Every effort is made to provide continuity so that my mother is helped by a team of friendly, smiling carers; she is always told who will be visiting her and when. The carers form a bond with my mother making her feel comfortable and at ease, without overstepping the client/carer relationship boundary. My mother looks forward to her time each day. Nothing is too much trouble, whether it be personal care, shopping, writing Xmas cards, providing a hot water bottle or just a chat and a cup of tea.
The management maintains a good, transparent and consistent relationship with the family, and are always very approachable and amenable to the occasional last minute changes.

The carers on the coal face are cheerful, positive towards their clients and respect their dignity.They are dressed smartly but informally so the client feels they are a friend rather than a formal professional. They provide a very individual care plan which they frequently update as situations change. They always have time and never seem rushed to go on to their next call, even though they must feel the pressure. They promote healthy eating.
