Each service user holds a tenancy agreement and has a detailed care and support plan supported by thorough risk assessments. A digital recording system, accessible to service users and families, ensures transparency and consistent high-quality care.

Support may include:
• Meal preparation and cooking
• Budgeting and tenancy management
• Domestic tasks, laundry, and shopping
• Safety awareness
• Developing and maintaining relationships
• Assistance with GP, hospital, dental and optical appointments
• Medication support
• Emotional, psychological, and personal care

Independence is encouraged through daily observation, guidance, and positive reinforcement.

Service users also enjoy a wide range of social activities such as swimming, discos, social clubs, crafts, sports, bowling, cinema trips, lunches out, day trips, and holidays. With five service vehicles and excellent local transport, individuals are supported to access community opportunities and lead active, enjoyable lives.

In 2010, Linda transitioned into a non-executive role, allowing her four children to take on key responsibilities in the day-to-day management of the business. This shift enabled her to focus on her personal interests while remaining closely connected to the company’s strategic direction.


Outside of her professional achievements, Linda enjoys travelling and playing golf, pursuing the hobbies she loves while continuing to provide guidance and support to the organisation she founded.

Shelley English

Shelley, the youngest of the triplets, joined the family business in August 2005 after beginning her career in the travel industry. Since then, she has played a key role in the development and progression of Sherbutt Residential Services, bringing fresh ideas and strong leadership to the organisation.


Shelley has achieved an NVQ Level 4 in Business, further strengthening her expertise and enabling her to drive the company forward with confidence and innovation. Her commitment and strategic insight continue to support the long-term growth and success of the service.

Leigh

Leigh Hatfield

Leigh joined the organisation in 2001 and has since built a strong career within the company. She completed her Nursing Diploma in 2006, followed by achieving her NVQ Level 4, which enabled her to become the Registered Home Care Manager.
