Overall Experience

My mother started using Cymorth Llaw in December 2023 after being discharged from hospital. My mother was initially reluctant to have carers in her home, but after the first couple of visits she was very happy with the level of care given.

Over the course of the next 2 years and 4 months, my mother's highlight of the day was the two visits a day from Cymorth Llaw. When my mother had to be readmitted to hospital, the carers waited with her until the ambulance arrived.

Over the course of the two years the level of care, friendliness and attention to detail for my mother was exemplary and I cannot say enough how grateful I was to know that she was being cared for by Cymorth Llaw.

My mother spent 10 weeks in hospital at the beginning of 2026 due to a dislocated hip. The carers continued to go and visit her once a day. This was the highlight of her day, despite her poor health. A number of the cares attended my mother's funeral recently and this meant the world to my family.

Overall Experience

Used Cymorth Llaw on ad-hoc basis to provide cover for my mother allowing us to go on holiday. All Carers were extremely kind and supportive. Mum looked forward to their visits. They prepared her food for her, made sure she was safe and had taken her medications properly. They provided a real peace of mind and I would have no hesitation in recommending their reliability, friendliness and professionalism.

Heather TaylorJob Title:Senior Carer - Eifionydd and DistrictJoined: 2009

Heather's ethos is simple - It’s such a privilege to be able to help someone and keep them in their own homes while receiving the best care she can give them, as some clients may see no one else but their carer all day, and this makes a huge difference to them to be able to have someone come in that they can rely upon and trust. Whether it be carrying out personal care or just putting the kettle on.

Heather chose to work for Cymorth Llaw Ltd because it has high standards and she is proud to be one of its team. Not having done care work before, Heather came with no experience but received excellent training by the company in their on-site training room. This is ongoing, and Heather receives regular training updates as well as regular appraisals and supervision.

It wasn’t long before Heather passed the relevant NVQ Levels 2 and 3 and progressed to a Senior Carer. This has enabled her to support and mentor the newer members of the team and try to ensure that they get as much out of the job as she does, working in the Eifionydd region.
