Bluebird has been visiting dad for a few years now usually the same staff attend which helps them to get to know dad and vice versa. His usual carers go over and above and call me if she has any concerns, recently she felt dad was unwell which indeed he was and as a result called 999 and he was admitted
to hospital. The continuity of the carers I am sure helped hugely in her recognising he was so poorly. Well done team keep it up.

What distinguishes one caring company from another is the quality of the front line staff - the carers. A good carer is loyal to both the client and the company. This is not easy to achieve but when it is the carer can become part of the client's family. I have been with Bluebird Swindon for some years
now and have had three regular carers during that period all of whom achieved this status. My carers are excellent. I am very particular but they know my expectations, how I think and anticipate my needs well. I trust them implicitly. This is can only be demonstrated by a company with extremely high standards which it supports by first-class training programs developed over many years. Additionally, the front line staff can only perform well when they are supported by the office staff and management. I have to say my carers have never complained about their support. To summarise - a very good professional company at every level. I have no intention of moving.

We chose Bluebird Care from a list. Introducing a care package is a dramatic change in anyone’s life, it was daunting for my husband who has a degenerative condition. Initially, we had several carers each week, this was not ideal however, this has now been reduced to a regular team of 3 excellent carers.
In the past year all three have surpassed what is expected on the care plan. Even decorating a Christmas tree!
My husband’s carers are compassionate and intuitive and manage to get the best out of a visit even when he is unwell. They have forged a friendship with us but remain professional. When a family member has required an ambulance it is to the credit they remained calm, helpful, and proactive, waiting until the ambulance had left and asked if we needed further help.
Unfortunately, we have found one member of the office team to be brusque not always helpful, our review reflects this. On balance, this would not stop us from recommending Bluebird Care Swindon.

I picked Bluebird Care at random. I knew nothing about care companies and had no friends with any knowledge to ask, but I have been very pleased with the carers that have visited. They are very good and nearly always on time. I have never been let down.

During lockdown we have chosen to use just one particular carer. She is professional, efficient, but more importantly, very caring.
I can discuss the care of my husband with her, and this makes sure that if she feels the need to input concerns, she can and will.
This does not apply to all caring staff!

We are the deputies for a cousin who has learning difficulties, is partially sighted, and lacks capacity. We cannot praise Bluebird Care Swindon enough for the outstanding care given, especially during the lockdown when we were unable to visit. The care, kindness, and vital keeping in touch with us
have been second to none. They have been providing care for the last 18 months and have totally shown how a care company should be.

I have always found Bluebird a friendly and reliable service. Always happy to accommodate any changes to visit on odd occasions. The carers are very friendly and efficient; my husband enjoys their company. He looks forward to playing dominos and quizzes on his twice a week visits. I would certainly
recommend Bluebird care to those who are in need of their service.

I like that fact I get a rota giving me times and who is coming. I get the same people, so can build up relationships with them and they know about me. Can mostly get meals cooked from scratch, although some of the younger ones can't cook and I have to rely on ready meals that day. Office staff usually
sort out any problems, although sometimes not warned if carers are running late or change of carer. All carers have a good standard of English and are willing to help. Carers often not given enough travelling time between calls.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.625 for Bluebird Care Swindon is calculated as follows: ( (15 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.625
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Bluebird Care Swindon is based on 4 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 4.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
