I have been using Briarcare for my mum who lives over 3 hours away from me in Cromer. They have been absolutely fantastic in caring for my mum. Organising daily visits and now increasing their staff as she needs more help. Having house visits and providing support ,shopping , self care as she is now nearly bedridden with mobility issues. Contacting the Drs, OT or district nurse etc when needed. Also being able to attend 3 times a day. They are all very caring and so supportive. Unfortunately now my mother is now 102 and things aren't easy now for her and everyone is so helpful and caring as she refuses to move from her own home

I fully recommend using Briercare in Cromer north Norfolk headed by Rebecca who is always available to talk to on the end of the phone.

I don't normally do reviews but I have been so pleased with the exceptional service of the carers and manager I had to say something. My mum sees the carers not only as carers but friends due to the quality of the service they give. This has been through problematic family times. The manager also excels expectations in that she is supportive and always available to discuss matters relating to mums care. The care they gave started while mum was at home but still now continues with her moving into a care home where we are still using their support and service through this difficult transitional time. Thank you Rebecca, Heather and Charlie.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this, especially as it's not something you usually do. It means a great deal to us to hear how much your mum values the team, not just as carers but as friends.

We're so pleased Rebecca, Heather and Charlie have been able to support both your mum...

My parents both had home care from Briarcare leading up to their deaths in November and January. I can honestly say that the care was exceptional. Everyone was so supportive and kind. My mum told me that they were her friends and although my dad was more reluctant to accept care, he came to value them all as well. Michelle who was the team manager went over and above to arrange support for them and responded multiple times to urgent calls from them. In my mum's final weeks all the carers rearranged their schedules to provide care so that she could die at home. We were so grateful to them and we relied on them too for emotional support. I have never come across such caring people. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

My aunt lives alone and has problems with her mobility but doesn't want to go into a care home. We discussed this situation and agreed that she needed help with personal care. At this point I looked for a local agency and quite by accident came across Briarcare. The feedback looked good so I spoke with the manager Rebecca. She suggested she should meet with my aunt which we quickly arranged. Rebecca paired my aunt with one of her staff and my aunt immediately hit it off with her. They have similar interests and a shared sense of humour. It is no exaggeration to say my aunt is a new person since we appointed Briarcare. She eagerly anticipates her carer's visits describing them as her pampering spa sessions. My aunt and I have nothing but praise for the staff at Briarcare. It is obvious that their carers love their job because they want to care for people - and not there simply for the money. Highly recommended.

Mum has had support at home from the Norfolk team since the Summer.
Professional set up with the number of individual personal carers being kept to a small number, allowing mum to build lovely relationships whilst receiving expert care. Carers offered a full range of support. I was concerned at first at the minimum of 1 hour per visit, but the time proved invaluable for relaxed care.
Communication with manager first class, with any concerns on either side being swiftly dealt with.
Online reporting of each individual session of care really easy to access, giving detailed updates for peace of mind.

Highly recommend this fabulous care at home service.

My Mum has been using Briarcare Norfolk for a couple of months after she became ill and we needed emergency care. Their responsiveness, care and attention to what Mum needed has been incredible. All the team members who have been part of the package have been exceptionally caring, especially thinking about Mums emotional well-being. They quickly picked up on what Mum cannot do easily or forgets to do. All of this has meant that Mum is not only physically better but her general well-being has improved.

I would highly recommend this care provider to you.

All I can say is Briarcare are extremely good, in fact the carer I see here at home every Wednesday is excellent. She is always well-dressed in a Briarcare uniform and always arrives on time. She cleans my apartment ever so well, which alternates between the lounge and kitchen one week, then the bedroom, bathroom/toilet and hallway the following week. Everywhere looks like new when she has finished. We then have time for refreshments, i.e. coffee and biscuits, before she leaves again. It is marvelous to have someone here to talk to once a week and it always leaves me looking forwards to her coming the following week. Briarcare are quite simply one of the very best providers of home-care as their carers always go to so much trouble to do whatever they're asked and the end result is outstanding. Thank you so much, Briarcare.

Briarcare Norfolk have provided my mother with excellent care. She is frail with poor mobility and has Alzheimer's. They assist her with washing and dressing, provide her meals and medication, assist in household matters where possible and most importantly provide her with company. She looks forward to their visits. If she is a little low on their arrival, she is soon enjoying conversation and laughter. They are very attentive, raising any matters of concern promptly and very caring. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We needed help for my dad (90), who had several health problems, including dementia, and could not manage day-to-day personal care after my mum (also 90) became too ill to help him and was eventually admitted to hospital. All the Norfolk Briarcare staff were excellent in every way, punctual, efficient, caring and friendly: Dad looked forward to their visits. They were also managed and organised very efficiently and flexibly. Dad eventually became too poorly to be looked after at home and went into a care home, where he died shortly afterwards. The carers took a lot of strain off the family and it was good to have them there.

Briarcare is a very professional care provider, my carers and myself are always laughing. Admittingly, some staff are better than others, for example, my oven broke down, my carer took my evening meal to her house to cook for me.

Briarcare has recently started to support my father who is on end-of-life care. Can I just say that each and every one of the staff that has visited to support has been incredible, professional and so very supportive. They have listened to our needs and provided a tailored, personal service that shows they really truly care. This is the sign of a well-supported, well-led team and we can't thank you enough, they really have gone above and beyond.

My family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts and wants you to know what a difference you make to people's lives when they most need it.

Briarcare Stowmarket is the best care company, I have been with this care company for nearly five years. I had problems with the two previous ones. Briarcare Stowmarket has lovely, kind and caring staff of which I get on with them all. They are committed, dedicated and efficient in all the tasks carried out, I have regular time slots that work around all my hospital appointments and my social groups that I attend. My health has greatly improved while being with Briarcare and now is better maintained. The manager I can always go to if I have any worries or distressed in any way. I recently lost my cat, everyone was sympathetic and supportive, I thank you Briarcare Stowmarket, may we have many more years together. I am so happy with this company and thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Stowmarket team.

My wife suffers from a very rare brain disease (Corticobasal Syndrome). This is a degenerative disease which requires continual changes/updates to her care plan. Briarcare has been her care company now for 3 years and during that time has been fundamental in ensuring all of her care needs are fully met. The manager has been instrumental in liaising with authorities to make sure changes to her care were implemented and my wife continued to get the best possible uninterrupted care. This approach is inspirational to her team of carers some of whom have had bespoke training, eg PEG feeding as my wife cannot now be fed orally. Not only are they taking fantastic care of my wife but they extend their overall caring attitude to include myself.

In summary, Briarcare are providing an absolutely fantastic service will all staff showing a high degree of professionalism coupled with a commendable caring friendly attitude. I recommend them to anyone seeking a reputable care company.
