She takes the time to understand every family's unique circumstances, answers every question with compassion, and provides all the information needed to help people make an informed decision about the personalised live-in care we provide.

Lisa began her career working within the childcare and additional needs sector before spending 15 years working within the NHS, supporting families with care needs for both children and adults.

Her passion for helping others continued when she worked for a children’s cancer charity. raising valuable funds for children affected by cancer and provided practical support while helping to raise vital funds for children and their families during incredibly challenging times.

Lisa later brought her knowledge of health and social care into the home care sector as a Marketing Manager for a domiciliary care provider, giving her a unique understanding of what families need when searching for high-quality care at home.

In 2025, Lisa joined IP Homecare, where she found a team whose values matched her own: delivering compassionate, personalised live-in care that enables people to continue living safely, independently and happily in the home they love. Supporting families every step of the way

Verity joined the IP Homecare family in December 2025 and has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. With her warm, welcoming personality and genuine passion for helping others, she ensures every customer is thoughtfully matched with the right live-in carer.

Verity's passion for care is deeply personal. After experiencing a stroke at just two years old, she understands first-hand the importance of compassion, support and the positive difference that caring people can make. That experience has inspired her lifelong desire to give back by helping others live safely, happily and independently in their own homes.

With almost 40 years of experience in health and social care, Bonnie has devoted her career to helping people live with dignity, independence and choice.

Bonnie began her career supporting adults with learning disabilities within institutional care, where she progressed from an A Grade Nurse to a B Grade Nurse. As care evolved across the UK, Bonnie played an important role in supporting people to transition from institutional settings into community living, enabling them to enjoy greater independence and improved quality of life. She later became an Assistant Manager, helping to develop person-centred services that truly put individuals first.

Driven by her passion for providing outstanding care, Bonnie achieved her Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care, before becoming a Registered Manager of a residential home for adults. She then progressed to the role of Area Manager, overseeing a team of around 50 carers and supporting approximately 30 customers, ensuring high standards of care, compliance and compassionate leadership across multiple services.

Today, Bonnie brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as Field Care Supervisor at Independent People Homecare. She works closely with our customers, families and live-in carers, providing ongoing support, regular quality assurance visits and guidance to ensure every care package remains personalised and responsive to changing needs.

As a qualified Mental Health First Aider, Bonnie also understands the importance of emotional wellbeing alongside physical care. Her calm, reassuring approach and genuine compassion help families feel supported from the very beginning of their live-in care journey.

Bonnie believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to remain in the home they love, surrounded by familiar memories, routines and the people who matter most.

Georgia joined IP Homecare this year after building a successful career in healthcare recruitment. Since achieving her Diploma in Business in 2024, she has recruited NHS staff, Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomists, giving her invaluable experience in identifying talented care professionals who have both the skills and the values needed to provide outstanding care.

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending time with friends, taking long walks along the seafront and has a passion for beauty. As a qualified Beauty Therapist, she has always enjoyed helping people feel their very best, something that shines through in her caring and approachable nature.

Kerry is our dedicated Recruitment Manager and plays a vital role in ensuring we continue to provide exceptional live-in care to every customer.

Having built her career within the care sector, Kerry brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience to her role. She began as a Support Worker, supporting adults with additional needs, before progressing to become a Field Care Supervisor, where she gained extensive experience supporting both customers and care teams in the community. Her passion for delivering outstanding care and developing others naturally led her into recruitment, where she now ensures we attract and retain the very best live-in carers.

Kerry holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a Diploma in Human Resources, giving her the perfect combination of practical care expertise and professional recruitment knowledge. This enables her to recognise not only the skills and qualifications carers need, but also the compassion, empathy and values that make an exceptional live-in carer.

Leading our Recruitment Team, Kerry oversees every stage of the recruitment process, ensuring each applicant completes a robust selection process, including comprehensive interviews, enhanced DBS checks, right-to-work verification, reference checks and qualification validation. Her meticulous approach gives our customers and their families complete confidence that their loved ones are cared for by trusted, experienced professionals.

Alongside recruitment, Kerry also manages our Training Team, ensuring every member of our care team receives a comprehensive induction, mandatory training and ongoing professional development. She works closely with our trainers to ensure our carers continue to develop their skills, remain up to date with best practice, and deliver the highest standards of safe, person-centred care.

Kerry is passionate about investing in people and believes that outstanding care starts with outstanding recruitment and training. Her dedication to quality, continuous improvement and supporting our teams helps ensure every customer receives compassionate, personalised live-in care from carers who are not only highly skilled, but genuinely care about making a difference.

Jade's journey into care began after the birth of her youngest child, when she started working as a Community Carer. Through hard work, passion and a genuine commitment to helping others, she progressed to Senior Community Carer before moving into live-in care as a Field Care Supervisor, eventually becoming our Live-in Care Manager.

Jade is passionate about helping people remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, maintaining their independence while receiving personalised, compassionate live-in care. She takes great pride in building trusted relationships with customers and their families, ensuring every care package is tailored to each person's individual needs, preferences and goals.

Her caring nature, positive outlook and unwavering commitment to high-quality care make her an invaluable member of the IP Homecare team. She believes in leading by example, supporting her colleagues, continually developing her skills and always striving to deliver the highest standards of care.

Outside of work, Jade is just as inspiring. She enjoys running, keeping active and regularly raises money for charities and causes close to her heart. Her compassion extends far beyond her role, reflecting the kindness, dedication and generosity she brings to everything she does.

