Where to start with this company. Chosen by social services as an interim company while client in safeguarding. Out of the frying pan into the fire comes to mind. The first thing you should do when you enter a clients house for the 1st time is introduce yourself and read the care plan. Neither of these things happened. Shocking hygiene standards. Tried to clean client with bathroom cleaning cloth. Had to be told to change gloves after performing personal care before making food. Then proceeded to grumble in their own language obviously didn't like being told how to do their job. Security issues with key safe. Serving hot drink in a glass. Washing literally thrown onto the clothes airer with items inside each other. No common sense whatsoever and basically no empathy or caring skills. This company needs to read the care act regarding dignity & respect. I could go on but it's too personal. CQC have been informed as has LA commissioning team and local MP is next. AVOID!
Valley care team provides care for my dad. My dad is extremely happy with the care he receives from the carers from valley care. They are respectful friendly and always puts a smile on my dad's face. My dad is that happy with the service that he eagerly waits for them to come. All the carers who come to care for my dad are very professional and friendly which puts my dad at ease. I would like to thank the carers for their support and their professionalism.
Since Valley Care have been involved with my mum's care, there has been some carers that have gone above and beyond in the service and care they gave to her. They got to know her quirks, bantered with her and took their time as she got more ill. They even spent the time to check in on my dad whilst there are the family home. I appreciate all that the Valley Care team offered my parents, thank you so much.
I feel that the service supplied by this care company has been unsatisfactory, for the majority of the 6 months we have had them for my mother. I have had to ring the office with issues on numerous occasions and very little changed until I requested a face to face meeting with a manager. There are still outstanding outcomes to be delivered even 2 weeks after that meeting.
Extremely poor management. At the start, when they want your business, promises are made that will absolutely not be kept. These people know that clients don't like or do well with change and so all they have to do is get you on the hook. It's all false advertising in the beginning and then reality hits just as your loved one gets used to the numerous new faces. Carers coming and going as they like and doing the absolute bare minimum. If there is a minimal amount of snow, they often won't turn up at all and you won't hear a word from management. The manager rarely reads, let alone answers messages and when she decides she no longer needs your business, because she has a new contract with the council for other business, she gives you 2 working days notice, despite promising you numerous times that this would not be the case. It's a disgrace that these people can claim to be caring and allowed to work with vulnerable people, who not only depend upon them but also pay for their services.
Carer after carer just doing their own thing despite having the Care Plan on their phones. Just want to get in and out of the call as quickly as they can and do as little as they can. Many reports made to office and nothing changes. No response to email complaints and I feel I'm now just labelled as a moaner rather than a concerned family member looking after my mums wellbeing. My mum pays in full for these visits and it's just not good enough.
The company changed over yesterday and I have rang numerous times because the carers haven't turned up. I get that when a company switches over there are teething problems but surely they have to do their homework as it's vulnerable people at risk. Absolutely disgusted with the service over the last couple of days. We put people in the care of others because we should trust them to care for our loved ones. In this case, it's not so. If by the end of the week, things don't improve we will definitely be changing and I will log a complaint to whoever is above these people.
