Crossroads Care Surrey have been excellent in providing me with some respite to get out and play golf with my friends. I can go out knowing she is in good hands, it is a great help for me.
The carer always came promptly and was a pleasure to have in the home. Always cheerful and looked after my husband with kindness, compassion and efficiency. I felt totally confident in leaving him with her. She kept him motivated by doing crosswords and puzzles My husband has advanced Parkinson's disease and enjoyed being with her.
The reguarly carer is reliable, helpful, friendly, makes tea, washes up. He is really good.
She always makes sure my mother has all she needs when she needs it.
My husband and I are very fond of the befriender allocated to visit my husband once a week whilst I am at work or catch up on my weekly shopping. We hope that he will visit regularly for as long as possible. A big thank you to him and your team for making this visit possible.
Sometimes we are disorganised and not coping when the carers arrived, but by the time they have sorted us out we are left organised and able to cope. It is thanks to the carers that "insert connection here" is able to live at home which is happiness for both of us.
I am grateful for the opportunity provided, which allows me a couple of hours to leave the house without anxiety. My husband, who has dementia, goes for a walk with the visiting carers and is relaxed in her company.
Amazing help to destress, break from caring with professional care and friendship which was truly supporting out young adult with disabilities. We could not have coped in lockdown without Crossroads Care Surrey giving care as soon as was possible last year and since.
Absolutely fabulous support from Crossroads Care. Very kind, listening and offering all-round service to help with care for my frail mother. As soon as I got in touch, I felt there was somebody looking after me. Never experienced such professional, organised and caring support in my eight years of caring.
This service is an absolute lifeline, gives you a few hours of relaxation.
The care provided by Crossroads Care is excellent. The sensitivity, kindness, understanding and professionalism displayed by the staff is exceptional. Their close attention to my wife’s gradual decline has resulted in me being made aware of new symptoms and advice on following these up with the doctor, this recently included an urgent visit to A&E. I get outstanding service from Crossroads. Thank you Crossroads for providing marvellous support over the years.
Extremely helpful. All carers have been friendly and patient.
My husband and I have found our home carer from Crossroads invaluable. She is always extremely helpful and friendly and cheerfully undertakes whatever I ask her. She gets on well with my husband who is suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia, her k knowledge of the disease and of the course it takes with other sufferers is very helpful for me. I would hate to be without her.
The service provided is a weekly 3 hour period of respite for me as the carer of my wife. The person has always been timely, is very helpful and has developed a good relationship with my wife who suffers from dementia and has limited mobility. I am fully confident in leaving my wife in her care for that period. I have had only positive experiences with office management.
My Crossroads lady is kind, helpful and friendly. I no longer have use of my hands so she does all my writing out of cards, letters to my friends/family. I write poetry and she types all my poetry into a book for me. If there's a problem she is there to support me. We're truly blessed.
We find that Crossroads Care Surrey's service is very good and much needed as it gives me time away. Thanks.
Having aphasia it is good to have conversation and to have the opportunity of meeting others I know when taken out in my wheelchair around the village and chatting to the carer over coffee. At home, she does some of the 'talk' activities (sent during the pandemic) with me and plays music which I also enjoy as I used to sing. The shopping service during lockdown - so helpful. This service is so appreciated, giving wife respite, time out.
My carer really understands my son and my family's needs. It means I can leave my son in her care with confidence he will be well looked after whilst I can spend time with my other son or take time out for myself.
Crossroads carers are well trained and do follow the government guidelines to coronavirus. I find them very empathetic, caring and empowering to the client. Good communication skills and leave the place tidy. They go that extra mile. The client is at the centre of all care Crossroads provides. Brilliant, wonderful carers.
Our main carer had such a great rapport with my husband who is living with severe Alzheimer's disease and she gave me added support and input when dealing with challenging issues as well as the helpful suggestions for choosing puzzles and games, eg. use of block colours for jigsaws which really helped my husband continue enjoying this pastime.
She did this with such patience, good humour and importantly excellent training and experience to support her knowledge of this disease.
The coordinator did her best to provide care as requested.
My husband is now in a care home. It was an honour to care for him at home. Sadly his needs became more complex but I am grateful he is being well cared for.
Many thanks for the help Crossroads gave us and they deserve so much praise.
It was our pleasure to have been able to support you and your husband over the past year. Thank you for taking the time to review our service. Your comments mean a great deal and will be shared with our Carer Support Workers.
