Good people, well-trained - unlike the previous firm. Easy to get on with, in the short time they've been looking after my wife. Really comfortable with your staff.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review; this means so much to our organisation. We are very proud of the Health Care Assistant here at Supportive and do invest in quality training. Thank you once again.
In general, we have been pleased with the service provided by yourselves. We have seen a lot of different carers since, some with very little experience and times of visits being erratic. Hopefully, now the holiday period is over, it now will be more stable.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review on Supportive. We are pleased to say we have several new staff due to the expansion of the service we provide and do invest in supplying quality training. The training is important to ensure staff are both competent and confident in the care and support they deliver. Once again, thank you for taking the time to submit your review.
Since my mum has had Supportive taking over her carer package, myself and my mum have not had to complain about her care at all. My mother is enjoying and loving every carer that has been in. All carers who come in four times a day are very caring, always engaging with their clients, and always having a good laugh while doing the visits. I can not fault them at all. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a home care provider or anyone who wants to work for a care provider company go with Supportive 100% recommendation for them; they go way above and beyond. Many more years to have them for my mother.
Here at Supportive, we provide high standards of training to all our staff to ensure they are competent and confident to support each service user to a high standard. I am pleased you are happy with the service we provide and that you would recommend Supportive; thank you once again.
Overall I think it's satisfactory, there has been a couple of issues which keep cropping up, office staff take messages but do not follow through with requests.
I will contact you to discuss and resolve your concerns you may have.
The carers are all lovely and friendly and treat my son with care and respect. He knows he will see the same people most of the time, which makes it easier as he recognises them and feels more comfortable.
Once again thank you for your review.
Supportive have cared for my mother for many years and enabled her to live at home with some form of independence. Whilst she was resistant initially, she cannot be without them and over the years has made many friends that have become like family to her. She now has a robust care package requiring a number of staff on daily visits and the routine keeps her stable. They are friendly, approachable and professional and deserve medals. We could not manage without them. Many thanks to all.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful review. I do agree here at Supportive we do have excellent healthcare assistants, that maintain and promote individuals' independence. Within the near future, we are introducing an award scheme, this will ensure all our staff are fully recognised for the work they all do.
Office staff keep changing pre-arranged times to suit themselves and push my mam's call back. This can have a detrimental impact on Mam's skin viability and her mental health. I would have changed providers, however, Mam's carers are excellent and some will go above and beyond.
The care team have been fantastic caring for Father. All so friendly often going above and beyond to make sure all needs were taken care of. It was so important to Dad that he lived his final days at home, the supportive care team meant he could and we are greatly thankful. All the carers who looked after Dad were caring, sensitive and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate on recommending supportive care. Five star!
Always polite and friendly, treating my husband with respect and dignity.
On behalf of the Supportive homecare team, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for a fantastic review relating to our care staff. I agree they do go beyond expectations. Over the past months, the care team spoke very highly of your father and were passionate about the care and support they gave him.
Supportive SRC Ltd have been providing a service for my mum over November until she went into a care home on 18/11/2022. I am extremely impressed with all of the staff at Supportive. I have had no worries or concerns about my mum, she has been cared for to an extremely high standard. She has also had services above and beyond, such as washing and domestic care which has allowed me to go and just sit and talk to my mum.
I would firstly like to introduce myself, I am Jan and I oversee Quality and Compliance within the service, with the support of the Homecare team. We are all delighted to receive your fantastic review on the service we provide. We agree that our Health Care Assistances, do go up and...
I have the same carers 6-days a week. The 4th day is her day off, and I then usually have the same carer on that day, if not, the carer that fills in is usually ok. I am 97- (nearly 98) still ok (more or less).
Thank you for your review and lovely feedback. We are delighted that you are happy with the service you receive from Supportive, and I will certainly share your comments with our team.

Meet the Team (4)
I joined Supportive in January 2012 following a long Chief Officer career in management for Local Authorities and County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service. It is certainly different managing a not-for-profit charity and I am proud to have successfully steered Supportive through the economic downturn, which has affected Social Care Services.
People are at the heart of what we do and over the last two years, we have started to see our Ambulance Service flourish. Supportive’s amazing Volunteer Car drivers expand to over one hundred & seventy, delivering tens of thousands of journeys each year. Finally, but not least we have a very dedicated Home Care Service with one hundred care staff making a positive difference in people’s lives. I expect the next few years to continue to be busy and varied as my team deliver our business objectives supported by a strong team of trustees.
When I am not in the office, I can be found volunteering as a School Governor at Dean Bank Primary and Nursery School, cycling around our lovely lanes and away roughing it in our campervan.
I am Head of Operations following an impressive career in the Social Care Sector.
Most recently I have been awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award" within the Northeast region at the Great British Care Awards.
On a day-to-day basis, I work hard to maintain employee relations and promote a culture that encourages productivity, creativity, innovation and growth.
I always put service users at the forefront of the business to help develop existing relationships and bring in new service users, supporting our sustainable growth plans.
I recognise that nurturing our people through a strong and inclusive culture is two of the most important aspects of support. Not only are they key to our success, but they are a key differentiator that significantly sets us apart within our industry. That’s why I ensure that everything we do is underpinned by a people-centric approach, satisfied employees and robust talent management.
I also contribute heavily towards our wellness initiatives and I am a strong advocate for doing everything we can to care for our people and give back to those we so proudly serve.
Hello, I’m Jill the new Head of Corporate at Supportive.
I am part of a fabulous team dealing with HR, Recruitment, Welfare, Charity fundraising and Health and Safety. Over the past 6.5 years, I have experienced the dynamic nature of this wonderful charity, where no two days are alike. Working here is always exciting and the rewards are immeasurable.
When I’m not working, I find solace in spending quality time with my family, socialising with friends and taking leisurely walks with my beloved boxer dog. My greatest source of pride in life is my two beautiful daughters, who share my love for attending concerts.
I take immense pride in providing support to our frontline staff, who are the most caring and amazing people I have ever met. They tirelessly work to deliver outstanding service to the vulnerable people in our community.
