I continue to be deeply impressed by, and grateful for, York Personal Support. The service my son has received has been intelligent, perceptive, respectful and kind. Our family circumstances are extremely difficult and have been for some time. The support person allocated to my son has shown sensitivity, compassion and understanding. The service was a Godsend during the pandemic and continues to exceed my expectations.

Following a vehicle accident in September 2017, I suffered severe PTSD, high anxiety and depression. York Personal Support helped me to build and maintain my confidence and stability following my discharge from mainstream mental health service. I would highly recommend their services.

My experience of using this service has been of a high standard in all aspects. Firstly, the initial assessment through to using this service and building the natural rapport, which meant any anxiety was dispersed. This was down to the strong working relationship York Personal Support delivers.

Having been with other care companies, I can say without hesitation that York Personal Support is one of the best in York. They don't do runs, each call is a minimum of an hour, and every client has their own team of personal assistants.

The staff are so warm, caring and very responsive to the needs of my dad, going over and above and working hard to support him to live independently as his health gradually worsens. Everyone at the agency is supportive, calm and understanding, even in a crisis.

After more than 3-years, York Personal Support continue to provide a wonderful service. They are incredibly helpful when needs fluctuate and are fantastic communicators. As our care requirements increased, they continued to support us with some of the most caring and supportive personal assistants you could wish to meet. It clearly takes significant commitment and dedication from all concerned to provide such a high quality, reliable service. We really appreciate all their help and support.

We are now into our third year of support with our really super support worker who really gets how to provide the cleaning service required without disturbing the way in which my autistic daughter copes with living on her own in university accommodation (lots of well-organised chaos that needs cleaning around) and is a trusted and essential component of how she has transitioned to successfully living on her own. As a business, York Personal Support are really responsive to changing requests and were very pragmatic during Covid in making sure essential cover was in place when our support worker was unwell. Really cannot recommend them highly enough.

I've used York Personal Support for the last 3-years and have had a fantastic experience. It was very difficult finding myself in a position of needing care and support. When the York Personal Support manager first came to my home to meet me, I was really struggling and not coping well with physical and mental health issues on top of my Neurodivergence. The manager was great, very calm, caring and very reassuring. My personal assistant is fantastic; the manager matched us really well, and we have a great relationship. Most importantly, I trust her and the service. They respond quickly to all communication and any changes to my needs. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We have only been with York Personal Support for about ten weeks. Everything has been first class in all departments.

York Personal Support has always taken the time to fully understand my daughter's needs and have gone the extra mile to ensure that she receives support from someone with who she will connect with. This has been so important in helping with her recovery from ill health and in rebuilding her confidence. The support worker that works with my daughter was handpicked by the manager and is fantastic and the communication and support I have received from the manager have been priceless.

The service is excellent, the staff are lovely and they do an excellent job. Without this service I would not be able to live on my own. They support me to live every day as it comes.

I always look forward to seeing my lovely support worker each week. We share the same interest, animals, nature, gardens and going for nice walks in my wheelchair. Their kindness and care mean more than words can say. Thank you all so much for the excellent support, it is much appreciated.

York Personal Support offer a superb, high quality service, run by committed and caring professionals. They respond promptly to any queries and always treat the client with respect and dignity. They keep us informed, they always find a suitable carer and the carers are always punctual, helpful, caring and also committed to their work and clients.

I am very pleased with the care provided by York Personal Support. In fact, I would not be able to live in my own home if it was not for the support of the carer, provided by them.

I am grateful for the support I receive from York Personal Support. They have offered me a truly tailored support plan for my disability needs, unique to other providers I have used. I have complex social issues due to my Autism, but YPS have given me a life and freedom I have never known before. The personal assistants that assist me with my day to day tasks are exceptional, caring, and sensitive at what they do. Also, the pairing from YPS to assistants to myself is what I would recommend more than anything else. I, with the support, can function better in my society. I feel safe knowing that my welfare is the priority of all who I have contact with from YPS.
