The member of staff was friendly and attentive to my needs as far as the circumstances allowed and anxious not to cause harm.

After a short spell in hospital, it was such a help to have Bluebird Care (Ealing) in for three calls a day at first, then two and later one hour in the morning. They were all so pleasant and helpful.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.556 for Bluebird Care Ealing is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 4.556
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Bluebird Care Ealing is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Prafula and Munjal

Prafula and Munjal Joshi

Job Title: Directors

Prafula's Story
Prafula started off as a care worker at a large care company and worked herself up to be a care coordinator but became frustrated with the way things were run. She could see inefficiencies and vast problems that made consistency of care difficult to provide. Determined that a home care company could do better she obtained all the necessary leadership and care management qualifications and founded Bluebird Care (Harrow) in 2007. Due to the great reputation, she had built in Harrow she decided to open her second franchise (Brent) in 2012 to follow in her footsteps.
“We recognise that each person is valuable and unique with his and her own purpose, personality and history”.

Munjal's Story
Munjal has a background in Business and Entrepreneurship, having worked for a number of start-ups and big companies including running his own shop.

However, through his family, he had personal experience of the poor level of care delivered and along with Prafula he passionately believed that care could and should be done better.

“The package of care is specifically tailored to the needs of our customers, and this is reviewed frequently to ensure it continues to meet the person’s needs”.
