I cannot thank River Exe Healthcare enough for the outstanding care they have given my mum, who suffers from dementia. Chloe and the whole team have been amazing during a very difficult time for our family. The carers visit morning and evening and adapted the evening visits to help stop mum wandering out at night when she becomes confused about the time. They have also pushed the council when extra support has been needed and always acted in mum's best interests. What stands out most is how much they genuinely care. Staff have even gone above and beyond outside working hours, bringing mum safely home after seeing her walking into town late at night. They are now helping us work with the council to arrange residential care due to the risks associated with mum's condition. Their kindness, professionalism and support have been invaluable. I would highly recommend River Exe Healthcare.
Overall I am very happy with River Exe Health. A family member is being looked after by them and I am the main contact for all the communication. They have been very good at letting me know of any issues or things that need to be resolved. They are a very professional and organised company.
When I needed extra care for my mother-in-law it was quickly and easily arranged. Giving me and her peace of mind.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, it really means a lot to us. We are so pleased we are able to be there for you and your family and this time.

Charlotte is a registered nurse with over 13 years of experience across acute and community care settings. This clinical background gives her a strong understanding of the needs of both clients and care teams.
As Operations Manager, Charlotte oversees the organisation as a whole, supporting its continued growth while helping to maintain high standards across every area of care. She works closely with a dedicated team to make sure services are safe, responsive and centred around each person’s needs.
Charlotte is passionate about health and social care and is committed to making a positive difference through the quality of care River Exe Healthcare provides. She also plays an important role in building strong, trusted relationships with commissioners and partner organisations.
Abi began her journey with the company in March 2013, starting as a community carer when the organisation was known as Helping Hands. Since then, she has continued to grow her knowledge, skills and experience, progressing through different roles within the company.
She is currently completing her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, further strengthening her understanding of the sector and her ability to support both clients and care teams.
Abi’s day-to-day role is varied and fast-paced, which is something she really enjoys. In 2022, she spent time as Acting Registered Manager, gaining valuable experience in the running of the service. She has recently been promoted to Service Manager, where she supports Charlotte in overseeing all offices.
Abi works closely with teams both in the office and out in the community. She values being approachable and involved, and is proud to have an open-door approach for colleagues who need support, guidance or simply someone to talk to.
