I have been very pleased with Shepshed Carers. With 2 visits a day - help in the morning showering & dressing & support for preparation of evening meal & preparing for bed. The best is that I see the same carers on a regular basis.
All mums carers are very kind, helpful and caring. Mum loves them coming especially the chats they have & fun they have. As a family we are very grateful for their help, and wouldn't be able to look after mum without their help.
My husband had a very complex neurological condition and my Mum Alzheimer's. Their approach is always person centred and tailored to individual need. All the Carers, without exception , are professional , friendly, compassionate and supportive.
Communication from office staff is always good and queries are responded to quickly. Any call time changes are notified.
I have no hesitation in recommending the agency. .
I really cannot recommend this Company highly enough, its not like having Carers in,its like having family in.
You need a care Company then you cannot go wrong selecting this one.
So happy to have had this service from Shepshed Carers for the past 18 months. The carers have been so helpful in attending to my husband mornings and evenings. They wash and dress him, but also encourage him to do what he can. My husband is termed as housebound and also has mixed dementia, so it is good for him to see and chat with the carers. They are so cheerful and lift his spirits. They are very patient and leave everything tidy in the bedroom.
Over the years this company has become my family and I couldn't cope without their care and kindness.
Regards from an 81 yr. old.user, who is ready for a rest.!.
Through my husband's last illness the only support I had was from Shepshed Carers and my son. My son went to work Monday to Friday so I was on my own as my husband's health deteriorated. Shepshed Carers always arrived when booked. They were a great support as my son and I were on our own. The carers who came did as we asked and offered advice as we had no medical training. It could have been a nightmare but Shepshed carers were calm and caring. They gave lots of advice which we followed. They are wonderful.
fantastic advice from all carers about my recent personal care and guidance gave me confidence plus a great boost erm one call is fantastic for me thats gave me free access for rest of the day to carry out my routine out
My review is for the entire time of using Shepshed carers, not just for the last month. Everyone from the lovely lady who answers the phone to every single carer who visits mum, I cannot speak highly enough. Every single carer has been absolutely fantastic, and mum has been very satisfied with the care and support given. Nothing is too much trouble, and I recommend to all of my friends for their parents and loved ones too
Shepshed Carers were so kind, compassionate and professional when looking after my father in his home. They also showed flexibility in an emergency and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. They could not have been more different to the national company that previously "looked after" him, who treated him simply as a number.
My mother needed care but did not want any outside help. We persuaded her to talk to Shepshed Carers. She reluctantly agreed to have care initially for 2 times a day. The staff were excellent, they treated my mum with such care and respect that she looked forward to them coming and then viewed them as friends. As a family, we found the support that we got from Shepshed Carers was exceptional, always there to help advise and to put my mum's needs first. When Mum needed additional care Shepshed Carers increased their visits to 3 times a day and again were excellent, professional and very caring. I'd like to thank them for the help they have given to my mum and us as a family. It meant that we could spend quality time with Mum.
Mam was treated gently and in a happy manner.
Everything was done as I would have wished.
Overall - Shepshed Carers provides a good service.
All providers are very professional and very friendly.
Always come to me on time.
Shepshed Carers employ wonderful and caring staff, who are kind and respectful to my elderly mum and dad. The staff are friendly and caring and my parents look forward to their daily visit. We are really pleased that we chose Shepshed Carers and would highly recommend their professional service.
Very pleased with the care my mum is getting from Shepshed Carers. She is very happy with all the help she gets. Any issues have always been dealt with very quickly and professionally. They would be highly recommended by myself to anyone.
Due to changes in circumstances recently and a dementia diagnosis, my mum needed help with personal care, medications and with her general well-being not being at its best my sister and I started asking around, did Google searches etc. and Shepshed carers seemed to have everything we were looking for (We all want the best for our parents).
Mum was reluctant to accept help from strangers but as daughters, we were struggling to monitor and give the care mum really needed and whilst heartbreaking to accept help, we took the leap. We are 6 weeks into care and I have to say we are delighted with the care she is being given.
Every carer looks after her better than we could ever have imagined. Trustworthy, superb time keeping, communication excellent, dignified care.
Mum is really happy, she loves hearing about their lives, holidays and families.
The only thing I wish now is that we had acted sooner when we were at the stage of does she or doesn’t she need care.
Thank you Shepshed Carers.
I have been in the care of Shepshed Carers for several years. The carers are friendly, experienced and professional, which, in my opinion, are three of the most important factors when choosing carers. Any changes necessary to my care plan are always discussed with and agreed by me. The admin staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Shepshed Carers.
Shepshed Carers gave care to my mother for six years. The carers were always kind and caring towards my mother. Making sure I was aware of anything of concern. Communication was excellent, and we always felt listened to. At times of stress, when my mother was ill, the carers and the administration staff were always supportive and kind. I would recommend Shepshed Carers Ltd.
