More than just what job requires just damn good people Tobi Nan abbey and comfort plus all the assorted one time carers
My Nana is very happy with the care she receives from the two greenrigg carers. She is always happy to see them and tells me they are lovely. My nana recieved gifts from them for christmas which she really loved. The greenrigg carers are always polite and well mannered, they are always in touch right away when there are any problems! Great service, thank you for everything you do for her!
My Mum has two carers Deleena and Prudence. Both of them are totally excellent with my Mum. She looks forward for to them coming in every day. They are excellent with her. Due to their great personality Mum has settled in to them coming and helping her daily.
They help her with her bathing and anything else she needs like making a wee cup of tea and toast.
The both of them are an excellent team and a credit to the Company.
They provide an excellent service it is obvious they love their work and want to do the best for their clients.
Two carers who come into my Dad are amazing, Deleena and Prudence totally do everything in there power to look after him, He sits at the window all day watching for them coming in, it totally cheers him up. They chat well with him and always make sure he has everything before leaving. He is a diff person when it's someone diff as will not let them shower or do anything, just medication. They have slotted in like one of the family popping in and out everyday, total lifeline to us as a family although I think he would have them sitting all day chatting if he could .
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear that our Carers are providing such positive, consistent support to your dad and that their care has had such a meaningful impact on your family. It is especially encouraging to know that their care is helping him feel comfortable and supported. Your comments will certainly be shared with them and the wider team.
Mum does not like strangers and soon these two felt like family. She would not let "strangers" shower her.
These two gave exceptional care at all times. They encouraged Mum to eat, made sure she took medication and most importantly talked to her like a competent adult.
Much appreciated. Cannot rate them highly enough.
My mum has care twice a day as she has dementia. The girls come at around 11am and then again at 5.30. Nice girls but they don't say much, and one very dour. At the start they sat and chatted to my mum (at her insistence) and reminded her to take her meds from a blister pack. My mum could shower/dress and make her own meals but is now forgetting whether she has eaten or not, so I called the company to ask that carers make sure she has eaten breakfast , and make up and leave a sandwich for lunch, they also take out a meal from the freezer for her evening meal, this was not a problem for the company. I go in to check on my mother nearly every day and she recently broke her wrist after a fall. The carer that was in at the time did not notice that there was a problem, so it was lucky I went in to see her when I did. Not sure they would notice if something was wrong, so I feel obliged to go in to check on her. Dementia training would be helpful !
Thank you JC for your candid review. I am sorry to hear about Mum's fall and more so that our staff did not notice the problem. It should not take your presence to ensure Mum's holistic wellbeing. We do offer total care training to our staff including dementia, however we have taken your advice and now ensure a more robust dementia training for our less experienced carers.
My experience with Adigo is excellent the carer's I have are friendly and helpful the care and support I receive is top quality I can't say anything else about them the staff in the office are very helpful and understanding if you have a problem you are treated with kindness and understanding
Thanks for your kind review JS. Our ethos is to deliver quality and bespoke care. We will continue to strive for excellence in the delivery of our services.
Normally everything goes very smoothly but on this occasion things didn't go well this Tuesday the 9th had to ring company a couple of time as staff didn't turn up. My husband and I cannot fault the company or our normal staff, always very polite. The managers are always willing to help if there is a problem.
Thank you for the positive review JC. We have taken steps to ensure there are enough personnel and have appointed new admin staff to help with communication and the phones.
They turn up at your home, walk in, don't talk, i had to ask who he was, and when he spoke, i could hardly understand him. My husband refused to let him get changed into nightclothes. They left wet sheets on the bed, terrible company.
Manager set up a visit then failed to attend without a word. Never follow the hours given by social work. Some half hour visits allocated they do 10 mins then rush out the door, with a stroppy attitude, and who knows what they do with the remaining time as management doesn't know where they are when they come hours later than expected. Risks medication timings but they also guessed medication doses because they had nothing to read to follow it on, nearly overdosing my dad if he hadn't said. Further unsafe practice I can't fit into this word limit. No trust in them. Careless care service.
I've not been impressed with my experience for the last 3 weeks - the last day of the contract they didn't even bother to show up! I had to babysit the carers by putting out her clothes and helped with showering etc. They never listen to anything I was saying plus they were arriving various times which didn't help - the office wasn't that great either by fobbing me off saying they were arriving soon - I missed an important meeting at work because they were over an hour late!
The carers are all really good but office staff are a shambles. You get used to certain carers and their times and then your times get all changed and your care gets later and later and then you don't know who's coming in. When phoning the office about it you get no satisfaction or you are lied to and told to take all your morning meds with your lunchtime ones. Totally unprofessional. My anxiety is through the roof and have been with the company for over a year. It has taken that time to get a care plan put in place. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
Thanks for your comment about the carers.
I am sorry that you felt the need to give a lackluster grading for Adigo despite having the prompt response of a review and amendment to your visit times.
In the review meeting, it was noted that your regular carers do your bidding when you request...
The Adigo Care team started coming to my mum a couple weeks ago and we can't rate them highly enough. Such a lovely and professional team. She has a real routine now with set mealtimes and enjoys the social aspect of new people coming in. My mum is benefitting from this on so many levels. Well done to all staff of Adigocare. Many thanks.
Thanks for the review. Mum is a delight for the girls and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to help her.
It’s the office/management side that lets it down. Total lack of communication never gets back to you about queries, care plans not up to date. Lack of concern about being unable to access my mother, carer informed office who just did nothing, no phoning her house or any of family, just assumed she was fine for several hours until we got in touch with them. This is one of many examples.
I would like to thank you for the review and comment on the carers especially. From records I could see that the office staff knew Mum had gone out and had asked the carer to go back afterwards. I have also checked and Mum's care plan is up to date. I spoke with you about the continuity as Mum's is...
