Previously Kare plus, a domiciliary care agency from 2013 - 2020, MD Care was established in February 2020. The areas they cover are Wickford, Basildon and Castle Point, including Hadleigh and Benfleet.

The team supports clients to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own homes whilst maintaining their independence. They offer a range of services including personal care, assisting with the management of medication, shopping, housework, meals, companionship, going out/appointments or respite.

Offering a friendly, person-centred, tailor-made care package to suit the individual, they have fantastic carers who do really care, and it shows, as they do not have a high turn over of staff. Carers are all fully qualified and given complete full training before they start working with clients in the community. All carers have The Care Certificate and a high number of carers have, or are, carrying out, their NVQ in health and social care. They deliver holistic care to all clients and carry out full assessments of the care required.

An excellent care company. All carers and management staff are very friendly and caring nothing is too much trouble for them. By having carers support me I am able to stay at home and maintain a normal lifestyle, they support and encourage me to do the things I am able to for myself and are also there
for the things I can't manage myself. They also support other members of my family as I live with elderly parents and have been a great help to us all.
All staff are polite and well dressed and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing care.

Since changing from another company Mum is so much more settled. Calls are on time, which is good for Mum, otherwise, she becomes very anxious. She really looks forward to the girls coming and they always treat her with the utmost respect. When either my brother or I are there when they call, they always
take the time to chat to us and to see how we are doing as well. Unfortunately Mum is in respite at the moment, but once again they have gone above and beyond and kept in regular contact to see how things are going and offer their assistance and advice when dealing with the authorities. I know they are getting paid for the service they give, but they really do have the client's best interest at heart. All the staff have been fantastic and nothing has ever been too much trouble. I cannot recommend this company enough, they are truly outstanding in every way. Many thanks to you all.

The carers went above and beyond, they were fantastic with my grandad right till the very end. Had regular carers and felt as if they became a part of our family. The office staff are very helpful, quick to sort if we needed extra equipment, hours etc. MD Care really cares. Would recommend them to anyone.

Working above and beyond their job. Always taking care of Mum with her best interest at heart. Would always be concerned for her welfare and call an ambulance immediately if needed. The carers' help is getting better and my partner seems happy with the attention.
Mostly they are very good, some more helpful than others.
The only complaint is when they are late and don't let me know, especially when we have morning appointments.

I have lived in Wickford since I was born I moved to Malta for 12 years and had 2 beautiful girls I moved back to Wickford to be nearer my family I have worked in care homes and NHS but I much prefer working in domiciliary care, I come to MD Care in February 2020 where I was a carer and then become a senior, I have always liked the medication side of caring, I become a medication officer for MD Care in May 2021, I have completed my NVQ in health and social care level 2 and 3 and now I'm working towards my level 5 I also have qualifications for train the trainer for SOVA, Medication.

I previously worked with children with Emotional behaviour disorders in a residential home for two years, alongside this I worked with families being a family support worker in the community. Having two children myself, I found it very difficult working the long hours along with the mental strain of working with children.


I joined MD Care as a domiciliary carer in October of 2021, I realized how much I loved working with adults and I wanted to learn more and do more for the clients I worked with. I am now working towards my level 4 NVQ in Adult Social Care and have completed training the trainer in Manual handling, Medication awareness and SOVA and the care certificate.
