PillarCare Agency helped support my mother critically after a hip replacement. She now needs help as part of a dementia care plan. I really liked the lengths they went to in finding the right carer, in terms of personality, experience and flexibility. As a result, all three of us are very satisfied, whilst early days, at the moment.
Thank you for your review of our service. We are delighted to know that you have been pleased with our input into your mother's dementia care planning. We look forward to continuing to care for her as she progresses along her dementia journey.
I had three different carers from PillarCare. They were all very good and kind and took their job seriously. I have only one thing from the three of them is that I wish they hadn't talked to me as if my husband wasn't in the room. They didn't include him when he was beside them in the room. The current thinking about people with dementia is that they do understand when they are being talked about and that it is important to include them.
Thank you for your review and for your positive comments about our carers' kindness and professionalism. We will pass this on to the carers who cared for your husband along with your comments about having spoken to you whilst your husband was there and not including him in the conversation. I know...
I have found my carer a good carer. A secret that all the carers I have had were not strong on cooking. I like the staff and management but I was not told who was coming to me as a carer - also did not inform me about what was happening to my previous carer.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your response about the care you received from PillarCare. We are sorry to hear you did not feel that our carers were able to meet your expectations for cooking. For our service users with complex dietary requirements, we offer our carers extra training, and...
The carer that PillarCare provided for my elderly relative has been incredibly kind, compassionate and respectful, she managed to form a very good bond quite effortlessly and my godmother really likes her. I find the level and quality of service PillarCare provide to be of an incredibly high standard with the needs of the client utmost. Their approach is sensitive and very professional, and their communications are excellent. They are always accessible and it has made what was initially a very stressful situation in a pandemic seamless and thoughtfully curated. Their experience really shows, a big thank you to the manager and the team!
Thank you very much for your kind words, Lora. It is an honour and a privilege to care for your relative and we look forward to doing so for many years to come.
PillarCare have done their best to provide carers who are suitable for my friend, who, as well as being elderly and frail, also has a difficult personality and can be extremely rude to carers, on occasion biting, scratching and kicking. On occasion, they are slow to respond, but we know that the covid situation has created difficulties. Management and carers have always treated her with respect, despite her poor behaviour. PillarCare listens to the views of family friends who are also Power of Attorney holders for her.
Elizabeth, thank you for your review of our service. We are very glad that your experience of the care management and delivery for the sometimes challenging behaviour of your friend is so positive. At times last year, Covid safety guidelines temporarily slowed our administrative response timeframe,...
Very hands-on and available at all times. Good contact throughout. Were able to advise on any queries and situations that arose if we were unsure how to deal with them, not having been in such a position before. Can be quite daunting, and it was good to know PillarCare were at the end of the line to assist.
We were so glad we were able to help Jackie. Thank you for this review.
I had a very good experience with Pillarcare, who identified appropriate carers for my Alzheimers-stricken mother. They were considerate, highly reliable and discreet throughout, respectful towards my mother and attentive to her needs. Every one of the carers they sent our way boasted relevant experience, many were truly exceptional women, and their choices were always carefully made. I've already recommended them to a friend and would do so without hesitation again.
Dear Michela, thank you so much for your feedback. It was a real pleasure to work with you and your mother. We will pass your comments on to our care team, to whom it will mean so much.
I would recommend them unreservedly.
Thank you very much for your kind words about our service. It was a pleasure to work with you and we all wish you the best for your ongoing recovery.
With kind regards,
Oona.
As a former health care provider myself, I cannot say enough about the high standard of service of PillarCare. One always wants skilled, observant and efficient professionals, but as important are the compassion and sensitivity with which the care is delivered. We had all these components during a week's visit to London which required me to be at work much of the day. The carers who stayed with my husband provided the companionship and safety I had hoped for, while allowing me to have peace of mind and to focus entirely on my activities without worrying. At the end of each session with a carer, I found him to be smiley and interactive, reflective of the carers' understanding of the psychological aspects of needing care. My husband, a physician himself, was treated as a full individual, not a passive older person. This validation is extremely important for working with elders or anyone with impairment. I felt fortunate to have found PillarCare which met our needs and more.
Sent two very nice girls who were very pleasant and efficient.
In helping me with a live-in carer for my husband, who has Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, I found the staff at PillarCare to be very helpful, with a sense of compassion towards my husband that I really appreciated. They were also flexible in meeting our specific needs and set up an efficient system of monitoring and feedback for us.
The caring company were efficient and when we were not happy with the original carer, they replaced her with someone else immediately.
They came in on a regular basis to review the carer.
Generally a very efficient and communicative company.
Thank you for the excellent care that you all provide.
No criticisms and I would definitely recommend the agency to anyone who required help. I have already done so and my friends were extremely thankful.
I have only praise and no criticisms.
The carers provided by Pillar Care are kind and thoughtful to my godmother, helpful to me as the person responsible for her well-being and they really make it possible for her to have a good life in her own home. The support team also does excellent work and have offered to take on several tasks which I would never have considered asking of them, which has lifted the burden from me tremendously. They make it easy to ask for help and advice and their knowledge and experience make it well worth having.
I wanted an opportunity to record my thanks to you for all the care and attention which you provided me during the last five years. I know only too well that your carers were presented with some challenging situations but they dealt with them very professionally and with a genuine understanding of with wife's complex needs. I appreciated their support, their patience and their commitment. It was obvious that we could not have managed without their input. I also wanted to thank you and your staff for the sympathetic hearing I always received whenever I phoned. It seemed to me that however busy you all were, you always made me feel that you had time to listen and give sensible advice. I give no higher praise than that.
Would just like to say it has been a pleasure dealing with you. You have all been very helpful. You certainly found up a brilliant person in the carer you sent and he made our Uncle's life a lot happier and our Uncle loved him and we think he went peacefully knowing the carer was with him at the end.
PillarCare have been outstanding in managing care for my mother. The carer who we were lucky enough to have had dementia expertise and she was so kind and genuinely caring, especially small details of care like ensuring that all my mother's belongings were laid out in a familiar way she could recognise. The management team understood the pressure we were all under at the time and helped to alleviate that by organising appointments for my mother and speaking to medics involved in her care. They did all of this at no extra cost. My wife and I were impressed and were very grateful at the quality of service we received from everyone we dealt with at PillarCare.
PillarCare Agency couldn't have been more helpful. They were kind and caring every step of the way with mum's care and always had time to talk and answer questions. The management team worked tirelessly and it made such a difference. Initially, we had used one of the bigger companies, who promised they would help at every stage, where in fact they were just an introduction agency and after the initial visit, we were just left to it and neither the carer or us had any support. I would recommend using PillarCare to anyone whose parent has dementia, as they really understand and support the needs of the person having care, their family and their carers. Thank you again for all your help.
