Angels have been providing care since 2008, working with private clients and Derbyshire county council to provide care to clients within their own homes.

They offer support with personal activities of daily living, washing & dressing, bathing, support with medication, meal preparation. They also offer support with shopping and domestic duties.

This includes:

- Sit in services.

Care is provided between the following hours:
07.00 - 14.00
16.00 - 22.00

Angels are CQC Registered and are rated Good across all standards (June 2021).

Angels work with the client to promote independence and support, so that the client can remain within their own home. Working alongside other professionals and their own family to deliver a care package.

All carers are DBS checked. Angels provide training for individuals' relative needs.

Angels provided care for my mum for over 2 years until she died in July.
Over that time her needs increased as did the need for more personal care. Throughout the care was provided very professionally and with care and compassion.
A core of regular carers enabled Mum to learn who people were and build
strong friendships.
In Mum's last few weeks the need for care escalated significantly and, as if by magic, Angels were able to provide this increased support while still maintaining the carers mum had got to know.
Overall, a very professional care provider with carers that truly care and want to help.

The Angels that come to Mum provide outstanding support. Mum and I rely on their care and are always reassured that they will be coming in every day, giving Mum her tablets, and more than anything else, talk to Mum, make her happy!

The whole experience of using Angels from Long Eaton was wonderful. We had good continuity from the carers who we were able to contact personally if we needed. The staff in office were very polite and helpful if/when I needed them.
When my mother had an accident at home the carer that morning did
not panic and stayed with her till she was taken away by ambulance. They showed empathy and understanding at all times.

97% satisfactory. It would be nice if they telephoned me when they had to alter the time shown on the timetable. NB All those who physically handle the clients deserve higher wages. What about a quarterly bonus for no absenteeism, good timekeeping etc.

Most carers are excellent. Our only concern is that too many difficult carers are scheduled. This means they can't learn what mum needs and communication between so many different people keeps on breaking down. Individually most carers are excellent, often making good suggestions or preparing activities
eg new food or suggesting and getting mum organised to do some drawing.

Carers needs first due to health and safety, no common sense will prevail, client second, client's family member third. Times haphazard on arrival. What can be done or what they are prepared to do is strictly followed by the book. No exceptions. Poor liaison with management.

I take on board the review that has been received. To respond to this, Angels have to say that all correct and full information has not clearly been received or revealed. Our staff are trained to work with good practice and not to put themselves or the client at risk, after a request for an OT visit it was found and reported that Angels did have a truthful concern for this clients mobility around moving and handling issues. The correct equipment was placed in the property and staff were able to use 1 piece of equipment but not the other due to the resistance that they received and not from the client. As for the comment around the use of common sense does not help if the staff gain an injury by not following procedures. Therefore we had no alternative to withdraw from the service as this was having an impact on the staff.
