I received the care and support I needed an extra pair of hands and fun helped me so much. I cant fault Bluebird Care, it was like having my children with me. My family could rest assured. I was safe and happy at home. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for you review. We feel privileged that you chose our team to help you on your road to recovery and we love seeing how well you are doing now
Her carers were always so kind and friendly, and all her needs were met - above all expectations on more than one occasion when she'd had to attend A&E, for which we were very grateful.
She liked her routine and always looked forward to her carer visits. She always spoke very highly of everyone. She's recently moved into residential care, which would have been much sooner without the excellent care from Bluebird.
Our sincere thanks to everyone there.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this review. We are so happy to have been able to help your wonderful friend remain at home as long as possible. We are so proud of our care team, and agree that each and every team member, always strive to exceed expectations. Bluebird Care Shropshire are proud to have been part of your loved ones journey.
Mum's carers are wonderful. They treat her kindly and with respect. Their attention to all details concerning her care is excellent. They are warm and friendly. They feel like part of Mum's family. She looks forward to their visits, as do I. Mum and I would be lost without them.
In my experience with Bluebird, l have found all the carers without exception to be very polite, helpful, and pleasant. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and everything is done in a cheerful manner.
Thank you so much for your very kind comments Iain, we are very proud of our care team and I will ensure that this gets passed on to them.
Arrival times of late, due to holidays, sickness and shortness of staff, have been somewhat chaotic. The staff are all excellent.
Thank you for your review, Bessie. I totally agree, our staff are five-star! I apologise for the chaotic timings throughout the holiday period, we are striving to address this moving forward to give you better continuity.
I cared for my 93-year-old mum at her home for the last two years of her life. I was exhausted and her mobility and dementia were getting worse. Bluebird Care came to visit and was open to any kind of help I requested. I can honestly say that the Bluebird carers' visits were a delight for Mum and a great support for me. They managed to arrange the same delightful carer every week for Mum's last months. She was experienced, sweet and her work was obviously a vocation. She gave Mum back the fun and chat that I was too tired to do. Gentle, respectful bedbaths, bed changes and lots more. Just fantastic! The agency is also flexible and I could arrange an afternoon out for myself.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Annie. It was a pleasure to care for your loved one. We pride ourselves on being able to go above and beyond for our customers and their families. I have passed your feedback on to the carer your mother had also and to the team.
Professional caring service thorough and reliable. Carers were happy to sit and chat with Mum never pushing her to eat if she said no. Great communication with the family. Initial visit was carried out with respect but was very informative and thorough in its information gathering. All be it the service was not required for very long, it was invaluable.
Thank you for the all-round 5-star review, it is very much appreciated. We were delighted to have had the opportunity to care for your mum when she needed some additional support. We pride ourselves as a care business to offer the highest standards of care possible. Please do spread the word of the services Bluebird Care Shropshire can offer to anyone who also may need any extra support.
I have found Bluebird's service to be excellent. All carers have been brilliant providing excellent care and sympathetic to my mother's needs. They have always been cheerful lifting her mood when needed.
Thank you for your 5-star review. We pride ourselves in offering the highest standards of care and communication to both our wonderful customers and their families.

Overall, very pleased with the service.
We are delighted that you are very pleased with our high-quality all round care services for your dad and family members. We pride ourselves in going above and beyond our customer's expectations. Thank you for the 5-star review.
We don't know how much further care my husband will need but we have been so comforted by the understanding and reassurances by members of staff that anything we need can be provided. My husband was initially reluctant to accept care, but he has been totally won over.
We are absolutely delighted that our care assistants and office staff are of great assistance to you both. Thank you for your review and a 5-star rating, it is very much appreciated.
Help and support given to me, as I live some distance away from my sister, is very reassuring.
Thank you for your 5-star review. We are delighted that you are happy with the high-quality services that we offer to your sister. Your comments have been passed on to our office team and coordinators. Thank you.
I have been with this care provider for a few years now. I could not imagine changing to another company. They have lovely and caring staff.
Thank you for such a positive review Janet P (client), have a wonderful day!
The care needs of my 88-year-old mother escalated until a family and friends' care rota was just not enough, and we used the 24-hour care package from Bluebird. A hardworking and extremely kind lady arrived with an enormously heavy suitcase! She bonded quickly with my mother, so important when a fiercely independent person can no longer cope. We are so grateful for her unstinting efforts. Sadly, my mother moved beyond what one person could do, we moved her into institutional care, and she died shortly after. The whole family remains deeply grateful to the carer for her efforts. We so wished Mum could pass away at home, but it was not to be. The care home was sadly the answer for her last few days; their immediate access to medical help and ability to suddenly field several staff members was indeed required. We lost Mum peacefully a few days after she transferred. If you want kindly, tactile and very capable help we recommend Mum's carer if Bluebird offer her.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was our privilege and pleasure to be able to care for your mum and help her to stay at home as long as possible.
Satisfactory - no complaints of care given.

