I cannot thank the team at Haven Home Care enough for the support they provide to my mother with dementia who lives with my family. The staff are consistently patient and attentive, treating her with dignity and respect at every visit. Their understanding makes a world of difference, to my mother and us as a family.
All the carers who came to look after my mother were extremely good and sympathetic to her needs. I am very pleased with all they did. I cannot emphasise more how well they act, care for in everything they did. My mother isn't very comfortable with strangers in the house but they all quickly put her at ease. I would recommend anyone to trust them

I have received care for quite a while, and the carers I have are very good and friendly. They will do anything for me. If I need something from the shop, they will go and bring the receipt straight back to me and count the change out, they do the washing for me, and check that everything is well aligned. If the weather is cold, they will put things on the radiator so it is warm and cosy when I put it on. They care when washing me, making sure the water is just right. They're very gentle when changing clothes and pads. They talk to me and always check everything is right before they leave. I couldn't praise them enough.

This is the second review I have completed since contacting Haven Home and am so pleased that we arranged for them to care for my mother-in-law. My husband and I have confidence in the carers and management, all have shown care and consideration not only for my mother-in-law but for us too.

The girls have a lovely manner when dealing with my husband when he is having a difficult day.
The sitters are excellent and provide good stimulation and enjoy watching his favourite films.
I understand that visiting times are difficult to organise and sometimes other issues dictate the lateness. I have appreciated a telephone call when they are running late

I've found Haven to be really helpful. In particular, the manager at Haven is very caring and incredibly responsive. He agreed to meet with us in the hospital initially, explained things clearly and then kept in regular contact with me when we faced certain challenges. He remained calm and reassuring throughout. He had a lovely manner with my Dad and the rest of the family, which has been much appreciated at a stressful time. I hope Haven help other families needing care at home.

The management has always been there for my loved one and me and they have gone above and beyond. They're like an extended part of our family and the manager and owner of Haven is always there if needed.

Most of the care workers who come to attend me are very, very good. They help me a lot and encourage me to do things for myself whilst they watch me and help me if necessary. Regarding the management/managers, I am not very impressed what the way they run things. I can very rarely get hold of the responsible individual. I believe that the girls could be treated and paid better than they are. The girls are always helpful and friendly.

I cannot find the words to describe how grateful and thankful we were to all the staff at Haven Home Care, your dedication and care of Mum were second to none. You cared for Mum with such genuine compassion, kindness and dignity. Without your special care, it would have not been possible for her to continue being at home with family who loved her so much. I know Mum could be stubborn at times which made it difficult for the girls to care for her but they showed nothing but kindness to her. She would laugh and smile with them. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. There were issues at times and positioning, we appreciate there was a 20-minute slot before and after the dedicated time but at times could be over one hour late.
Haven supply a sitter for my wife, who suffers from dementia, on a Saturday afternoon. This great service allows me a much-needed break. The sitter that Haven supply is very friendly and my wife feels very comfortable and safe in her company. I cannot thank haven and the sitter enough. Their service is of the highest standard.

Care provided is of very good quality. The only complaint I have is the inconsistency of timing ie: there can be a difference of 2 hours in times, especially in the evening when the variable can be from 6:30 pm to as late as 8:30 pm, our ideal timing would be 7/7:30 pm. My wife can get very irritable at this time and starts to undress herself or attempts to. At this time I am usually in the kitchen attending to chores, so it can be frustrating.

Very friendly staff that are always chatty. Care staff support me to continue living at my own home. Without their support, this would be impossible. Calls are timed and this can sometimes be tricky as carers cook/warm meals-support with toileting and medication which can feel rushed in 20 minutes and doesn't allow for anything to be freshly prepared. So food can be boring and repetitive as only ready meals, sandwiches or soup is suitable within the time allowed.

My experience with Haven Home Care has been good although there has been a large turnover of staff lately and changes in call timings, some of which were not notified but obviously the service is under pressure at the moment.

We also had a few run-ins with the staff due to the unprofessional support they gave my father, even having one saying how high do you want the pillow, over your face? I reported this to the senior/management but it got swept under the rug, still the same carers coming to the home. A part of the package was to clean after routines. This didn't happen, most often or not, nothing was cleaned after them leaving dirty items on the bathroom sink.
If you want honest, proper carers I would avoid Haven Care.
Only one word I can use for you all is excellent, that's why I have stayed for 26 months after leaving the Council who would not take me back. I'm glad I'm with you as you are more caring than other companies and the boss will come out to work with the girls, not just stay in the office.
Thank you to each one of you. Sadly mum passed away in March 2021 at the age of 93 and finally we would definitely recommend Haven Care team and wish you all the very best in the future.
Highly recommend this company, they are caring for my 92-year-old mother, very professional and caring. The staff makes my mother at ease nothing is too much trouble, she looks forward to seeing the staff, thank you all so much.
I am very satisfied with their care and I would recommend them to anybody.
