My good friend was cared for by live in carers from IP Homecare for the last 6 years of her life. The care they provided enabled her to remain in her own home, which she' loved with all its familiarity, despite advanced dementia. It took a few goes to find the right carers but the IPH staff were always responsive to my feedback and live in carers with the right skills set and approach to fit my friends needs were found. The carers we eventually had in place over the last 5 years, were well trained and knowledgeable and provided excellent, professional, personalised care. I know they made my friend feel cared for and even loved by them. Record keeping was detailed and daily. The office staff remained in regular close contact with the carer and myself, checking in with me by phone to ask if I had any concerns. I can't thank IPH enough for making the last few years of my friends life as good as it could be and enabling me to keep her in her own home.
Thank you for such a heartfelt review on the care we provided. I can't tell you how much this will mean to the team. I will pass this on to them now. Many Thanks
Generally the standard of care has been very good, communication is always very good between me and the Care Company and making sure that I am comfortable and that I am aware should things have to be altered. I can do that. As a company Independent People understand the importance of finding the right carer For the right client which I appreciate.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with a review. We are really pleased you are pleased with the service we provide and will share your views with the team.
The carer is excellent and my mum loves her. My mum was hardly eating when we brought her home from the care home but the carer persevered and also thought of the idea of putting the protein powder prescribed by the doctor into her tea because she had refused it when it was just mixed with milk. Since then my mum has grown stronger and even got some of her appetite back.
The carer encourages my mum to do her exercises and also spends a lot of time chatting to my mum.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We're absolutely delighted to hear how well your mum is doing and that her carer has made such a positive difference. We're so pleased we were able to find the right match for your mum. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.
Seen a big improvement in mum after only 1 week. Hoping to be able to enjoy the outside in her wheelchair now weather has improved. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear that the carer has settled in well and that your mum is already showing such a positive improvement. It's lovely to know she may be able to enjoy some time outdoors now the weather is brighter, we hope she has many lovely days out ahead. If there's anything you need, we're always here to help. Thank you again for your feedback.
My situation is very complex, but the staff have learnt how to manage my needs
They are kind and considerate at all times
They allow me to make choice and take risk
I have two support workers and they are both very different but they adapt to what I'm doing on a day-to-day basis
I would recommend the Independant People for anyone to receive Support
When I contact the office to speak to the managers, they are all also amenable and support me

We had a very good experience with the live-in carer who supported our mother on her discharge from hospital. Mum had been away from home for three months so coming back was a big adjustment and she was understandably anxious about how it would all go. However the Manager provided a reassuring presence and helped Mum feel more secure. The Manager dealt calmly with the couple of emergency situations when paramedics had to be called. Mum describes her as 'very reliable and efficient, friendly and sensible' as well as a good cook! We were all sorry to see her go but are looking forward to having her help out again soon.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly pleased to hear that your mum had a positive experience with her live-in carer and that our Manager was able to provide the reassurance and calm support she needed during such an important transition. We're also delighted to hear that the carer was...
I also had the pleasure of meeting another lady who is, again, an asset to your company.

Golga has a wealth of experience in providing high-quality care for adults. Golga joined our team in 2023 as a live-in carer, which led her to be promoted to Field Care Supervisor in 2025. We are very lucky to have her as part of our valuable team.
I joined the IP team in 2020, bringing with me a background in social care that began in 1987. I started my career in health as a voluntary B-grade auxiliary nurse in an institution for people with learning disabilities. After just one week, I was offered a permanent position—something I saw as a real turning point, as I have always been passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
As institutions began to close, I became part of the resettlement team. This was a challenging time, as many individuals had lived their entire lives at Weston Hospital and faced significant uncertainty about moving into the community. Despite these challenges, the transition was largely successful and incredibly rewarding to be part of.
I progressed into roles as Acting Home Manager and then Registered Manager of a small residential home, where I remained for several years. I later became an Area Manager for Life Path Trust in Coventry, a role I held for 16 years.
In 2020, I decided it was time for a new challenge and accepted a position with Independent People. I truly value the opportunity to meet and support a wide range of individuals, helping them to live independently at home. There is nothing more rewarding than empowering people to remain in control of their lives, make their own choices, and continue living in the comfort of their own homes with the right support.
I worked as a Recruitment Resourcer, where I was responsible for sourcing and attracting new candidates for care roles. In this position, I spoke with new people every day, building strong communication skills and learning how to quickly understand individuals’ experiences, skills, and career goals. I enjoyed the fast-paced nature of the role and took pride in connecting the right candidates with suitable opportunities, ensuring a positive experience for both the applicant and the organisation.
I have a strong background in the care sector, having worked hands-on as a carer from 2007 to 2014. During this time, I gained valuable experience providing person-centred support, developing a deep understanding of clients’ needs, and delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
Since 2014, I have continued my career within the care industry by working in recruitment. In this role, I have been responsible for sourcing, vetting, and placing care professionals, ensuring that both clients and candidates are well matched. This experience has given me a broader perspective of the sector, as well as strong communication, organisational, and people skills.
I am passionate and caring, and I love my job very much. I have worked with IP for over 8 years and have felt such Joy in supporting our wonderful customers to live at home as independently as they can. I work well as a team and am always open to learning new skills to improve my knowledge and experience.
I have been part of Independent People Homecare since 2015 and take great pride in the work we do, as well as the dedicated support our wonderful carers provide to our valued customers. I have over 30 years of experience in the care sector, leading up to my current role as Registered Manager.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and going to the gym as a way to relax. I also love being outdoors—especially walking in the woods and enjoying the sense of space and fresh air.
Sean joined the team in 2014 and has a wealth of experience working within the care sector
