My husband has been receiving a care service twice daily, 7 days/week, for many months, which involves encouraging him to get up in the morning; washing his back in the shower; applying creams to his back and groin and assisting him to dress and undress. Despite his initial discomfort about having
this type of intimate help, he has quickly accepted it, confident about the carers' professionalism. Also the process has been adapted along the way to suit his preferences and changing needs. The staff are trained and supported by a competent manager who is one of the regular carers at weekends. She is therefore also in regular contact with us. The service is flexible and able to accommodate occasional changes that we request. We are very satisfied with it.
