Overall Experience

Heydays started looking after my mum two weeks ago. Both my parents were very nervous about it, but the experience has been absolutely wonderful, and the level of care couldn't be any better. All the carers are absolutely lovely. They are so kind and patient. Mum has quite complex mobility issues, and it was difficult to hand her over to someone else. Having met all the carers, I don't know why we hesitated. The communication between the office and between carers is excellent. They worked really well with O.T. and responded brilliantly to O.T.'s plan and to mum's needs. We couldn't be happier with her days.

Overall Experience
We find the carers from Heydays first class, they treat my husband and myself with care and empathy and are totally professional at all times.

Heydays have made a huge amount of difference to our lives. The care my husband receives from them is first class, and I cannot thank them enough.

Overall Experience
I have been a client with Heydays for over 8 years. I have always been happy with my care. Staff are pleasant, friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble if asked to do any little extra.

I would never go to any other company. It's like having an extended family.

Overall Experience

Heydays is a great team. They have lovely carers who are committed and dedicated to supporting me and my family. Some of the carers go above and beyond and this is a real credit to heydays. The staff are very knowledgeable and very hard working. They make sure that I have everything I need/want before they leave my house. They made me feel very comfortable during a time when I was really anxious about having home care. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Keep up the great work! Thank you

Overall Experience

We highly recommend Heydays. Any contact over the phone was dealt with kindness, professional and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. The care staff are kind, and caring and go above and beyond. Mum was treated with dignity and good humour. They enabled mum to live in her own home until she needed full-time care.

Overall Experience
The team are all friendly and approachable. My husband enjoys chatting to them and having a laugh when they carry out his morning care. Having social visits does help to give him time away from home.
Having always been a very prude person, they go the extra mile to protect his dignity.

I appreciate that there will always be staff with whom he may not get on with.

The carers looking after my late mum were such kind individuals, always looking out for mum's welfare and happiness and wanting to make sure she was in a good place before they left after each visit. Some would go the extra mile and just buy a product or item that mum needed, sometimes they stayed extra time because mum may be anxious or had misplaced an item, making them a bit late for their next appointment, but they cared and didn't want to leave her alone until mum was settled. The whole team in Grange are very professional and work closely together to provide the best service. They really do care deeply about their clients and want to help them so much.

On his first visit, your carer was in the bathroom and watched how I got into it and then advised me of a much better and safer way. He repeated this on leaving the bath. This regular presence allows me to continue to enjoy a bath without perhaps slipping and hurting myself. A bath I much look forward to! He also washes my hair! Much better than doing it over the sink!

My experience with Heydays has always been good, the staff are caring, helpful, and at all times treat my husband with dignity and respect, they keep an eye on me as well, if I am a bit down there is always a hug if I need one, they are a great team and very special part of our lives.

Heydays is a fantastic care company. My Mother receives top class care every morning and her carers go above and beyond the call of duty. Excellent experience: been helped to travel to and fro to lunch club and also to and fro for nailed to be varnished. Help given to use my computer and also to help my husband to get our TV's on and working. Carers go out of their way to sort out any problems I might have. Anu extra shopping needed they will try to get us. All carers are welcome and kind and supportive.

Kelly Shaw

Kelly is the Co-Founder and Manager of Heydays Care & Support Services.

Kelly oversees the Grange and South Lakes areas of the business and has over twenty years experience working within the care sector. Kelly holds a BA Honours Degree in Care Community & Citizenship, an N.V.Q Level 4 in Management, an N.V.Q in Business Administration and numerous accredited care training qualifications.

Prior to founding Heydays, Kelly spent 12 years working in the care profession within the community and in hospitals. Kelly runs a popular, annual calendar of Heydays Day Centre's for clients and still enjoys making regular care visits to clients.

Dawn Derby

Dawn is the Co-Founder and Registered Manager of Heydays Care & Support Services.

Dawn oversees the Barrow and Furness areas of the business and has over twenty years experience within the care sector. Dawn holds a N.V.Q Level 4 in Management and an N.V.Q in Business Administration in addition to full and accredited training in many care modules including Moving & Handling, First Aid, Dementia Awareness, Safe-Guarding Vulnerable Adults, Health & Safety, Safe handling of Medication and Positive Care Practices.

Dawn oversees much of the business governance on a day to day basis, whilst still remaining hands-on with the care side.
