Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mayfield Homecare Services have been an amazing life changer for us as a family. The girls who visit my mother in law (father in law too) have the most wonderful relationship with them. They bring such positive energy to their home. The girls are so professional yet so caring, their conversations are
led by my mother in law and what she has to chat about. Nothing is too much trouble. They will e.g. bring the washing in, empty the bin and they always leave the house safe and locked. We consider the girls as part of our family now and rely on information they share. We call daily to see our parents/in laws to visit and chat as all the 'care' is covered by Mayfield. We know all the managers as they keep us in touch with anything else we need to know. To sum Mayfield up "Amazing, caring, laughter, understanding and professional. An absolute pleasure to have them as part of our family. Thank you :)

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Joanne Boyle

Job Title: Co-Ordinator Joined: 1998

“Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m the Lead Co-ordinator here at Mayfield Homecare. I first joined the team in 1998 as a community carer after completing my YTS in care and childcare. Before that, I worked in a nursing home for several years, gaining valuable experience in supporting individuals with varying needs.

When I joined Mayfield, it suited me perfectly at the time—and they’ve never let me leave! Over the years, I’ve progressed through the roles of Lead Carer, Key Worker, and now Co-ordinator. Although most of my days are spent planning and implementing our weekly rotas, I still love getting out into the community and completing visits whenever I can.

Outside of work, I enjoy switching off by going on holiday with my family. I’m also a very proud grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren who mean the world to me.”

Claire Leigh

Job Title: Office manager Joined: 1998

My name is Claire Leigh, and I am the Office Manager at Mayfield Homecare. I first joined the team in 1998 as a community carer. Before joining Mayfield, I worked in two nursing homes, and after having my two boys, I chose Mayfield because the role suited my family life at the time.

I began as a carer and later supported the out-of-hours service. In 2008, I moved to Yorkshire, where I had my daughter, and left Mayfield for a few years. When I returned to Warrington in 2013, I rejoined the team. At the time, my mum, auntie, and cousin all worked here, and I realised how much I had missed being part of Mayfield.

In 2017, I moved into the office to assist with spot checks and reviews. Today, I am often the first person you’ll speak to when making an enquiry about care for yourself or a loved one, and I am responsible for maintaining and updating care plans.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on holiday with my family—whether that’s abroad or spending time at our caravan in North Wales.

Job Title: Recruitment Lead Joined: 2013

My name is Kirsty Towell, and I first joined the Mayfield team in 2013 as a member of the care team. I left in 2016 to gain further experience elsewhere before returning in 2018. Before my time at Mayfield, I worked in a medium secure unit as a Senior Support Worker in mental health.

Since rejoining the team, I have taken on the role of Recruitment Lead, where I am responsible for ensuring we welcome the right people into our team to care for you or your loved ones.

Outside of work, I help run Holly’s Farm in Penketh alongside my family. I have two daughters, I serve as a councillor, and I am actively involved in raising money for charity.