I began my journey in the care sector immediately after completing school in 1999. Since then, I have accumulated extensive experience across various areas of the care sector, including roles in day centres for individuals with learning and physical disabilities, in a hospital, as a community support worker, and in both care homes and domiciliary care settings.

Throughout the years, I have held several positions, including care coordinator and field care supervisor, which have allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set.

In 2003, I achieved my Diploma in Learning Disabilities Nursing, a significant milestone in my career. After a brief family break, I made the decision to return to the social care sector, driven by my commitment to making a positive impact in people’s lives. In 2015, I joined IP Homecare as a care assessor, where I began to climb the ladder to eventually become a registered manager. Though this progression wasn't my initial plan, it felt like the right decision at the time, and I continue to find great fulfilment in this role.

My passion for helping others is the cornerstone of my career. I firmly believe that to provide effective care, one must possess empathy and compassion. As part of my responsibilities, I strive to instil these core values in the carers working for IP homecare. Through open and meaningful conversations, I work to ensure that they understand the importance of these traits in their daily interactions with our customers. It is this dedication to promoting an empathetic and supportive environment that drives not only my l journey but also the quality of care we provide and the carers we employ.

Sean is the Finance Manager at Independent People Live-in Care, bringing more than 25 years’ experience across the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

Although Sean oversees the organisation’s financial management, his expertise extends far beyond finance. He has a substantial background in clinical leadership, healthcare strategy, service planning and the development of community-based health services.

During his NHS career, Sean held senior leadership roles with responsibility for Community Nursing Services for Older Adults and Specialist Care Services. He led the delivery and development of services supporting people with complex and long-term health conditions, including diabetes, heart failure, COPD, palliative and end-of-life care.

His work also involved leading multidisciplinary teams, planning services around population needs, improving clinical pathways and ensuring that care was safe, effective and centred around the individual. This gave Sean extensive experience in clinical governance, operational leadership, workforce planning, service improvement and the management of risk across complex healthcare services.

At Independent People Live-in Care, Sean brings this wider clinical and strategic perspective to the leadership team. He helps ensure that the organisation remains financially sustainable while continuing to invest in high-quality care, staff development, clinical oversight and robust governance.

Sean is particularly involved in supporting the organisation’s work with people who have acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, progressive neurological conditions and other complex or long-term healthcare needs. He understands the importance of coordinated care and the need to work closely with families, case managers, solicitors, professional deputies, commissioners and other healthcare professionals.

His experience enables him to look beyond the immediate delivery of care and consider the wider clinical, operational and strategic factors that contribute to a safe and successful care package.

Sean believes that exceptional live-in care is about much more than meeting day-to-day needs. It is about protecting independence, managing clinical risk, supporting families and giving professionals confidence that care is being delivered safely and to a consistently high standard.

He continues to play a central role in strengthening Independent People Live-in Care through clinical leadership, strategic planning, sound governance and sustainable growth. His work helps ensure the organisation can continue developing its nurse-led services and supporting more people to remain safely and independently in their own homes.

Outside his day-to-day responsibilities, Sean is passionate about improving standards in live-in care and building trusted, long-term relationships with families, healthcare professionals and commissioners.

Meet Paul Austin, Founder and CEO

Chartered Physiotherapist, NHS healthcare leader and live-in care specialist

Paul Austin is the Founder and CEO of Independent People Homecare, a CQC-regulated provider of personalised live-in care, dementia care and nurse-led complex care across the UK.

A Chartered Physiotherapist and Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), Paul brings more than 20 years of experience across healthcare and social care. His professional interests include dementia, neurological and complex health conditions, rehabilitation, mobility and improving health outcomes for older adults.

From physiotherapy to healthcare leadership

Inspired by the rehabilitation of a close friend following a serious road traffic accident, Paul completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and began his NHS career. He worked across respiratory medicine, intensive care, rehabilitation, general medicine and services for older adults, developing a detailed understanding of how illness affects mobility, confidence, independence and quality of life.

Paul later worked with the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement before progressing into senior leadership roles, including Clinical Services Manager and Head of Improvement in Essex. His improvement work included care pathways for older adults, community services and palliative care. He also completed an MSc in Healthcare Management through a joint programme involving the Universities of Manchester and Birmingham.

Dementia and personalised care

Paul has extensive experience of older people’s services and supporting families affected by dementia. He believes that good dementia care should protect dignity, preserve familiar routines and help someone remain connected to the people, possessions and activities that matter to them.

At Independent People Homecare, this means understanding each person’s history, preferences, abilities and changing needs. Care planning considers safety, communication, mobility, nutrition, hydration, meaningful activity and emotional reassurance, with close communication between families, carers and healthcare professionals.

Complex care and older adult health

Paul’s clinical background helps shape the company’s nurse-led complex care service, supporting people with neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, reduced mobility and other complex health needs.

His experience informs the company’s approach to assessment, care planning, risk management, safeguarding and multidisciplinary working. The aim is to create safe, sustainable care packages that support health, independence and quality of life at home.

Paul’s physiotherapy background means mobility and function remain central to this approach. Supporting strength, balance, safe movement and confidence can help older adults participate in everyday life and recover following illness or hospital treatment. Leading Independent People Homecare

After recognising opportunities to improve home care, Paul moved from NHS leadership into social care. He has previously worked as a registered manager and has spent more than 15 years leading home-care and live-in care services.

Today, Paul helps set Independent People Homecare’s clinical, quality and strategic direction. He works with the registered manager, nursing team and senior leadership team to strengthen governance and develop services.
