Quick to respond to care request. Care was put in place within one week. Excellent office management and exemplary carers. Easy access to an open plan to share with family. Any worries quickly dealt with in a person-centred way. Very happy indeed.

I have to mention that so far the service we have received from Celtic Care Services has been excellent both from management and staff.
The carers are kind and knowledgeable and go out of their way to communicate in a positive way.

I'm disappointed to leave this review, but the Celtic Management left me no choice. While the carers are absolutely brilliant, the Celtic Care management team has serious flaws that degrade the whole experience. They play on a strategy of “ignore..delay..confuse” to maximise revenue whilst minimising
work. They ignore emails, don’t return phone calls, and give totally different messages to the various stakeholders. They are unable or unwilling to address issues with the client and consequently, small issues become big ones. Since raising a couple of concerns, it feels as though we are now being 'punished' with missed calls and changes to the schedule to insert excessive waits between calls. On one occasion a Celtic manager attended a care visit, but ended up traumatizing the client by telling him he was to be taken away so she could get into his bed (yes…very weird). Again, the carers are excellent, they just deserve so much better from their senior management.
Reply from Kevin Lessells, Managing Director at Celtic Care Services Ltd (Swindon)Our contract for the provision of your father's care was with the local authority. This stated 4 visits a day to be provided by two care workers. At no point, during the time we provided your father's care did the local authority reduce your fathers care to single care worker visits. It is our professional opinion that your father required two care workers to assist in safe transfers. This was backed up by the occupational therapist's assessment of 27/10/2020. You stated in your email of 21/10/2020 that you would not pay for the second care worker as of 18/09/2020. A situation we were comfortable with as regardless of the cost to Celtic Care Services Ltd, two care workers assured their safety as well as that of your father, not to mention our CQC registration. Due to your continued demands to reduce your fathers care we actually provided notice on this package on 16/09/2020. We are only contractually obliged to provide 2 weeks’ notice. In order that your father did not go without care, we provided an additional 5 weeks totalling 7 weeks’ notice. At no point did your father have any missed visits. I can only assume you are referring to the tea time visit on 24/10/2020 which was 1 hour late due to a broken-down car. The care worker arrived and was turned away at the door. Your one complaint was responded to within 48 hours. Our electronic scheduling and monitoring system provides evidence that your father received consistent visit times. We have requested a meeting with the local authority and yourself and look forward to the opportunity to examine and discuss these false and defamatory claims.

Concerned that too many clients have been taken on and therefore my mother not receiving full half-hour visits as per contract, nor is the details put in to care plan being attended too. Feel fraud as well as neglect happening. Too busy to spend time with the individual as rushing to the next person.
Very poor.
