My son is very happy with Sherbutt Homecare and enjoying a full and engaging life. My husband and I can relax in the knowledge that he is fully supported and cared for all his needs are met.Sherbutt staff really care about him and quickly came to understand him. He gets a lot of interaction with the community and other service users and Sherbutt have built up a fulfilling programme of activities for him.

It's a family run company who truly care for their clients . They went over and above helping me through the challenges of the transition . Nothing was too much trouble they made my daughter feel safe and valued and supported. The attention to detail regarding my daughter's care plan so they can support her needs is outstanding .
The communication is excellent and I can always ring them with any concerns and have a friendly conversation . My daughter's friendship circle has grown as she now participates in outings with other clients . As well as doing her own chosen activities It is like one big family and they all live within walking distance of or next door to each other in the lovely town of Pocklington .
I cannot recommend sherbutt enough if you are looking for a place for your loved one .

My overall feeling in relation to Sherbutt is that they instil a feeling of confidence in both my daughter and me.
For me this means I have confidence that she will be - not just looked after - but cared for. Any issue that arises (and there are few) I can approach any member of staff and know the matter will be dealt with quickly and communicated back to myself of the action taken and the outcome.
The staff are magnificent - often going above and beyond what is required.
The facilities are excellent and well maintained.
In respect of my daughter, she feels comfortable approaching any member of staff for help, advice and guidance and she will be listened to.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Sherbutt and its' staff to anyone seeking high quality care for their loved one.

My eldest son has been a service user since 2012. Sherbutt Services have assisted Andrew to live as independent life as he is capable of. The staff were very supportive of when his Dad died several years ago and again when he 'came out'. Andrew has been able to build good relationships with a number of staff. As his now only parent I am very grateful for the kind and professional support he receives.

The overall care that my step-daughter receives is first class. She is always happy and enjoys living in the supported accommodation. The house she lives in is well maintained and clean. She receives whatever assistance is required to live a semi-independent life. The food provided is good quality and nutritious. She gets on really well with all the carers.

My experience at sherbutt house is great I've been here for a year now and I get in really well with the staff and service users and we get to do lots of activities such as disco's swimming gym and walks around the town centre

Perhaps more importantly is our daughter's thoughts on her new home. She LOVES HER care home! Her bedroom is perfect. She has four housemates and prefers to socialise with her housemates in the common lounge rather than be alone in her own room. She never complains of being bored as every day is an adventure. Remarkably she knows the first name of every staff member at the home and they all know her! Whenever we visit her, she always has a smile on her face! Our daughter has never been so happy.

After our mother became terminally ill and could no longer provide care, my sister moved into Sherbutt Lodge. The staff have been fantastic in helping Sam settle and transition into this new chapter. They provide wonderful support and keep her busy with a variety of activities. It is a relief to see Sam so happy and well-cared for.

Linda began her career in healthcare after qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 1978. Driven by her passion for supporting individuals with care needs, she founded Sherbutt Residential Services Ltd in 1989, laying the foundations for the organisation’s strong reputation and family-centred ethos.
In 2010, Linda transitioned into a non-executive role, allowing her four children to take on key responsibilities in the day-to-day management of the business. This shift enabled her to focus on her personal interests while remaining closely connected to the company’s strategic direction.
Outside of her professional achievements, Linda enjoys travelling and playing golf, pursuing the hobbies she loves while continuing to provide guidance and support to the organisation she founded.
Darren, the eldest of the triplets, serves as the Finance Director and has been part of Sherbutt Residential Services since 2010. He oversees all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, and cash management, ensuring the business remains financially strong and strategically positioned for continued growth.
Before joining the family business, Darren worked as an Assistant Accountant for Gamestation, gaining valuable experience in financial processes and commercial operations before the company’s acquisition by Game.
Outside of his professional role, Darren enjoys keeping active at the gym, playing sports, walking his dog, and travelling with his family.
Shelley, the youngest of the triplets, joined the family business in August 2005 after beginning her career in the travel industry. Since then, she has played a key role in the development and progression of Sherbutt Residential Services, bringing fresh ideas and strong leadership to the organisation.
Shelley has achieved an NVQ Level 4 in Business, further strengthening her expertise and enabling her to drive the company forward with confidence and innovation. Her commitment and strategic insight continue to support the long-term growth and success of the service.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending quality time with her family and travelling on holidays.
Leigh joined the organisation in 2001 and has since built a strong career within the company. She completed her Nursing Diploma in 2006, followed by achieving her NVQ Level 4, which enabled her to become the Registered Home Care Manager. Through dedication and continued professional development, Leigh has progressed into the role of Home Care Director, where she oversees the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across the service.
Her leadership, experience, and commitment ensure that service users receive consistent, safe, and compassionate support tailored to their individual needs.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Leigh enjoys going to the gym and spending quality time with her family.
Craig has been a valued member of the organisation since 2009. As a Director, he takes a hands-on approach to his role, working directly on the shop floor to support day-to-day operations and ensure high standards across the service. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Craig provides training on the company’s digital systems, helping staff develop the skills needed to work efficiently and confidently.
His practical experience, commitment, and approachable leadership style contribute significantly to the smooth running of the organisation.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys football, staycations, karaoke, and spending quality time with his family.
Peter, husband to Linda, has played a vital role in maintaining all of the organisation’s properties to the highest standards over many years. His dedication, practical expertise, and attention to detail have ensured that every environment remains safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
Now in semi-retirement, Peter divides his time between Spain and the UK while continuing to support the maintenance needs of the business. Outside of his professional contributions, he can often be found on the golf course or out cycling—especially in the Spanish sunshine. When in the UK, he enjoys supporting Sheffield United.
