I have been using the services provided by Verity Healthcare since November 2024. I currently have two carers four times a day, seven days a week mainly for personal care and to assist with sitting out in my chair. The carers are friendly, reliable and treat me with kindness, understanding and respect. I appreciate they work long hours and sometimes have delays with bus services, but generally the visiting times around my plan are met. I have a good relationship with all my carers and I am grateful for everything they do on my behalf. On the occasion we have needed to contact management they have responded promptly and dealt with whatever problem has arisen.
We feel very lucky to have had wonderful staff care for my mum.
Our Carers are all really nice and caring. Some members when you call up are exceptionally helpful and get back straight away. We are really happy. It would be nice to have the same carers all the time .
The carers visit my uncle twice a day 7 days a week to provide support for my uncle who has alcohol dementia. The support with medication prompt daily. My uncle provides himself with his own meals in the morning, they help with heating up his evening meal at 4pm and prompt his medication. All other cleaning tasks are completed by me weekly as this is not in my uncles care plan. My uncle has a good rapport with two of the male carers and when they are not on duty it can cause him some anxiety and distress. I have a very good rapport with one of the lady managers she's extremely helpful always helps me with anything that I have an issue with she is very passionate about her job and empathetic to me as NOK. They call me if they have any issues.
Been with Verity over 2 years and our experience have been mixed. Care has been excellent and supportive to my mum's needs. Coordinators are the issue. Have clashed on a few occasions. I find that texts aren't replied to immediately when there is an urgent issue. Communication at times has been poor. My mum needs extra time and this was not noted when the agency fed back to Haringey. Ultimately my mum has suffered and the carers struggle. The agency should listen more to what relatives of clients are saying and to their own carers too, who do a difficult job. The carers do a grand job under difficult circumstances and time constraints. Management should rethink the times carers are given in between clients. 5 or 10 mins is an unrealistic goal. Coordination and communication should definitely be improved. Staff, room for improvement. Support is excellent. Management needs improving, Dignity excellent.Verity can improve attitude towards carers and better communication with relatives
Verity Health Care Haringey generally provides excellent staff in terms of carers. I have a care who does 5/7 days and relief carers to cover my main carers day off. I have been with Verity for 2 years now and the carers really provide good care. There are sometimes delays and management are not always as quick to respond as they come be, although this has improved this year. I have very good working relationships with my main carers and they provide an excellent standard of care, and I am so grateful for their help. I would highly recommend Verity Health Care Haringey.
Our mum has been in Verity's care for over 2 years. Experience has been mixed. Care given by the two current, regular carers has been outstanding, showing patience and understanding of mum's needs. Issues have been mainly with the coordinators, with disagreements on mum's care needs. Texts are often not replied to on urgent matters and communication is often poor. One, male coordinator shouted at me on the phone claiming "your mum is taking too long and should not be having meals!". This is outrageous, unprofessional and unforgivable! He, not ever having met my mum, had to be reminded she has dementia and is slow! We've fought hard and struggled to get Verity to acknowledge mum needs extra care time. This need wasn't even noted when Verity reported their assessment to Haringey Council. Very poor show indeed! And mum continues to struggle in the time allocated. Verity needs to listen to relatives about legitimate concerns. The carers, though, are excellent. They do an outstanding job!
