Job Title: Owner
Ian Barnes – the Franchisee for Bluebird Care Shropshire – has lived in Shrewsbury for 21 years and, with his wife Rosanna, raised his family there. They have two grown up children and early in 2011 they became grandparents for the first time.
Before starting Bluebird Care (Shropshire) Ian was Managing Director of a chain of Garden Centre’s, a complex business employing over 500 people. He brings strong commercial experience and well developed management skills to the business.
It is important to Ian that the Home Care services that Bluebird Care deliver are consistently delivered to a high standard. “Good old fashioned service” is not just a tag line, we mean it!
Ian choose the Home Care sector because he was himself very poorly and underwent a Kidney Transplant in 2007 which was generously donated by his sister. Secondly, his elderly Mother in Law needed Home Care and he was shocked at the level of care provided and decided then that he could do better.
Ian selected the Bluebird Care franchise because of the high quality, a standard which he feels will help to improve the standard of care for people in Shropshire.
