My mother has been using PillarCare for over 4 years. The care started with a few hours on set days of the week to help her manage her daily routine, support her around the house and provide company and help. Over the years this has progressed to 24/7 care. The services provided are fine-tuned to the ongoing requirements, are adaptable and move with the clients changing but growing requirements. The management is always available and extremely professional about everything they do. Despite this, the staff and management are always friendly and compassionate and will do their utmost to accomodate requests, adapt routines and liaise with GPs and the health administration beyond the confines of the home. In our case, there is a substantial distance between the client and her remaining family and PillarCare are able to bridge this gap and provide local services giving peace of mind to everyone involved, something that cannot be underestimated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with PillarCare. We are truly honoured to have supported your mother over the past four years and to have been entrusted with her care as her needs have evolved. It's incredibly rewarding to hear that our team's hard work has made a...
Pillarcare have looked after my dad since November 2024. I really can't fault their hands on management and care staff. Any issues I had with Dad's care was dealt with in a timely and compassionate manner, and it has taken a great weight off the family's shoulders knowing Dad is being looked after.
Hi TD, thanks so much for your feedback! It's been an absolute pleasure working with you and your dad this past year, and we look forward to continuing to provide him with the excellent care you've both come to expect.
You helped my brother and made a real difference with his recovery from a hip replacement. I am sure that your team made him independent, and gave us a family peace off mind. We can't thank you enough.
Thank you very much for this review. We are delighted that your brother has regained his independence with the support we provided. It was a real pleasure to help him get back to his old life and hopefully everything we have helped put in place will continue to make life easier for him for many years to come!Yours Sincerely
We had overnight care for a week and the ladies were lovely and caring and did everything to make my return from hospital possible.
Dear Mary, thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to be able to help you and your husband, and we will be sure to forward your positive feedback onto our carers.
The carers whom PillarCare employed were good. In particular, the live-in carers who looked after our mother in the last couple of years of her life as her abilities declined were excellent. They were very kind and caring and did so much to ensure that our mother was happy. We are very grateful to them and to the PillarCare team.
Thank you very much for your kind words. It was a real privilege and an honor to look after your mother, she was a phenomenal woman, and remaining as active as she did on her 100th birthday and beyond was an inspiration to us all. I will ensure that all of the carers are aware of this feedback and that their hard work is suitably recognised. I wish you and your family all the best in the future.
The management team are amazingly caring and efficient. Their professional, person-centred approach makes the process of setting up care for loved ones as stress-free as possible for family members.
Meanwhile, the wonderful carers kept him company during the day, a few times a week, so that his partner felt confident to spend time away from the flat but most importantly they kept him safe from falls at night so that she could sleep.
We had contact with many different agencies during 2022/2023 and with PillarCare we knew that Dad was in safe hands.
Dear Lucy, thank you very much for your kind words. It was a privilege to care for your father during his final months, he was an amazing man and it was an honour to get to know him. I will ensure that the carers who supported your father are aware of this feedback and commended for their hard work and commitment to your father and his partner. Warmest Regards.
I have used PillarCare several times, first for my husband then after his death for myself. This agency is excellent, efficient and compassionate. The carers are diligent and kind.
Thank you for your review, our carers are always happy to support you and we hope that you will continue to use our services in the future.
Yours sincerely.
I feel very lucky to have a carer. She looks after me very well and makes sure that I do my exercises twice every day. Her cooking is wonderful and she keeps the house very nice. I could say a lot more, she is wonderful.
Thank you for your kind words about our carer, we will make sure she is aware of this excellent feedback. We are privileged to have you as our client and look forward to continue providing you with outstanding support.
Yours sincerely.
Care was put into place and a start date agreed with the hospital.
The discharge was delayed by the hospital and PillarCare and their carers were incredibly flexible to support this.
All staff we encountered were professional and extremely caring and kind as one would expect. They grasped quickly my mother's needs and aims and supported her in achieving them.
Care was reduced in a staged manner as my mother improved until no longer required. We would have no hesitation returning to PillarCare should the need arise.
Thank you very much for your review, we are so pleased that your mother has recovered well enough to no longer require any care! It was a real privilege to get to know her and support her during that time! We hope you and the rest of the family have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!
The backup service from head office was supportive and helpful at all times.
Thank you for your kind words about our carers, we will be sure that this feedback reaches them! Thank you as well for our honest feedback about our services at the time, it was a valuable experience for us in making sure that everything worked. It was a real privilege to provide support for your husband and I'm glad that our carers could make such a difficult time more bearable for you.
I found the service responsive, sensible and comforting. The staff answering the initial enquiries were efficient and well informed, they inspired confidence (unlike some competitor organisations). The home visit was efficient, supportive and inspired confidence in what was to come. My carer was lovely. She understood the need to be available but not intrusive. She was willing, efficient and kind. She made a huge difference. My only negative comment is a very small one. As your carers are likely to be working in professional homes, it might be helpful to cover some procedural basics such as making tea in a pot, not delivering a mug with a tea bag.
