Overall Experience

Independent People Homecare have provided live-in care to a family member for a number of years. We have received great service from the management and administrative team, and the care staff have been well-trained, respectful and considerate at all times. I would highly recommend the service to anyone

Overall Experience

I have been extremely grateful for the care, commitment and professionalism of Mum's carer, who has been with her now for 5 months. Mum's dementia is progressing week by week - at times rapidly - but the carer has adapted brilliantly to every change in Mum's behaviours and capabilities. It is incredibly

This review may not do the service the justice it deserves, but I shall try. We are only a few days in with my mums live in carer and I can already 'take a breath' Mum was bed blocking the local hospital whilst waiting for a rehab facility, but wanting desperately to come home after nearly 4 weeks in

hospital. These wishes were granted when a plan was put in place for the carer to move In With her for 2 weeks. As I say we are only a few days in but already a lovely relationship has been built between the carer and my mum, and the contact with the organisers of this has been amazing. Caring for a loved one is a combination of sheer pride and exhaustion- with these few weeks we know that mum is going to be happy and safe in her own home- THANK YOU

Overall Experience

I couldn't ask for a higher standard of care to be given to mum over the last few years. Despite being in the late stages of Alzheimer's disease, unable to communicate, bedbound and blind, she is treated with such tenderness and dignity which has allowed me to step back and become a daughter once more.
The

carers are well trained and compassionate, nothing is too much trouble, they respect her home and make her as comfortable as possible.
Should any problems arise, they are taken seriously and dealt with immediately, which is reassuring. I would highly recommend Independent People Home-Care to anyone seeking live-in care for themselves or a loved one.

Overall Experience

We organised live in care for our Mum who has vascular dementia. Her main carer is our Dad who has cared for her for many years with very few breaks.
We had an excellent experience with the Care team and Coordinator/s who got to understand our Mum's needs and plan for Dad's respite break. They professionally

matched the most suitable carer and through much planning for the 'live in' care week everything went very smoothly. We can't thank the team and carer enough for enabling the care package we planned.

Excellent customer service and any issues that have arisen have been dealt with straight away and all care staff are excellent and have enriched my clients life and provide a high standard of care the carer has settled very well as I use a combination of privately employed and care agency and the care

agency spent time to ensure we had the right carer for my client and had experience with Cerebral Palsy and they support my client in all her activities and my client is very happy with all the staff that we have had from agency. Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for live in care.

The two carers who came on holiday with us were great. Knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. They did everything we needed. They had peg experience and hoist experience. Would use this company again.

Overall Experience

My good friend was cared for by live in carers from IP Homecare for the last 6 years of her life. The care they provided enabled her to remain in her own home, which she' loved with all its familiarity, despite advanced dementia. It took a few goes to find the right carers but the IPH staff were always

responsive to my feedback and live in carers with the right skills set and approach to fit my friends needs were found. The carers we eventually had in place over the last 5 years, were well trained and knowledgeable and provided excellent, professional, personalised care. I know they made my friend feel cared for and even loved by them. Record keeping was detailed and daily. The office staff remained in regular close contact with the carer and myself, checking in with me by phone to ask if I had any concerns. I can't thank IPH enough for making the last few years of my friends life as good as it could be and enabling me to keep her in her own home.

Overall Experience

The company have been very quick and efficient in finding the right carer for my mum.
The carer is excellent and my mum loves her. My mum was hardly eating when we brought her home from the care home but the carer persevered and also thought of the idea of putting the protein powder prescribed by the

doctor into her tea because she had refused it when it was just mixed with milk. Since then my mum has grown stronger and even got some of her appetite back.
The carer encourages my mum to do her exercises and also spends a lot of time chatting to my mum.

Overall Experience

I have received support from the Independant People since July 2024
My situation is very complex, but the staff have learnt how to manage my needs
They are kind and considerate at all times
They allow me to make choice and take risk
I have two support workers and they are both very different but

they adapt to what I'm doing on a day-to-day basis
I would recommend the Independant People for anyone to receive Support
When I contact the office to speak to the managers, they are all also amenable and support me

Overall Experience

We had a very good experience with the live-in carer who supported our mother on her discharge from hospital. Mum had been away from home for three months so coming back was a big adjustment and she was understandably anxious about how it would all go. However the Manager provided a reassuring presence

and helped Mum feel more secure. The Manager dealt calmly with the couple of emergency situations when paramedics had to be called. Mum describes her as 'very reliable and efficient, friendly and sensible' as well as a good cook! We were all sorry to see her go but are looking forward to having her help out again soon.
