Overall Experience

Caremark has provided outstandingly kind, compassionate and consistently professional care for my Dad, and invaluable support for my mum. Although they were initially apprehensive about accepting care Caremark were wonderful. Everyone we have met, from the assessment staff to daily carers has been polite, understanding and patient. The warmhearted and efficient service has made a huge difference to our families peace of mind. We highly recommend Caremark. Thank you very much.

I have had a consistently good level of care from Caremark, they have always listened and acted upon my requests. Staff are friendly and engaged, management are easy to get hold of and keen to get feedback and ensure my needs are being met.

Overall Experience
Our mum is 86 years old and has no short term memory but other than this she is able to care for herself with the families support.
We have carers go in twice a day for 30 minutes, to predominantly just chat to mum and then check she has taken her medication.
This half an hour of one to one conversation, twice a day is invaluable.
The carers have taken the time to get to know my mum and enjoy listening to her retell stories of her past and family.
This is an essential part of why we have been able to keep my mum living in her own home.
Yes, sometime we have had small issues, but they have always been responded to very quickly and sorted out immediately by the office management, who are really great. Reviews are constantly done to reassess your care package and to check that you are happy with everything.

I would thoroughly recommend the Caremark team at Dunmow.

All staff be it office or those on the front line are willing to listen to any requests and do all they can to ensure all your needs are met. They are willing and supportive with the physical impairment physio and very encouraging in helping with recovery progress in all areas.

Overall Experience

Cannot thank Caremark enough for looking after Mum. After two falls one after another and two major operations the care, assistance, and making Mum feel comfortable have been excellent. The language barrier has been the hardest battle for Mum but the careers have all managed to communicate with an online translator and have made Mum laugh and put her at ease although she was in a lot of pain. We will miss you all a great bunch of honest and caring people. The management has been quick in organising sitting care for Mum and has helped us out in such difficult times when we could not take any time off from work, 3 members of staff, in particular, thank you for your understanding and the support you have had in our regards.

Overall Experience

We are extremely satisfied with the care given to my husband. The carers are all friendly, efficient and willing to do whatever is requested. We are so satisfied with the care received that when my husband was last in hospital, we requested Caremark. The hospital said they couldn't guarantee them and his discharge was delayed by four days until we managed to get them.

Overall Experience

They blow-dry my hair, are very caring and give me nice showers. They chat and provide lovely food and take extra care to make it look nice. It makes me feel safe and means I know my family are able to not worry and have help looking after me.

We have been receiving care for my father from Caremark for several months and are very impressed and grateful for the care that he receives. Caring for my dad can be challenging, as he has dementia, but Caremark carers carry out his personal care very professionally and compassionately. What sets the carers above other companies is the warmth and good humour of many of the staff. They take the time to chat to Mum and get her smiling. The team leaders do a really excellent job. We look forward to seeing them! A big thank you from us all. One of the carers is wonderful too!

My husband has really taken to the carers. He's now verbal with limited mobility and the carers are very supportive and encourage him. He has improved greatly since coming out of hospital and really benefits from the service the carers provide.

The care my husband received from the carers was brilliant. They were all so lovely and made him and myself feel really supported.
On one occasion after my husband left hospital, we were given carers from a different company, the standard of their care made us realise how brilliant Caremark were and fortunately we're able to return to Caremark.

I can’t praise them enough.

Hello all - I just wanted to drop you a review to let you know of our sincere gratitude for all that you did for Grandad. Even in his last few days, everyone treated him with the utmost love, care and dignity. Not only that nothing was too much trouble and everyone always checked to see how I was doing and whether there was anything they could do for me.
We especially want to say a huge thank you to the caregivers for the constant support over these last eight months, nothing was ever too much trouble in terms of getting Grandad the support he needed and putting our minds at ease.

I started Caremark (Chelmsford & Uttlesford) in 2010, and have worked tirelessly alongside my team to build a service we are all proud of.

We will all face a time when we need a little help; maybe for someone we love, or maybe for ourselves. At that time, we would all hope the people we turn to would treat us with kindness and respect. Having witnessed the difference positive care can make, I am determined that we will strive every day to support our clients to live lives that matter.

Michael comes from a background in financial services, working both at home and abroad, and joined the company full-time in 2014. Working in the care industry is immensely positive; our excellent care assistants make a huge difference to our customers' lives every day.

I am the Registered Manager at Caremark Chelmsford and Uttlesford, with over two decades of experience in social care. I began my career in care homes in 1999 and have since worked with both older adults and individuals with learning disabilities.

Hi, my name is Lorraine, and I have been back at Caremark for 1 year. My role is Quality and Compliance Officer. I started my career as a nurse and worked for the NHS for 32 years. I did many different jobs, including palliative care. I was a district nursing matron and a nurse practitioner at a GP surgery. I came into care in 2011 when I felt the nursing profession was more about targets than human contact. I worked for a care company in Chelmsford until 2016, I worked up to deputy manager and was also the trainer. In 2016, I came to Caremark here in Dunmow as the registered manager. I enjoyed 3 happy years and was here when we put our first clients on PASS. I completed the Level 5 H&SC management and leadership qualification during that time. I left to work for a training company, so I could work more from home and care for my mother, who was living with dementia. I completed a qualification in teaching and assessing and supported many carers to achieve Health and Social Care qualifications at levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Now back at Caremark, I work 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I go out in the field, monitoring the quality of care received and delivered. I complete new assessments, creating support plans to suit the customer’s needs. I support the team with Induction training and hope to do some topic-specific teaching sessions. I hope my wealth of experience will be an asset to the office team and provide extra support in the field for the care workers and clients.

Since joining Caremark in April 2023 as a Care Coordinator, I have progressed into the role of Business Support Officer with the ongoing support, encouragement, and development opportunities provided by the fantastic team at Caremark.

Before starting my career in health and social care, I worked across a variety of industries, including steelwork, carpentry, and environmental health in an office-based role. Moving into care was a completely new experience for me, but it is one I have embraced wholeheartedly and have never looked back on.

Working at Caremark has given me the opportunity to make a real difference within my local community by supporting people with compassion, dignity, and the highest standards of care. I am passionate about helping each individual maintain their independence and ensuring their personal needs are met in a way that is tailored specifically to them. I find it incredibly rewarding to build positive relationships with the people we support and understand that no two individuals are the same, which is what makes working in care so meaningful to me.

With over 14 years of experience in the care industry, I am passionate about supporting people in a kind, compassionate, and person-centred way. I began my career working directly in the community as a carer at Caremark, where I developed a real understanding of how important dignity, empathy, and trust are when caring for others.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of care settings, including a care home and hospital wards, which has helped me build both my skills and confidence within health and social care. I have now returned to Caremark as a Care Coordinator, where I enjoy supporting both clients and care staff to help ensure the best possible care is provided.
