However, we encountered significant concerns with several other carers, which unfortunately impacted the overall quality of service. There was a noticeable lack of understanding regarding basic personal care and, specifically, proper catheter care. Issues included not ensuring the catheter was flowing correctly or connecting properly to the night bag, which is a fundamental requirement. It often felt as though these carers did not fully grasp the severity of my partner's critical illness.