It has been useful to have this review which has given me a chance to meet with Bluebird management and they with me. In old age, things are constantly changing relating to health and disability, pain, and physical and social needs. In fact, needs may change again as soon as tomorrow, however, it was useful to review with your representative today and to feel supported by the organisation and care options.

All very good.

Very caring and friendly service. Always will accommodate any request where possible. Have a dedicated team of carers and admin. The staff feel very fortunate to have my carers and help me with lots of things and a listening ear which always helps to share any worries or concerns and the happy things also. They make an invaluable difference in my life.

Meet the Team (4)
I started Bluebird Care Shropshire in 2009 having left my employment as Managing Director of a successful chain of Garden Centres shortly before. At that time I felt that my commercial skills and experience were well suited to the Bluebird Care franchise model and decided to be my own boss for the first time. It was a big step for me and a bit scary, but I was confident that I could make a difference in the Care Sector and wanted us to be the best in the county.
I had recently been very poorly myself having had kidney failure over a number of years and then needed a kidney transplant in 2007. My sister very kindly gave me one of hers, it is still going strong so must have been a good one!! I will always be very grateful to her for giving me such a precious gift, but also to the numerous people in the NHS and the care sector who helped me when I needed it. To be honest that care has never stopped and continues today.
So in starting Bluebird Care Shropshire I had an opportunity to repay some of the help and kindness that I was shown and set out to provide a high standard of care to the people of Shropshire who needed it. It was my chance to give something back. Through Bluebird Care, I am passionate about providing excellent care and that passion has not diminished over the years.
The culture of my business is about delivering excellent care to people in their own homes and going the extra mile for the people we support. A culture that is shared by the senior team in Shrewsbury and Oswestry and filters down to all of our care staff. That has enabled us to grow our service rapidly over the last 10 years. We have established a good reputation and work hard to maintain it. We are not perfect and things do go wrong from time to time, but we try hard to improve and learn. I am proud of what we have achieved together and look forwards to the next 10 years.
I have lived in Shropshire with my wife Rosanna for the last 28 years, raising our 2 young children here. They are both grown now: Gemma is a qualified Social Worker and manager with Action for Children and is mum to my two granddaughters Mia & Evie; Chris works in Bluebird Care managing our payroll and has recently started his own property development business.
I am a keen golfer and play at Church Stretton most weeks weather permitting and I enjoy spending time with my two granddaughters.
I have lived in Bayston Hill all my life and came into the care industry in 2013 at Bluebird Care. I started off as a care assistant, then became a Supervisor for the Shrewsbury area. I did a little bit of training in my time as a Supervisor and decided this was something I was passionate about; making sure the team were trained to a high standard. In April 2016, I became a training officer and now deliver the training for new and existing members of staff. I am always trying to develop my skills. I have just completed my Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am the care manager here at Bluebird Care Shropshire, and I am so proud of the team and the outstanding care we deliver to our customers.
In 2012 I started my journey in the care industry as a care assistant. Not knowing where my interests would lead I soon discovered my interest for care. I joined Bluebird Care in February 2014 as an Apprentice. In May 2015 I completed my Level 3 NVQ in Business & Administration, which was when I was promoted to Manager's Assistant. Over the past few years I have discovered a real enthusiasm for working in the care sector, I always hope to provide our customers and care assistants with effective support and guidance as first point of contact in the office or over the telephone. As I really thrived ensuring the business is running smoothly and that our customers and care assistants receive excellent customer service, I wanted to gain more understanding within the domiciliary care sector. I completed my Level 5 QCF in Health & Social care in January 2018 which expanded my knowledge of the care setting.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends especially when food is involved! I like to try and keep fit by walking and have a keen interest in the fashion and beauty industry.
I like working for Bluebird Care because I believe that we stand out as a care company with a difference, we are person-centred and FANTASTIC!
I have worked within the care sector since 2002. I have delivered care to people in a number of settings including their own homes, within care home and on a live in care basis. I am passionate about providing outstanding care and ensuring all customers get the care they require delivered to the highest of standards. I started with Bluebird care in 2011. I have found my calling with palliative care, working with the elderly and frailty care. From starting with Bluebird, I have progressed from a part time carer on a moped, to the Business Development Manager, completing lots of other roles with Bluebird Care in between. This has given me a unique insight into the care sector from both a carer role, right through to a managerial role. I have completed several qualifications, my latest being a level 5 in health and social care leadership. I am always looking for further learning to upskill, to enable me to support and develop our team, this then ensures we provide outstanding care to our very valued customers.
