View Full Details of Adigo CareMy mum has care twice a day as she has dementia. The girls come at around 11am and then again at 5.30. Nice girls but they don't say much, and one very dour. At the start they sat and chatted to my mum (at her insistence) and reminded her to take her meds from a blister pack. My mum could shower/dress and make her own meals but is now forgetting whether she has eaten or not, so I called the company to ask that carers make sure she has eaten breakfast , and make up and leave a sandwich for lunch, they also take out a meal from the freezer for her evening meal, this was not a problem for the company. I go in to check on my mother nearly every day and she recently broke her wrist after a fall. The carer that was in at the time did not notice that there was a problem, so it was lucky I went in to see her when I did. Not sure they would notice if something was wrong, so I feel obliged to go in to check on her. Dementia training would be helpful !
My experience with Adigo is excellent the carer's I have are friendly and helpful the care and support I receive is top quality I can't say anything else about them the staff in the office are very helpful and understanding if you have a problem you are treated with kindness and understanding
Normally everything goes very smoothly but on this occasion things didn't go well this Tuesday the 9th had to ring company a couple of time as staff didn't turn up. My husband and I cannot fault the company or our normal staff, always very polite. The managers are always willing to help if there is a problem.
They turn up at your home, walk in, don't talk, i had to ask who he was, and when he spoke, i could hardly understand him. My husband refused to let him get changed into nightclothes. They left wet sheets on the bed, terrible company.
Horrific care provider. They have an unfriendly and tense attitude. They were asked to lock our front door and left it wide open when they left. They don't talk or communicate at all, not even the basics. They caused my dad pain by rough handling. No moving assisting plan, which they must have by requirement but failed to do this at all. Manager set up a visit then failed to attend without a word. Never follow the hours given by social work. Some half hour visits allocated they do 10 mins then rush out the door, with a stroppy attitude, and who knows what they do with the remaining time as management doesn't know where they are when they come hours later than expected. Risks medication timings but they also guessed medication doses because they had nothing to read to follow it on, nearly overdosing my dad if he hadn't said. Further unsafe practice I can't fit into this word limit. No trust in them. Careless care service.
I've not been impressed with my experience for the last 3 weeks - the last day of the contract they didn't even bother to show up! I had to babysit the carers by putting out her clothes and helped with showering etc. They never listen to anything I was saying plus they were arriving various times which didn't help - the office wasn't that great either by fobbing me off saying they were arriving soon - I missed an important meeting at work because they were over an hour late!
The carers are all really good but office staff are a shambles. You get used to certain carers and their times and then your times get all changed and your care gets later and later and then you don't know who's coming in. When phoning the office about it you get no satisfaction or you are lied to and told to take all your morning meds with your lunchtime ones. Totally unprofessional. My anxiety is through the roof and have been with the company for over a year. It has taken that time to get a care plan put in place. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
The Adigo Care team started coming to my mum a couple weeks ago and we can't rate them highly enough. Such a lovely and professional team. She has a real routine now with set mealtimes and enjoys the social aspect of new people coming in. My mum is benefitting from this on so many levels. Well done to all staff of Adigocare. Many thanks.
Firstly I have to say that actual carers that work for this company are brilliant, I have no problem at all with the care they give my mother. It’s the office/management side that lets it down. Total lack of communication never gets back to you about queries, care plans not up to date. Lack of concern about being unable to access my mother, carer informed office who just did nothing, no phoning her house or any of family, just assumed she was fine for several hours until we got in touch with them. This is one of many examples.
