My name is Helen Townson, and I’m the Care Manager here at SureCare Preston & South Ribble. With over 19 years of experience in the care sector, I’ve had the privilege of growing through a variety of roles — starting as a care worker, progressing to Senior in 2008, then Supervisor in 2009, Care Coordinator, and finally Care Manager. Every step of that journey has shaped who I am today, and I truly wouldn’t change a thing. Care has always been more than a job to me — it’s something I’m deeply passionate about.

When individuals first enquire about our services, I take the time to understand their needs fully and make sure we can support them in a way that feels personal and meaningful. I want their introduction to SureCare to feel warm, reassuring, and positive — like they’re joining a team that genuinely cares. You’ll often see me out in the community carrying out initial assessments, ensuring that every person receives the right support from the very beginning.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of our ever-growing team. I truly believe we offer something special — not just in the care we provide, but in the way we support one another behind the scenes. It means so much to me that, together, we help people stay in their own homes for as long as possible. My name is Tia Sawyer, and I’m the Senior Care Coordinator here at SureCare Preston & South Ribble. I’ve been working in the care sector for over six years, and although my journey began in 2023 as a carer, I quickly discovered how much I loved supporting both Service Users and staff. I worked my way up to Senior in early 2024 and became a Care Coordinator in 2026 — a progression I’m incredibly proud of. Every step has shaped the way I work today: with passion, empathy, and a real drive to make a difference.

I’m committed to spending time with individuals when they first enquire about our services, making sure we fully understand their needs and can support them in the best possible way. That first introduction to SureCare should feel warm, reassuring, and positive — like joining a family. I love being part of that experience.

You’ll often see me out in the community carrying out initial assessments and service user reviews, making sure our support remains consistent, personalised, and genuinely helpful. Behind the scenes, I work closely on carer rotas, ensuring the right carer is in the right place at the right time. It’s a role that requires organisation, intuition, and a lot of heart — and I thrive on it.

I’m proud to be part of our ever-growing team. I truly believe we offer something special, and it means so much to me that, together, we help people stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
