The transition has been smooth with no upset to Mum at all. She has adapted very quickly and is happy and clearly very comfortable with the girls who visit. This has been made easier with the small team of regular carers attending.
The positives for us as a family are the length of the visits, the dedication of the staff, the reliability of the service, the continuity, and the communication. We have a great team who are happy to do anything to help Mum. It is great to see that over and above supporting Mum with the tasks of daily living they are happy to spend the time doing the things that Mum enjoys which I know means a lot to her.
Mum is now receiving support with her personal care, meals, and light housework that will hopefully allow her to stay in her own home.
Thanks to all the team.
My son has been assigned a support worker from Compcare, from the initial meeting with the support worker and his manager, we have felt at ease and feel completely supported. We feel like the staff are a part of our family. The support worker has been matched perfectly to my son's needs/personality. He has a very caring heart and has put in so much effort to get to know my son in such a short period of time. My son is very shy but has already formed a special bond with his support worker and the manager has been amazing too! He has gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable as our son starts a new chapter in life. I would highly recommend this company. The staff are very professional and a very caring and supportive team which is what families need when their loved ones need care and extra support.
I can thoroughly recommend Compcare as a service. Compcare has been looking after my mum for a number of years and, in that time, have proven to be a most reliable provider of very caring, competent staff. My mum has been fortunate enough to have had the same staff, who have been with her, as her condition has progressed. I know I can depend on them to have her best interests at heart and to communicate any issues, should they arise. This is also supported by an approachable manager who is easily contacted by telephone, email or in person. For those who prefer tech, there is even an app of activities and staff cover. Compcare is an extremely flexible service and has even managed to provide extra cover for times when we are on holiday, relaxed in the knowledge that my mum will be safe in their care. Priceless.
Thanks,
Darren
I have been so impressed with Compcare since they started looking after my mother at home following her unfortunately being diagnosed with a rare neurological condition. The manager arranged an initial visit on a Saturday in order that their services could be in place by the Monday morning. For us as a family, that was a godsend! The manager has been first class in accommodating us and changing arrangements to suit our circumstances at short notice. The staff are very professional and have been doing this type of work for many years between them. Nothing is too much bother. I would not hesitate to recommend Compcare to anyone thinking of acquiring this service for a family member/friend. Details of cover are available at a glance via a calendar on the app and each visit is documented there too. Excellent service.
I want to thank you for your kind words. It's a real pleasure to work with you and Mum. We aim to ensure the process is smooth and is around the needs of the person. I shall pass your lovely review to the staff team.
With the previous caregiver going into administration and being given just a day's notice, it was a stressful time. The local authority advised that they only provide personal care in terms of medication, getting a person up dressed and washed etc, they didn’t do, housework or shopping. Having done some research online looking for local resources, I contacted Compcare. The first person I spoke with was the manager, who was very helpful, advising they could offer the support needed. He arranged to visit the next day, he and his colleague spent roughly 90 mins chatting to my mother, building a picture of who she is and her needs relating to every aspect of her day-to-day living. Since then my mother has very quickly established a very good relationship with her carer. Also, the level of communication from the carer and manager has been excellent. I am also able to see write-ups on the app re every visit undertaken. I highly recommend this company.
Hi Mark, Thank you very much for the lovely review. I shall be sure to pass this into feedback onto the carer also, It's a pleasure looking after your Mother and building a support package around the needs and wishes. Many thanks.
