Mayfield have been visiting my Mum, who lives in the annexe attached to our house, for about two years now, and we couldn't be happier. We have regular ladies coming in and they are all brilliant, respectful, trustworthy, and just lovely people generally. There's a family feel to the whole company and the owner calls me whenever he needs to, to check in and make sure everything is going well. The office staff are easily contactable and take in and act on any concerns immediately. There is rarely a need for this but it's nice to know they're there. From our experience, Mayfield really is an excellent care company and one that I would not hesitate in recommending to anyone who finds themselves, like us, in the unfortunate position of needing home care.

Care was arranged very promptly over the Christmas period when our family feared that it would be difficult to access services because of the time of year. The team were efficient when setting up arrangements and offered much-needed support and advice about navigating the system/ liaising with other services.

Fortunately, Nan only required help for a few weeks before finding suitable residential care, but in that time all the carers were reliable and caring. They treated Nan and the extended family with compassion. Thanks to all involved for being there when needed.

We cannot thank Mayfield Home Care enough for the care and support they provided while my dad was ill and my mum needed looking after. From the very start, the team were professional, compassionate and incredibly reassuring during what was a very difficult time for our family. The carers treated my mum with genuine kindness, dignity and respect, and it was clear they truly cared about her wellbeing rather than just doing a job. Communication was excellent throughout, and knowing my mum was in such safe and capable hands gave us real peace of mind. The standard of care was outstanding, and the support they provided made a huge difference to our whole family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mayfield Home Care to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate home care. They have been absolutely fantastic.

An exceptional Organisation. What I genuinely love and respect about the whole team from Mayfield Homecare Services, is that their focus is on the person. My Dad has Dementia and has been supported by Mayfield now since late 2023.
He relies upon the consistency of the ladies whom support him; and the back office team also ensure this is never compromised.
The whole Team are incredibly easy to deal with and are equally very accommodating too; for example if a change to the session hours are needed, due to medical appointments for my Mum etc.

I would highly recommend Mayfield to anyone who is looking for care/ support for their elderly loved ones. Your views and requests will be respected and valued, and you will have the peace of mind knowing that your loved one is safe, happy and content too.

Mayfield Homecare Services have been an amazing life changer for us as a family. The girls who visit my mother in law (father in law too) have the most wonderful relationship with them. They bring such positive energy to their home. The girls are so professional yet so caring, their conversations are led by my mother in law and what she has to chat about. Nothing is too much trouble. They will e.g. bring the washing in, empty the bin and they always leave the house safe and locked. We consider the girls as part of our family now and rely on information they share. We call daily to see our parents/in laws to visit and chat as all the 'care' is covered by Mayfield. We know all the managers as they keep us in touch with anything else we need to know. To sum Mayfield up "Amazing, caring, laughter, understanding and professional. An absolute pleasure to have them as part of our family. Thank you :)

Joanne Boyle Job Title: Co-Ordinator Joined: 1998
Joanne Boyle

“Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m the Lead Co-ordinator here at Mayfield Homecare. I first joined the team in 1998 as a community carer after completing my YTS in care and childcare. Before that, I worked in a nursing home for several years, gaining valuable experience in supporting individuals with varying needs.

When I joined Mayfield, it suited me perfectly at the time—and they’ve never let me leave! Over the years, I’ve progressed through the roles of Lead Carer, Key Worker, and now Co-ordinator. Although most of my days are spent planning and implementing our weekly rotas, I still love getting out into the community and completing visits whenever I can.

Outside of work, I enjoy switching off by going on holiday with my family. I’m also a very proud grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren who mean the world to me.”

Claire Leigh Job Title: Office manager Joined: 1998
Claire Leigh

My name is Claire Leigh, and I am the Office Manager at Mayfield Homecare. I first joined the team in 1998 as a community carer. Before joining Mayfield, I worked in two nursing homes, and after having my two boys, I chose Mayfield because the role suited my family life at the time.

I began as a carer and later supported the out-of-hours service. In 2008, I moved to Yorkshire, where I had my daughter, and left Mayfield for a few years. When I returned to Warrington in 2013, I rejoined the team. At the time, my mum, auntie, and cousin all worked here, and I realised how much I had missed being part of Mayfield.

In 2017, I moved into the office to assist with spot checks and reviews. Today, I am often the first person you’ll speak to when making an enquiry about care for yourself or a loved one, and I am responsible for maintaining and updating care plans.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on holiday with my family—whether that’s abroad or spending time at our caravan in North Wales.

Kirsty Towell Job Title: Recruitment Lead Joined: 2013
Kirsty Towell

My name is Kirsty Towell, and I first joined the Mayfield team in 2013 as a member of the care team. I left in 2016 to gain further experience elsewhere before returning in 2018. Before my time at Mayfield, I worked in a medium secure unit as a Senior Support Worker in mental health.

Since rejoining the team, I have taken on the role of Recruitment Lead, where I am responsible for ensuring we welcome the right people into our team to care for you or your loved ones.

Outside of work, I help run Holly’s Farm in Penketh alongside my family. I have two daughters, I serve as a councillor, and I am actively involved in raising money for charity.
