All in all, I’m extremely satisfied with the care afforded to my Dad. Some carers use their initiative more than others regards what care is needed and don’t just rely on the service user asking for things - those that need help often forget or feel awkward about asking so to have help offered or suggested is hugely reassuring. In my experience, Old Friends Care have gone above and beyond when specific needs have arisen, they’ve always been friendly and professional, and I would happily recommend!

We have been using Old Friends for a few months now. All the carers have been friendly, pleasant, helpful and have treated my husband with dignity. Where needed they will go the extra mile. They have supported me and I'm not sure I could manage without them now, they are a godsend, A big thank you to all.

Although I have no concerns with the care I get from my carers I feel they do not get very good back up from the office with regard to their rotas. They seem to expect them to be "wonder women"; giving them more than one user at the same time, and quite often in different areas. They also make them works from 7am to late evening (often without a break) They then end up being ill brought on by exhaustion. The rota planning is illogical, especially with the walkers and several of the best carers have left. If they looked after their carers they would have less absenteeism and more loyalty and a better company.

I would be lost without them.

The care provider is also a haven to train their carers on the same aspects of care that is required for us.

My mom has two main carers, which are great, they are like part of the family which is good for my mum.

Some carers have been alright and some haven't sine if the carers have helped me a lot. My regular carer of 9 years has helped me get my confidence back after being in hospital due to falling. Some of the other staff are not so helpful and can have me feel that they are a bit pushy, they seem to be in a bit of a hurry. Overall I'm very pleased.

Mum appreciates the fact that we have a regular carer rather than lots of different members of staff. Staff are always pleasant, polite and caring.

The care provider is also responsive to phone calls and queries.

All of the carers who come to sit with me are very friendly.

I would recommend Old Friends Care to anyone. They have and still are caring for him (my son). They treat him with the utmost respect. He has the same carers every day, and I can't thank them enough.

We have only just started, but I have to say all the people who have come to care for my husband have been excellent - lovely people, kind and caring - very efficient.

For almost 3 years, my son has had carers coming to our home 4 times a day. We have had many different people during that time, all of which have been lovely individuals who have become like our extended family. Caring, kind, pleasant and respectful always. The office staff have always accommodated any requests we have made, and all have been equally pleasant and helpful. A big thank you to all at Old Friends Care Ltd.

Old Friends Care has recently started looking after my dad and they seem to be very efficient. All the team I have spoken with are professional and I am sure he is going to be happy with them. A great start.

The carers are not just carers they have become friends.

The girls who come are very good. The in-house staff are very difficult. When I started I advised that because of my health I could not have people with colds, they do not tell the girls I have to! I now have fairly regular girls! When you phone the office it takes some time to answer and if you get 1 or 2 staff in particular you get lied to on a frequent basis. If you complain, nothing is done. This year they rose our charge by £3 for 45-minute calls. They took the money earlier in the year and the girls didn't get the raise for some months. I've had problems when the handle was broken off a mini-fridge and they ignored it.

Care provided is very good. The carers are friendly and very helpful. They seem to have time and are very well trained.