Dear E L
Thank you very much for the review of our services. We appreciate your kind words about the initial home visit and will pass this on to the team. We will also take on board your feedback about making sure our carers are familiar with procedural basics as it is important to be aware of all our clients' routines and preferences in their own homes.
Matt
Our circumstances have been challenging as my husband can be difficult. The patience of his carer knows no bounds; he does all he can to ensure that everything goes as well as possible.
The professionalism and efficiency of the organisation are reassuring as I know that if there was an emergency, they would be there to support us.
Thank you, Rosalind, for this very kind review and the positive feedback regarding your husband's carer; we will make sure that this is fed back to them. It has been so encouraging to see your husband return home, and we will strive to continue providing outstanding support to both you and your husband.
We are new clients but have been very impressed with the standard of the Carers and particularly with Pillar's focus on finding carers who not only have the necessary skills but are also individuals whom my husband would enjoy having around him.
I had a fantastic experience with Pillar Care Agency, using their waking night care service. The carer herself was punctual and experienced, and my mum had the best sleep she's had in weeks. The care manager was fantastic. I called in the morning looking for waking night care and within 4 hours she was at my home assessing my mum and her needs, organising for a carer to come that same night. She helped me with the GP and community care team also as this can be very confusing and difficult.
Overall, Pillar Care really helped us to navigate a difficult time. They are very prompt, attentive to your needs and know how to navigate the system they work within very well!
Thank you very much for your kind words about our service and your experience with PillarCare. We will ensure we pass on your feedback to the carer who worked with your mother. I am very glad that we were able to help with the community services' coordination, as we know how difficult this can be for families. It was a pleasure to meet you and your mother. We wish your family all the best.
I, along with other family members, are very satisfied with the care provided. The staff have been exceptionally attentive and caring. It is great to know that a close relative is in very good hands particularly when we are unable to visit as frequently as we would prefer.
Thank you for your lovely review of our services. We know it has been very difficult for your family members not to be able to visit during these difficult times and we are glad to have kept your relative safe and well cared for. She is a lovely woman and I know that her carers are dedicated to her receiving the highest standards of care.
PillarCare Agency arranged and supervised care for our mother from 2014 - 2021. Over these 7 years, PillarCare management were available, attentive and engaged. They supplied and managed a succession of full time, permanent and temporary carers, almost all of whom were well-suited and well trained for the job and provided excellently, committed care. On the few occasions when a carer didn’t work out, PillarCare managed the situation well and discretely, finding a replacement quickly. PillarCare’s supervision and support for their carers seem very good, and their interaction with us and with our mother was always professional and sympathetic. We have already recommended PillarCare to friends in similar situations and would readily do so again.
Thank you for your review, it was such a pleasure to provide care for your mother for such a long period, she was well-loved by both our care and management team. We will pass your comments on to the carers who worked with her. Thank you also for recommending PillarCare to friends; personal...
We, as a family, really can't express our gratitude to the managers and all the team at PillarCare for the care, support, advice and guidance they have given us and the care they have provided to both our aunt and uncle who live in London. We all live in Leeds so it was really important to find the right agency we could trust and absolutely rely on, especially in the middle of a pandemic - and we certainly found that in PillarCare. As is often the case, we were looking for care as a result of a crisis. We needed immediate help and we are so grateful that we were recommended to PillarCare by a friend. I actually run a care company in Leeds and in 15 years, I have never come across another company, like ours, that genuinely cares for their clients and is able to provide such comprehensive support to family members, especially when, like us, they live away. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your review. It's heartening for our management team to know that we've been able to help your family, especially at this difficult time. We try our utmost with all of our service users to go that extra mile and ensure that they feel truly cared for. Your recognition of that...
We were recommended to contact PillarCare when my aunt had a fall last year and was admitted to hospital. She was the carer for her brother, my uncle, and we needed a live-in carer for him really quickly. PillarCare were able to put a care package in place within days. They were also able to do the same for my aunt when she came home from hospital. The transition to full-time care is not an easy one but PillarCare have supported us through everything. We and my aunt and uncle are very happy with the long-term, stable, really high-quality care.
Dear Stephen, Thank you for your review, we pride ourselves on our quick response time for clients who need care packages put in promptly. We are so pleased that your aunt and uncle continue to be happy in their homes and are very encouraged that the transition to full-time care has helped them continue to enjoy their day-to-day lives.
Pillarcare has found carers for two elderly relatives in the last year. In both cases, they responded quickly and were very thoughtful about finding the right carer. They have been helpful in managing COVID safety restrictions, supporting carers to stay longer than they usually would to reduce the risk. I would definitely recommend them.
Dear Isobel, thank you for your review of our service. We are so glad you chose PillarCare to provide care for your relatives. It has been a joy to support them to continue to live independently at home.
Management is very helpful and willing to find the right person. Carers are mostly experienced, friendly and willing to accommodate a difficult client.
Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your feedback about the care we provide for your mother. We will pass your comments on to our care team.
