Professional, friendly, always polite. This describes all staff, be they management, supervisor or carer. Easily contactable with a very flexible approach. They give respect and deserve respect. I know I can trust my mother in their care. More importantly, my mother likes "her ladies" as she calls the
carers. Communication is never a problem and they are all very understanding.

I have nothing but praise and thanks to give the whole of the team. They have provided an excellent service to my mum and to me and the whole family. It is only because of their care that mum was able to stay in her own home for so long. Their carers are well trained, they all have a positive attitude
and enjoy their work, their processes ensure medications and anything else that needs to be done is always done. They communicated with me for any issues which has been so reassuring. Mum is now in a care home but still talks about the carers she had as friends which I think is amazing. I'm so pleased we chose them after great reviews from others. Keep up the good work. Kerry.

My father, who has complex needs due to a number of physical and mental health issues, has been receiving support from Bluebird Care for around five years which has enabled him to remain in his own home. During this time the agency have been very responsive to his fluctuating needs and absolutely excellent
in involving me appropriately in the process. All of the home carers are extremely caring and have taken time to really get to know my father; he now sees them as his friends. The management have always been pro-active in his care and work closely with my father and myself; at times they have taken a great deal of responsibility in liaising with health care professionals which has been of great benefit to us both. Sometimes my father has been very challenging to work with but the agency have always gone the extra mile for him. The only downside is that Bluebird Care are more expensive than most other agencies but you get what you pay for here; they are absolutely outstanding.

Mum had always wished to stay in her own home, however, her dementia needs and family living 70 miles away made this difficult. We are very grateful for the care provided by Bluebird: it was priceless. The whole team treated Mum with dignity, respect and kindness. Bluebird is a professionally run organisation
with a focus on the high standards of care given to the service user - our Mum. She was reliant upon them for her care, medication and nourishment. They were punctual and never missed a visit in the 3 years they helped us. The whole team, (carers, and office/management) were always available to give advice or listen to our concerns and requests for increased support for Mum. Without the Bluebird team and the high standards of care Mum could not have remained at home for so long. Not only did they care for Mum but they communicated with the family so Mum's care needs were identified and met as soon as they arose. Their communication links are excellent. We thank each of them.

My mother and I found the care and support provided by Bluebird to be of the highest standard and to be encouraged to be led by my mother. We were both particularly impressed by the care taken to 'match' my mother with a care staff member that would understand and respect her choices.
I would like
to add that, not living near my mother geographically, I found it comforting to have such a consistent staff team to contact as well as an office I could drop into when visiting.

We chose Bluebird after my 92-year-old Father moved into his new apartment and we noticed so many Bluebird carers visiting other elderly residents nearby. Their office was nearby so I was able to meet the admin team as well as the carers' coordinator to give details of what I wanted for Dad. The morning
carers would give Dad his tablets and help with making his bed etc and ensure he had breakfast. They would make up some sandwiches for tea. Two evenings per week, he had carers to deal with his medication and give him some company. Bluebird kept the number of different carers to a minimum as much as possible and they all treated Dad with kindness and respect. Unfortunately in March Dad had a fall overnight in the apartment and his carer found him. She dealt with the crisis professionally and calmly and had called the ambulance when I arrived. She stayed until the paramedics arrived and I was able to deal with my Father. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I had a two-stage revision hip operation with surgery at the beginning of November 2016 and January 2017.
Bluebird Care staff have helped me over the last four months, before, during and after my operations.
They attended every morning without fail to undertake all necessary care activities, leaving
me set for the day.
The staff were always friendly, helpful and very professional, nothing was too much trouble. I found it reassuring knowing I could rely on their daily visit at the appointed time - a vital part of the recovery process for me.
So Bluebird Care thank you most sincerely for all you did - much appreciated.

I found all the carers who visited Mum very kind, helpful and supportive of my her care needs, and Mum soon gained a good relationship with several of the carers.
We found the comments in the folder extremely helpful in providing an interface between their care provision and our understanding of Mum's
needs.
Their ability to identify potential health problems, e.g. UTIs, and communicate them to us, was invaluable in ensuring actions were put into place.
The actions taken by the carer after Mum had fallen were invaluable in both ensuring her rapid admission to hospital and providing us with clear information as the situation developed.
They were proactive in arranging extra care support when the need arose as part of Mum's discharge plan.

