All the enablers have been fantastic. Positive, kind, caring, diligent & great at their jobs. Mum's dignity has been preserved (as far as is possible) & I know she feels very comfortable with them. They bring a bit of brightness & energy into the house. They never rush my mum and allow her time to think.
They have been very good at fitting her back brace & ensuring she is safe and secure. I wish Bluebird operated in our area for when D2A finishes - they've been brilliant. Thanks to everyone

All staff I've met have been fantastic in supporting Mum and encouraging her to continue aking staps towards greater levels of indpendence. They have treated her with dignity, respect and patience despite her at times challenging behaviour

Your staff are caring & very efficient. They have given advice & help when asked for. They are very professional I have nothing but praise for how they have treated me from coming home until today. I requested morning & lunch calls but realised lunch would not see me through to early next day so staff
kindly attend to bed call with no issues.

The care given has been a great help to enable me to readjust to being back at home after 6 weeks in hospital. It has been a great help to my wife to relieve her of some of the responsibility and some caring as she is very exhausted herself, not getting proper sleep at night, and being elderly. The
carers have been very thoughtful and cheerful helping to boost my mood when I'm feeling low.

My nan has received D2A three times from Bluebird Care following a hospital stay. We thought that the enablers from bluebird had a very cheerful approach & instantly made us as a family and my nan feel reassured when returning home.


The enablers were always very helpful when supporting my nan with

things that she was struggling with & offering her guidance that could help ease her struggles.


Bluebird also offered my nan & us as a family tips that could help her, they was always so informative when they visited and the first day home was so organised that this massively helped my nan with transitioning back into her home.


If my nan was to require support in the future bluebird would be a company that we would enquire with to have them visit her again. I further thank all off bluebird for the help they gave my nan when she was under their service :)

Absolutely bad experience. Had a partner whom I looked after 24/7. Bluebird Care took control completely, albeit they only visited her two hours per day, then sent police to the house 4 times on the assumption of domestic abuse, then railroad her out of her comfortable home and into a care home in Taunton
where she is in tears and anxiety due to the interference of her personal life. She is now isolated from friends and family. She is now due to go to a nursing home whereby Bluebird Care will have no input, thank god.

Both my late aunt and I (her nephew) were very pleased with the service delivered by Bluebird Care. The carers were always kind and patient and tried very hard to encourage my aunt to eat and generally make the most of her situation. The carers were also backed up by helpful and knowledgeable staff
on the phone at the office.
I highly recommend this service for both respite and long-term care.

Ben Sellick

My name is Ben Sellick and I am the Registered Manager for Bluebird Care in Taunton and Mid Devon.


At the age of 19 with the encouragement of my late Mum, I joined a local care home as a Care Assistant. I have worked in a variety of roles within care over the last 18 years.


In 2014 I joined Bluebird Care - Taunton & Mid Devon, and it gave me a new lease of life in my care career.
I have spent over half my time with Bluebird Care as a Manager and have had the privilege to support and upskill my team to share the same passions and values.


In my spare time, I am a children’s entertainer and joined the West Somerset Magic Society.


I have found real meaning in being able to link my skills and experiences across all age groups.


I take great pride in representing Bluebird Care- Taunton & Mid Devon. It has been a huge pleasure for the last 10 years and hope it is many more to come.

I joined the Bluebird Care Team in October 2021 when I moved to Somerset from Bournemouth.


My role is all about support. Support for the Care team out in the field and most importantly to our customers. I have worked on and off in the care sector since I was 18 years old, I had a long break when I had my children as I believed that I couldn't be a good carer and a good mother, as there's just not that much care in me to give.

I have always worked in the community, supporting people from all walks of life to be as independent as possible and to live fulfilling lives within their own homes. Before working for Bluebird Care, I was new to care, although having worked with clinical exercise populations in previous workplaces I had experience with Reablement. I started with Bluebird Care as a replacement assistant and found I had a passion for the work I was carrying out.


Supporting patients who had been discharged from the hospital, and seeing their progress as a direct result of the team's input made me feel part of a vital service improving people’s quality of life. From my role as a Reablement Assistant, I progressed to a team leader role, from the Discharge to an assessment manager role then to the Business Development Manager role. Although my role has changed, at the core of all the work I do remains a passion for making a difference in people’s quality of life which is what motivates me day-to-day
