Amazing customer service and support! Managers and so friendly and helpful. Could not recommend a better home care service in the whole of the UK! They've done an absolutely tremendous job looking after my mother she could not be happier!

I organised carers from Nurse Next Door to care for the needs of my father when he came out of hospital. They were very quick to put a care plan in place and the carers were helpful and friendly. The app is very useful. Being able to see that a visit has taken place and comments from the carer on the app, is very reassuring that my father has been well cared for. Overall we are very happy with their service and continue to use them.

Mum lives 40 miles around the M25 from me. She is almost 92, although still extremely independent with bowls to go to and friends in her road, had suffered a few difficulties, some panicky moments feeling alone and so far away from us. When an approaching holiday left me feeling the need of backup, I found Nurse Next Door to help us out. A lovely girl visited who talked us through the service, offering social visits to full-blown regular care. Social visits with the option of being accompanied on a walk, to the town, shops, her bowls etc. seemed just what we needed. Plus I felt while I was away, if she needed it, Mum had people to call who could arrange a visit within the next day or so to help her out. This gave her more confidence. In actual fact the planned visits a couple of times a week were enough. She was very taken with the kindness and ease of being with the ladies who visited. I could check the app, and we found it a godsend. Thank you to everyone involved.

Beware! Last year in November things went horribly wrong.
My dad was locked in his house by carers, it clearly stated on his care plan, by me that he shouldn't be locked in. The carer in question denied this accusation. Then over a period of 3 weeks, my dad had 16 different carers to see him. The care plan stated that he needed consistency (which he didn't have at the weekend). But on weekdays he did. Luckily, I was consistently checking the app to see who was visiting and for how long and regularly going in.
On one visit the carer for the weekend only visited for 13 minutes, instead of 30 minutes I paid for. Then on another visit, they had charged me twice, when only one carer had turned up. I sent emails and phoned the Manager. She responded to my email, not once did she ever return my call.
My dad ended up in hospital. I sent them an email explaining what had happened they never responded back at all.

Saying the above there are some really good carers, and not so good.

We are incredibly disappointed to receive your review which, unfortunately, is not a fair reflection of the service your father received.

After a whole year, in Nov 23 you stated you were very happy with us and have records of over 24 calls and many emails between yourself/your sister and a...

Very pleased with the visits once a week for the general care and cleaning of used areas. Quality of companionship is also much valued, as much as the rooms being kept clean and tidy.

Extremely pleased with the care provided by the carer. She is very proactive, caring and efficient, an absolute credit to your company. Overall, very satisfied with the care, just need to remind carers not to ask Mum does she want to do something or eat something but advise her she's going to the bathroom or having x to eat. Also, medication should be ordered in advance not as it runs out.

All staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Having just broken my wrist, I needed help immediately. Care More was able to start the next day. All the carers more than fulfilled their brief by not only attending to my personal hygiene but also ensuring that my environment was safe and clean.
They raised my spirits with their cheerful conversation and always arriving on time with a positive attitude. They went the extra mile, exceeding common sense and cheerfully did whatever I asked.

I shall miss them.

Overall, a very good service that largely addresses my brother's needs. Since the last review, I've seen a marked improvement in my brother's care and support. The only reason that I didn't give "excellent" to all ratings is that some improvement in weekend support is needed. Otherwise, good carers during the week and very professional management and office support - caring and effective. Many thanks.

Reply from Prash Patel, Director at Nurse Next Door

Thanks for the great feedback, we are always looking to improve the service we provide to all our customers and will look into your brother's care to see how we can improve this.

In the last couple of years the carers have been brilliant, the whole four years have but the last two years everyone's been fantastic. Nan has been happy with all her carers and Grandad's been happy. They all go above and beyond not just to help my nan but grandad too.

Thanks to everyone who's been there for my nan and grandad.

Reply from Prash Patel, Director at Nurse Next Door

As a Qualified Ophthalmic Optician for over 22 years, I helped Specsavers build their famous brand by owning and running 4 very successful businesses from 1998 to 2020. During this time, I developed extensive healthcare, retail and customer service skills, which led me to create the Care More brand in 2014 to provide exceptional care services every time.

As a company, we are always looking to improve our service and coverage in this important area of Healthcare. We are all very proud to have a good reputation with all the councils we work with, and we were also chosen to represent our field in the care sector by the Parliamentary Review Team

As a person I thrive on helping others. I’m enthusiastic about customer care and I value learning from others’ experiences. I have worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years and my direct involvement in working with and caring for customers, as both a qualified Optometrist and qualified Audiologist has helped me understand the importance of customer care, including the care of the whole family group.

During my time as a director of several Specsavers stores, we were awarded many customer service awards. I am now using my knowledge in the social care industry to help provide the best care we can.

Care More has developed a great team, which we are always looking to enhance, it’s a team I am very proud to be a part of.
