by a family member after the Carer had left. Terrible service, our last visit will be 16th March.

Absolutely atrocious service. Not one of their carers can understand basic English. Their notes are ridiculous and horribly inaccurate. No one in their office pays any attention to concerns raised and have already been reported to the CQC.

Times when carer is able to attend do vary. This can be problematic for other members of the household. This can be understandable when the carer has other clients but can create difficulties in the household.
As the wife of the client, it is difficult to deal with changes in carers. It would be
appreciated if changes could be kept to a minimum. Also if a big change in time is expected each morning, could be advised by telephone as early as possible.

I am fully satisfied with the care and with the carers who attend to my needs. I appreciate the contact with someone every morning and evening, it is so friendly and so nice to be able to have a chat, as otherwise, I would not have company every day. I only see my daughter and son-in-law once a
week. Therefore my heartfelt appreciation is profound, thank you all for your support.

My partner who is 90 left hospital early in the year and I became her carer. Although I am now 97 I am active but I asked Aston Care to supply a carer for an hour every morning to get her showered and dressed, ready for the day. The service was perfect but ended when she returned to hospital for a
month. She came home unable to walk or go upstairs with a hospital bed in the lounge. The NHS provided 2 carers 4 times a day who were excellent nurses but they arrived at any time that suited their overstretched company, twice at nearly 11 pm! Now we pay Aston Home Care to provide the same service and we are very happy again, the girls come at the required times. They are always happy, optimistic, caring and looking for helpful things they can do, even volunteering to do jobs for me if they have time. They are all full of fun but respectful and the house often rings with laughter. I can phone their management at any time day or night, who are always helpful.

Mum has been with Aston Home Care for 12 months now. Care services to Woodseaves are few and far between, so I am extremely grateful that I found this company. Mum is seen by a different number of carers, both male and female, who are all very kind and mindful of Mum's needs. Mum has been unable to
walk for some 18 months now, which is very frustrating for her, so just having someone to pop in 4 times a day to see to her needs is a godsend. The staff are always on hand and ensure that her medication is ordered and collected for me. Without Aston Home Care Mum would not have been able to stay in her home of 70 years.
