View full details of Belong at Home ChesterSince I requested help from the Belong at Home manager Heather back in the Spring, we have felt in safe hands from her and her team. A thorough needs assessment took place to get to know mum and dad's requirements. She is always responsive to my communications and clearly cares about offering the best support she can in increasingly challenging circumstances. She and her team are flexible and always friendly and professional, treating my parents with care and respect. Dad's carer has shown incredible patience as his dementia worsens and his resistance to care increases. There is a sense that there is good communication amongst the team and oversight of how things are and we have regular chats to review how things are going. It is a stressful time and so reassuring and comforting to know Belong at Home are doing all they can to support us.
I find the service immensely helpful. I look forward to visits for the help they provide and also the company and sociability that is offered. The carers are more than willing to assist with any task and often use their initiative about what needs doing. They also provide a useful link with the rest of the establishment.
Very pleased with the increasing amount of support and care needed for Mum. The staff have always been very supportive and relate to her in a professional and caring way. They make her feel cared for and she looks forward to their visits.
I informed the Belong at Home carer of my forthcoming operation and was assured if any extra help was required it would be available. It is so re-assuring to know I only have to ask and a willing pair of hands will be at our home if necessary - no problem, no worries! Heather and Vickie are always so kind, understanding and obliging. AND cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble for them and take everything in their stride. Wonderful xxxxx plus, plus. We are so pleased and grateful to Belong at Home and easily recommend them to anyone with confidence.
This service has been a lifeline for our Dad who cares for our mum full time at home - mum has vascular dementia & sadly no longer has capacity, Dad couldn't have got through the past few months without services provided by belong at home. We're very grateful.
Wonderful input from the manager right from the start of the process getting my mother's home care organised and initiated. The manager could not have been more helpful and professional and was very diplomatic and kind to my mother. Following her initial assessment visit, the manager visited my mother on her own on one occasion, then visited her with my mother's permanent carer. Since then, my mother's permanent carer has visited my mother once to date and all seems to have gone well. My wife and I could not be more satisfied with how the whole process has been managed, and the manager has dealt with us all, especially my mother, with tact and sensitivity. Although my mother is still finding it hard to accept that she needs help from people outside her immediate family, we are confident that in time she will get used to having a carer visit her.
During the time Belong at Home supported Mum, I truly felt that she was cared for in the best possible way. She was supported with her illness and looked after with such kindness, which made all the difference. The environment was always so safe and comforting for her, and she really loved the time spent there. She particularly enjoyed having hot chocolate and taking walks in the park with the manager, which brought her a lot of joy. The friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere, and the comfortable surroundings made her feel at ease. Overall, I feel deeply grateful for the care and support Mum received, as it helped her feel both loved and secure during a challenging time.
Belong provided a professional efficient home cleaning service for my mother in her flat. We were very pleased with the service and it was reassuring to know she had help when we were on holiday or busy
