All in all, I’m extremely satisfied with the care afforded to my Dad. Some carers use their initiative more than others regards what care is needed and don’t just rely on the service user asking for things - those that need help often forget or feel awkward about asking so to have help offered or suggested

is hugely reassuring. In my experience, Old Friends Care have gone above and beyond when specific needs have arisen, they’ve always been friendly and professional, and I would happily recommend!

We have been using Old Friends for a few months now. All the carers have been friendly, pleasant, helpful and have treated my husband with dignity. Where needed they will go the extra mile. Overall Experience

Although I have no concerns with the care I get from my carers I feel they do not get very good back up from the office with regard to their rotas. They seem to expect them to be "wonder women"; giving them more than one user at the same time, and quite often in different areas. They also make them

works from 7am to late evening (often without a break) They then end up being ill brought on by exhaustion. The rota planning is illogical, especially with the walkers and several of the best carers have left. If they looked after their carers they would have less absenteeism and more loyalty and a better company.

Overall Experience

I am extremely grateful for the support/care I have and still receive. The management team have been outstanding they played a huge part in finding a suitable property for me. I enjoyed the company from my carers and I look forward to my visitors.
I would be lost without them.

Excellent caring service, providing consistent care through the same allocated carer who is reliable. genuine, caring and trustworthy.
If alterations are required, a simple email to the stream will address requirements satisfied with ease. My mum is very happy receiving a service from Old Friends

Overall Experience

Overall care provided is good and we work well together in these difficult times. The care provider has helped us a lot with the care we've required.
The care provider is also a haven to train their carers on the same aspects of care that is required for us.

Overall Experience

Some carers have been alright and some haven't sine if the carers have helped me a lot. My regular carer of 9 years has helped me get my confidence back after being in hospital due to falling. Some of the other staff are not so helpful and can have me feel that they are a bit pushy, they seem to be

in a bit of a hurry. Overall I'm very pleased.

Overall Experience

Care provided represents a friendly, caring face to someone living alone. They were extremely professional and caring throughout the Covid outbreak.
Where possible the same carer visits at least once every day.
The care provider is also responsive to phone calls and queries.

Overall Experience

For almost 3 years, my son has had carers coming to our home 4 times a day. We have had many different people during that time, all of which have been lovely individuals who have become like our extended family. Caring, kind, pleasant and respectful always. The office staff have always accommodated

Overall Experience

The girls who come are very good. The in-house staff are very difficult. When I started I advised that because of my health I could not have people with colds, they do not tell the girls I have to! I now have fairly regular girls! When you phone the office it takes some time to answer and if you get

1 or 2 staff in particular you get lied to on a frequent basis. If you complain, nothing is done. This year they rose our charge by £3 for 45-minute calls. They took the money earlier in the year and the girls didn't get the raise for some months. I've had problems when the handle was broken off a mini-fridge and they ignored it.

We are proud of the high level of consistency we provide you with your Carers and we have strived to provide you with the same Carers every day over the several years that you have used our services. However, we are saddened to hear that you are not entirely happy. I would like to reiterate that we always maintain excellent communication with you when we are made aware that a Carer who normally visits you is unwell, the Carer is always changed in these instances and you are informed that this may result in a change of your usual visit time to accommodate this. Our charges are raised annually and notice is given, our Carers have received two pay increases in 2020 in line with this. The complaint regarding your fridge you have readdressed in your review was resolved in 2016. Thank you again for your kind words about our Carers.