I used Bluebird for a short period after a hip replacement operation. All the carers and office staff were extremely professional and all very nice. I was very pleased with the service I received and particularly liked receiving prior notice of the name of the carer and what time to expect them.
All in all very happy with Bluebird.

My sister and I spoke to a number of care agencies after our 91 year old mother had had a couple of spells in hospital following accidental falls while she was out and about in the town where she lived independently in her own flat . During her re-ablement period back at home we had all experienced
a wide variety of NHS staff delivering a high level of care, so we had built up some experience and knowledge about exactly what was needed. We were looking for a care organisation that would be able to deliver a high level consistent, friendly, professional and respectful service on a daily basis.. We interviewed a number of outfits, and were very impressed with the Bluebird proposition and staff. Bluebird allocated an individual carer to make 30 minutes calls each morning and provided stability, certainty, a friendly ear and a helpful hand to the beginning of every day.

Bluebird carers have been caring for mum for 2 years and their excellent support has allowed her to stay at home for as long as possible. Unfortunately due to progressing Alzheimer's and numerous falls she has recently moved into residential care. I can't thank the Bluebird team enough for their continued
support over this challenging period. Every little change to mum's health and memory has been accommodated by the carers and office staff - who have all been more than understanding, compassionate and gone out of their way to help. It's very comforting in today's very busy environment to have found an agency and carers who do what they say they will do when they say they'll do it. Mum was more than happy with her group of carers and enjoyed the laughs and chats. I have already recommended your services to quite a few people. Thank you all.

We were drawn into the care industry after witnessing first-hand the wide variety in the quality of care people experience. We each had a grandfather receiving care at around the same time, with one service being exceptional and the other leaving a lot to be desired to put it mildly. It made us realise two things:

What a difference high-quality care can make to somebody’s life
There are not enough high-quality providers out there
That was then, and now we have 11 years experience of in providing Outstanding home care, as rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our simple test that runs through everything we do is that we need to provide the care that we would want our own family members to receive.

As such, we like to think of our team as an extension of our customers’ families. There really is no better feeling than helping somebody else out, and we constantly get a kick out of hearing the difference our teams are making to people’s lives on a daily basis.

Outside of work, we are kept busy with our three children, which means Jack has increasingly less time to go fishing and play cricket, though our eldest is now just about old enough to get involved with him too, so its alright now!

After being set on a life in Veterinary Medicine and studying hard Becky lost her father to early onset dementia, She needed to work and continued to pursue an animal orientated career as horses in particular are her passion. She worked as a freelance groom and also for a large animal welfare charity for almost ten years. With few prospects for progression she decided she needed a new direction.

Becky says: "My mother has worked in care since I was young and my sister followed her path. (They are both now Bluebirds I might add!) I had a lot of experience working for myself and providing a customer service role for those whose animals I had cared for so I felt I had some transferable skills for the role as well as a tough constitution, especially having done both a physically and mentally demanding role in animal welfare.

I felt I would give it a try and it didn’t have to be permanent if it didn’t fit. I went on to work for a local care agency providing home care for elderly and disabled adults for 6 years, from that first week I never looked back.

I joined Bluebird Care in 2015 and soon completed QCF Level 2 and became a mentor. In 2017 I gained a promotion to Supervisor and achieved Level 5 QCF in Social Care Leadership & Management, in 2019 a promotion to Lead Supervisor, in 2021 I became Registered Manager, in 2022 I have taken on running the general Operations of the Business, it's goals, vision and direction.

There isn't many roles I haven't now had within Care and that stands me in a really good place to fully understand the people, the service and the value, efforts and challenges each member of the team has in their contribution to this excellent service.

Working for Bluebird has shown me there are opportunities for a career in care, I am a working example of that and I feel I can really make a difference. I want to share that with everyone who crosses my path! I enjoy meeting new customers and hearing about people’s lives and history and working with people so they can continue to lead full and independent lives as much as possible at home.
