Bluebird immediately stepped up to provide extra care to help Dad resettle at home on both occasions. They provide an excellent support system in making sure that Dad is up and dressed, the house is clean and tidy and he has his lunch ready before they leave. Also on days where Dad is feeling well, they use the visit to take him to a local garden centre for a coffee, as it is great for him to get out when he can.
I have also been impressed by how flexible Bluebird have been when we have requested to either increase or decrease visits.

Care is 4 visits a day and nothing is overlooked. Using a secure app and what's app keeps us updated at all times and nothing is too much trouble for bluebird. Instant communication via secure WhatsApp and any action required to resolve issues can be taken quickly.

My mother developed rapidly deteriorating Dementia managing this situation you feel very alone when searching solutions to support and ensure their dignity and wishes in my mother's case to remain in her home. I reached out to Bluebird who immediately came to visit us and gently communicated with my mother in helping her to understand what care plan could be provided trying their best to include her wishes. The carers had a very challenging job but they were honestly excellent in handling and caring what I appreciated most was the constant daily communication with the team. In July her conditions became very serious I don't know what I would have done without their advice as they were put in a position to manage an end of life situation. Their experience saw them reach out to doctors and paramedics to ensure my mother's comfort before she passed away. I can only thank them and show gratitude for everything and for continuing to stay in touch with kindness and caring for the family.

Bluebird have been looking after my elderly father for six months now, ever since my mother went into a care home. They have taken note of all his needs and wishes and have responded to any changing circumstances quickly and efficiently. He is more than happy with the carers who come to see him once a day, mostly to clean and look after the house, but also to provide him with some companionship and administer to his medication and occasional health needs. The staff are always only a phone message away and any changes in my father's circumstances are always relayed to me quickly.

Bluebird Care have been a huge support for us as a family, not just in terms of everyday care, but when an illness came up the care and coordination to support whilst we were abroad was hugely reassuring. Bluebird acted as 'double-up' carers for my mother's pre-existing 24 hour rolling home care for a period of 6 months when I managed to get Mum home from hospital. They were simply fantastic. Mum looked forward to their visits 4 times per day. They were such warm people, very friendly and caring. They fitted in well with Mum's team and were a pleasure to meet when I was there. They never let us down. Many of the carers came from Zimbabwe and how lucky were we to have them on board. The Office side of Bluebird were also initially very quick to meet me to discuss their services and super efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend this branch of Bluebird. Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede has provided carer visits four time per day for my bed-bound husband - personal care etc. for eight months since November 2023. Extremely efficient carers and visits always punctual. I was never let down since I used this service. Highly professional and lovely carers, very kind, patient and sociable... efficient. My husband always looked forward to their visits and was sad to say goodbye. Highly recommended.

Our mum has been looked after by Bluebird for a number of years now, starting with general cleaning and help around the house, then several visits a week for support with personal care. In January 2024 we realised that she needed more support and the Bluebird team was there for us - her needs were assessed, a plan suggested and then implemented very quickly. She now has twice daily visits and we have the reassurance of knowing that carers are regularly going in. The team, both managers and carers, are wonderful - responsive, supportive and professional. We can keep on top of how things are going with the detailed care notes and regular reviews and having met a number of the team I'm so impressed with the very personal approach and how well they know their clients. This fabulous team of caring people are enabling Mum to stay at home which is what she really wants to do, we would not hesitate to recommend them.

We have had care for Dad since July when we started on 3 visits a week and Dad now has live-in care due to his neurological condition progressing very rapidly. They actively assisted us in getting my mother-in-law home from the hospital and assessing her care needs. Organising equipment and assessments to fit her new requirements. We have app access to check on her daily health and care. We also have a message group with the office for any general information or extra help needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird.

In June, the family realised Mum needed full-time care. Having already had a successful care package from Bluebird Care, we approached them about live-in care. The lady who is living with Mum is absolutely wonderful. The process felt well managed and safe, and the manager brought the lady and made regular follow-up visits to check all is well. The live-in carer updates open pass 3 x daily, and we have a WhatsApp group. She does a lot to engage Mum and takes her out in her wheelchair. Mum seems a little more alert to her surroundings since we have had live-in care. Mum is happy and settled. Bluebird Care responds immediately if we have questions. We can now be daughters to Mum and are happy she is safe. A wonderful agency.

Bluebird have helped my mother for years. They have always been extremely supportive and helpful. She has had consistently good care and has liked all the caregivers. She has looked forward to seeing them and enjoyed them being in her home. If at any time arrangements have had to change because of hospital appointments etc they have been helpful and accommodated the changes. In a world where you worry about an elderly relative they have provided quality safe care and it has been a huge weight off my shoulders.

In 2018 Bluebird Care Elmbridge & Runnymede were chosen to be the carers for my mum and it never ceases to amaze me at the dedicated, loving care they provide. This gives great comfort to my mum as well as providing me with peace of mind that she is in very good hands. They go above and beyond. One of the best decisions I have made.
Bluebird has played an integral part in my grandfather and now grandmother's life for some time now. They are caring, honest, and extremely professional. Their service has meant that both my grandparents have been able to retain some level of independence, crucial for her mental health and wellbeing. They are always quick to respond when urgent care or action is needed and excellent at keeping me updated. My grandmother refers to them as angels. Really couldn't put it better myself.

Jonathan’s family have worked in the social care sector for nearly 40 years. Before Bluebird Care, Jonathan spent most of his career in account management servicing large multinationals within the IT and Telecoms sector. Vanessa is a trained therapist with 15 years of experience in providing health and beauty treatments and managing key accounts. Together, they share a passion for quality and for ‘getting things right’ for their customers.
Their winning formula has been to care for their customers by caring for their team. Recruiting and retaining the very best people, who possess the gifts of kindness, compassion and selflessness, has been the bedrock of their service.

Kayley has been with Bluebird Care for just over 6 years, starting as our Care Coordinator. Her philosophy is very much to care for her Customers by caring for her team. She is kind and supportive of everyone and is propelled by a deep sense of getting things right for our customers. Kayley has built a great team around her, all of whom started as care assistants and have been with the business for many years.
Bibiana, affectionately known as Bibi, joined Bluebird Care as a part-time carer while balancing a Sainsbury's role. It didn’t take long for her to discover that her true passion lay in care work, leading her to become a part of our Bluebird Care team, full-time. Now, as Field Care Supervisor, Bibi plays a crucial role in the office and in the field. Her leadership, kindness and dedication make her an indispensable team member. Her positive energy and commitment always shine through, and she's a key in supporting customers who affectionately see her as part of their extended family.
Ilona joined Bluebird Care in January 2022 as a part-time carer while completing her bachelor’s degree in Criminology. Her dedication, warmth, and passion for supporting independent living have been clear from the very beginning. She loves helping customers remain comfortable in their own homes, listening to their stories, and making their daily lives as easy and enjoyable as possible. Outside of work, Ilona enjoys being a proud mum and wife, travelling, and discovering new places.
Debi is our Marketing Coordinator and brings many years of experience from the advertising, direct marketing and communications industry to continually keep our presence and marketing fresh and relevant.
