Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees are one hundred percent professional and very caring with my husband. Carers are excellent, very supportive and are willing to go out of their way in order to support me, such as picking up last minute prescriptions, especially over the weekend. Bluebird Care Wakefield
and Kirklees always go with my husband's wishes, I am grateful for their care as I cannot do it myself.

Thank you, everyone. We are so grateful for all the care and compassion shown to Mum by everyone. It was such a relief for us when Bluebird rallied around to provide a live-in care team when Mum needed more help and support. Even though Mum had her favourites, who she gave nicknames to, all the staff
were great at their jobs and always kept spirits high. We could relax, knowing Mum was in good hands, even when we had the short visits before she needed more, she would tell us on the phone about the laughs she had had with the carer. Thank you always.

The carers who look after my husband are professional, they treat him with respect and have the patience and sensitivity needed to help him. They are pleasant and cheerful. I looked after my husband's personal care for many years but am happy to leave him in their hands.

Bluebird Care (Wakefield) are looking after my Mother who has advanced Alzheimer's. Care is primarily to enable her to stay at home as long as possible and take charge of issuing medications and assisting her with meals as well as other home help requirements.

After a period of getting to know my

Mother and the problems of an independent woman with Alzheimer's they have and are able to help more. We are very satisfied with the services provided thus far.

Very helpful and caring team from the carers through to management. Dads care needs, both physically and emotionally, are priority and Bluebird are very engaging in working together with everyone, with dad's thoughts and wishes firstly to ensure that his needs are met. Communication is great and dad's
care and attention is the first priority.

My husband has apraxia, a degenerating disease, and is unable to do anything for himself. This last month Bluebird have provided more care as I find it difficult (aged 77) to heave and lift him for bed rest, toileting etc. Bluebird staff are very helpful and are trained to use all the equipment we have
in our home. I now have help morning and night, with extra 1pm and 4 pm calls for lifting, changing etc. This has made life much easier for both of us, it means we can get my husband outside for 1/2 hour if the weather is good. The office try to accommodate our needs and generally succeed in providing genuine caring carers.

Review from Kathryn T (Stepdaughter of Client) published on 11 January 2016 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Stepfather has been supported by Bluebird Care Wakefield for nearly two years, during which time his care needs have increased significantly. Their support has been excellent. Bluebird Care Wakefield have responded to his changing needs with speed and flexibility. For example putting in place
a significant increase in his Care Plan within 48 hours so that he could be discharged from hospital without delay. On a day to day basis, the staff are totally reliable and well trained. They are patient and kind towards my Stepfather (so much so, he refers to the staff as his "Bluebird Girls") and they implement the Care Plan without exception. I have frequent contact with Bluebird Care Wakefield who alert me to any issues and help me address them. Perhaps, most impressive, is the professionalism and dedication of the staff who frequently do tasks and undertake acts of kindness that are over and above the Care Plan - for example cooking special meals; taking his phone calls in the early hours when he is anxious.
Throughout, his carers are respectful, maintain his dignity but have a sense of fun that helps my Stepfather get through his day and improves the quality of his life.
Reply from Narinder Gill, Director at Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees

Thank you Kathryn for your positive comments and I know that all the team enjoy caring and supporting your stepfather.
I will ensure that I pass your comments onto the team. They strive hard to ensure that they provide a quality service which is grounded in genuine care and respect for your stepfather.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.500 for Bluebird Care Wakefield and Kirklees is calculated as follows: ( (31 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 46 Ratings = 4.5
