Overall Experience

A longtime family friend passed away in 2011 and his widow remained living in the family house. However, it soon became apparent that she couldn't cope even with daycare and she did not want to have live-in carers. I had no option than to move her into a nursing home.

While the care at the nursing home was very professional she soon became very lonely as she had been used to having someone with her throughout the whole of the day. Then I heard of No Place Like Home and hired them to attend my friend every day seven days a week. It was a Godsend and made the difference between sitting in her room feeling lonely each day to having a constant friend with her. It was life changing and enabled my friend to live happily into her nineties for another six years after her husband passed away and even though her health was failing she enjoyed her life till the end. This wouldn't have happened without the lovely and caring staff of No Place Like Home and I couldn't recommend them enough.
