Lilian often carries out assessments for new clients, schedules care calls, and deals with the day-to-day issues constantly coming into the business.

Mark founded Independent Living in 2011 after being made redundant from the Civil Service.
He carries out a range of care tasks, most notably he provides customers with transport to appointments at local hospitals, clinics, opticians, dentists etc. Mark also has clients whom he provides respite companionship for whilst their partner takes time out, and he also helps with personal care for those who prefer a male carer.
The financial and marketing side of the business is also run by Mark.
As Independent Living has grown the company has inevitably had ever more financial transactions. Petra records all the incoming and outgoing payments ensuring that Mark is aware of each customer's accounts. Petra makes financial claims to the Lancashire Council for our publicly funded customers and makes sure the business is able to provide its accurate annual returns to Companies House.
