View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Ramsgate)Helping Hands in Ramsgate took over the 24-hour care package for my mum who has PCA Alzheimer's which is a rare form and my mum is blind and was awarded CHC full funding due to the severity and complexity of her condition a year ago. The Care Manager put together a team of 5 experienced carers who look after mum on a regular basis and rotate their shifts so that mum always knows the girls that are with her and trusts them. The carers are wonderful, they care for mum like she is their mum and have formed a wonderful bond with mum, nothing is to much trouble and my mum could not be in safer hands. I couldn't ask for better care for my mum at this late stage in her life. I will be eternally grateful for the support and care they are giving not only to my mum but also to the family.
I was extremely satisfied with the two ladies who assisted me during my period of rehabilitation following cancer They did everything I asked them with willingness and a smile I wouldn't hesitate recommending them
I am happy with the care my Mum receives from Helping Hands. The carers are always on time and let me know if she is needing anything or if there is a problem. Also the managment team contact me regularly.
I am delighted with the service of Helping Hands. They fulfil exactly what our requirements were which is a daily lunchtime visit to prepare a simple meal, wash up, and whilst chatting, prepare a supper for the fridge 6 days a week. It is a great reassurance to the family to know that someone will be there to check that all is OK every 24 hours, in addition to other visitors and service providers. Also, should circumstances change and more detailed care be required, the operatives are fully trained. A reliable service which has made a difference especially in terms of encouraging eating and hydration.
My mother is happy with the help she receives three times a week. The helpers are always punctual and reliable. The service is friendly and efficient. If she asks for something to be done like taking the rubbish to the bins her requests are always accommodated.
Helping hands staff are always helpful and pleasant, the office staff do their best to accommodate extra needs, and the nurses who take care of my husband are marvelous. I have no complaints at all regarding the service provided, it is great!
I have spoken to my Father who is happy for me to highlight the professional and caring service provided by the care team. This is the first time my Father has received a package of care and he only had positive comments to make about the service provided to date. Staff are punctual, polite, listen to instruction and have always presented themselves as professional. My contact with the team has also been positive and I feel reassured that my Father is receiving a high level of care provided by empathetic and professional staff.
My Dad has dementia and has been receiving care from Helping Hands for nearly 5 years now. The care he has been receiving and the support offered to me are superb. The carers are, without, exception thoughtful, skilled and very caring, while the office staff are very efficient and kind. It is thanks to Helping Hands that Dad is able to continue living relatively independently in his own home.
The care is outstanding. It is never impersonal, all the carers feel personally involved with my husband's care and recovery. Every improvement in his health is welcomed and rejoiced in. They are an outstanding team without whom my husband's recovery would not have happened as quickly and effectively. We are both thrilled and delighted with all the care and have found the Ramsgate team, both in the office and everyone who has been to our house, brilliant, thank you.
A big Thank you to the staff at Ramsgate Branch Helping Hands. You have cared for my mother over the last three years in her own home. She is now permanently in Residential Care but you were able to keep her in her own home until now. Your staff were professional and caring. Showing Mum respect and dignity at all times. She really enjoyed your visits and chats with her. She would often say, 'do you have to go now?'. You became friends to her as the day would be long for her. Mum is needing 24hr Care now and has settled in well at her Residential Care Home. Thank you also for being there for Mum and us as a family when she had a few falls at home. Your support was invaluable. Thanks again, kind regards, Jane and Carol (daughters)
Helping Hands carers have been assisting with my mother's home care for the last 17 months, they go above and beyond and cannot fault them. The carers are well chosen by the management team and know what they are doing, and above all keep me up to speed with any concerns etc. The carers provide sufficient support to my mother, whilst also being able to promote her own dignity and independence by allowing her to do as much she can, giving her choices in meals/quizzes/chatting about the garden etc. The carers are regulars, so they know the routine and above all my mum, as to what she likes and doesn't, which works extremely well and provides trust and banter. Any concerns that I have raised with the management/leadership team have been dealt with effectively and quickly. Having experienced care agencies previously and how they deal with their clients, Helping Hands is by far the best!
