I simply cannot praise the service I received highly enough. I was just home recovering from a hip replacement and it soon became clear that I needed help getting up, washed and dressed in the mornings. Within 3 days of contacting Bluebird I had been visited by a supervisor who listened carefully to my needs and staff were in place. Although I saw lots of different faces, the carers we all lovely and professional. My recovery (which is ongoing) was very much hastened by having these visits for 12 days. Thank you.

Generally very satisfactory. Carers always came on time, carried out prescribed tasks well - some exceptionally so. Further to this, some carers were excellent at taking initiatives in my absence. A minority contacted me for guidance. However, generally speaking, I was entirely content to leave my wife and my house to the care of the Bluebird staff.

I would recommend Bluebird to potential users. More than that I cannot say.

The care over the past year has been very helpful. I have some nice carers who make a hot meal for me and a plated tea for the evening. I still like to manage some things, but the carers notice if I need a little more assistance, such as putting washing into dryer. It is good to know they are coming as if I don't feel too good they make sure the agency knows and also my daughter.

We honestly cannot thank Bluebird enough for the support they provide. They support Grandma in her own home with morning, lunchtime and bedtime visits, and the difference they make to both her and our family is amazing.

The carers are not only professional and reliable, but genuinely kind and compassionate. They take the time to chat, to listen, and to treat Grandma with dignity and respect. It's clear they don't see this as "just a job" - they really care!

Communication has always been excellent, and any questions or changes are handled quickly and thoughtfully.

The carers are pleasant and supportive. Some are not very good at dusting and one or two are apt to sit using their phones. I was not very happy when I was charged £400.00 extra for stopping the help when someone crashed into my bungalow rendering it unhabitable. Fortunately I noticed and it was removed from my bill.

Bluebird Staff have always been professional and supportive. We had the same carer live with my elderly father for 4 years she was just fabulous, looking after his every need. The company was always able to find a suitable substitute when Dad's main carer had a week's leave every six weeks. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird Care to others.

Reply from Heather Price, Director at Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick

We have been very happy with our aunty's care over the last year or so. The live in carer is an absolute God send and is like family. She is an absolute professional and expert carer. She and the relief carers treat our aunty with dignity and respect and try to enable her to still complete personal care and household tasks. They are cheerful, friendly and kind.

If we ever need advice or any adjustments to our aunty's care package, staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Bluebird Care Staff have always been professional, friendly, and approachable. They carried out required tasks, with attention to detail, and any additional request was met wherever possible. Although sometimes (but not very often), the time requested may be changed slightly or a different carer may arrive, that is acceptable as is the nature of providing such a service, and in most cases we would be informed of such. When caring for my wife, and more recently for myself, we have been pleased with the care provided, and would have no hesitation on recommending Bluebird care to others.

Really good support from the carers who were efficient, friendly and good company whilst they worked. Our requirement was only for support in the home, e.g. cleaning, not personal care. So the rate charged was comparatively high for what we needed but the jobs were done well. With hindsight, we should have been clearer about the time required as it was overestimated.

Reply from Heather Price, Director at Bluebird Care Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick

Thank you for your review, much appreciated. We are not the cheapest company around but pay our staff well and look after them, this is why we have carers who have been with us over ten years. So glad we could help with your recuperation, all the very best in the future. Kind regards, Heather.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the standard of care service provided by all her carers and found that having the weekly rota via email is more reliable than a rota sent by post. Sometimes we received the mailed rota letter only arrived after the carer arrived. I think it might be a good idea to make this information being made more widely known (this is not a complaint, by the way, only a suggestion).

My father has been cared for since April this year, he has had two carers so far and they have both been excellent. One of the carers has a car and has taken him out for coffee, lunch and dinner which he has really enjoyed. She is so kind and helpful and my father really likes her. The other lady didn't have a car but was so kind and thoughtful.

Bluebird ladies are kind, thoughtful, efficient and friendly when they visit. For their sake and their client visits the carers would benefit from more efficient management of their time when rotas have to be changed at short notice especially geography of visits.
