Arbour Companions & Care are specialist providers of 24-hour live-in care in Surrey and surrounding counties. The business is family-owned, backed by more than 30 years' experience in the health and social care sector. CQC Regulated as Good in all 5 domains (July 2023).

Experienced carers provide care for a wide range of complex care needs, such as stroke rehabilitation. Offering support to those living with long-term conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Dementia and Epilepsy. Specialists in Palliative care.

Organising everything such as personal care, medication, shopping, cooking, housework, social interaction, trips out and accompanying to medical and personal appointments.

Flexible packages from short term respite care of 2-4 weeks to long-term contracts. A trial period of 4 weeks is offered, so that clients can see whether the service works for them and can just give 7 days’ notice.

Working with people’s strengths rather than focusing on what they can’t do. A comprehensive care needs assessment is carried out to create a bespoke care plan.

Services are managed, each contract is supervised, all carers work is quality assured, accurate records are monitored to provide an all-round safety-net. Highly trained Field Care Supervisors support carers and carry out supervisions, observations, and medication competencies. An on-call service is available 24/7 for emergency support and peace of mind.

Carers live in, but are not expected to be under the client’s feet all day – carers are available for the whole of the 24-hour period (but do not work more than 10 hours, over the whole day).

Clients and their family members, with permissions, can see exactly what care is being given throughout the day via a system called Pass. It stores important documents such as care plans, risk assessments, daily record notes, medication administration records and any other relevant care information.

We instantly took to this company as it was clear that their senior managment were very experianced and instantly related to my wife, a great start. First full time career did not hit it off with my wife however this was not her fault as to me she seemed very experianced and did all she could to make
it work. When it became apparant that it was distressing my wife a quick replacement was found who was also very good but alass it became apparant my wife did not want another wome in the house. The company senior staff worked very hard with me to gt the right solution and an important part of this was getting my wife on the correct medication. They also recommended a respite period and worked hard with us to get her into a care home.
I can not thank them enough for their efforts which went way beyound just providing careers. I would strongly recommend them to any one.

I joined Arbour as a client in February 2025. Although admittedly the first carer they provided was not a very good match, I cannot fault the effort the agency made to fix the problem. The carer was asked to leave the placement and the care manager himself stepped in to take over for the week until
a new carer could be sourced. This all happened while I was at work. It was very impressive and it made me feel very valued as their client.


I now have a new carer whom I cannot fault. I'm very happy, and very grateful.

My friend has received continuous live in care for the last three years from Arbour Care. All the carers they have provided have been very good and the last two carers, who have worked back to back, have been excellent in every way. They have always accompanied her to church and church activities which
has been a real blessing. They have become very fond of my friend and she of them. The owner was very helpful in coming to see my friend and assessing her needs before we decided that live in care was appropriate and this was much appreciated as it gave my friend confidence that this was the right thing for her at that particular phase of her life. The staff are extremely friendly and have always been very co-operative. If I have had any queries they have always been extremely helpful and assisted me in every way. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

The entire team at Arbour Care has been incredibly helpful since our first meeting with them in early 2022. We like the holistic approach that Arbour Care takes, assessing the needs of individual clients and understanding the broader family context. We are confident in the dedicated and empathetic services
of the carer my in-laws have had for 2 ½ years now, and appreciate the professional, responsive and kind support from the office staff, as well as the flexible and effective cover they provide during the carer's holidays. Despite my father-in-law's physical frailty and my mother-in-law's Alzheimer's, the successful result with Arbour Care enabled them to stay in their home together, which is what they most wanted. They were particularly supportive during the challenging time when my father-in-law passed away five months ago and continue to provide outstanding care to my mother-in-law today. We would recommend them highly to anyone considering hiring home care.

Arbour Companions & Care's support over the last 20 months has been amazing. They found a wonderful carer to look after my husband who has a physical disability, with additional support provided by her supervisor.
As his medical conditions have become more complicated, they have supported the carer
and me, finding solutions to keep him living at home.
Separately, the conversations that I had with members of their office team have been helpful and professional.
I would happily recommend their services.

My daughter has been receiving care from Arbour Companions & Care for the last 2 years with the agency providing live-in 24-hour care. The communication with family and clients is outstanding and I am always kept up to date. The company provides high-quality, professional carers who are well trained
and monitored and this was very important to me as my daughter has acquired brain injury and can't always alert us to any concerns. The company listened carefully to our concerns when setting up the care package and matching carers to my daughter so that her care package was truly bespoke. The rates are competitive and there is a genuine impression that this company really cares about each individual. The owners themselves spent a long time visiting and getting to know my daughter in the initial stages. I have great trust in the company and would recommend them unreservedly.

We used Arbour Care to provide care for our parents while we were on holiday. Our parents were originally reluctant to have someone living in their home but eventually agreed that it was the best option.
The care they received was so good, the carer cooked delicious meals (I need some recipe ideas
!) she was company for Dad and made it possible for us to enjoy our holiday knowing there was someone available if anything was to happen.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Arbour Care to anyone looking for care providers.

for most of that time, covering both day and night and working in shifts. Their care has not only been professional but kind and thoughtful. My wife could not have had better treatment anywhere, and

Arbour provided live-in carers for my wife for six years from 2017 to 2023 which included the Covid pandemic. My main impression is of a very professional organisation in which owners and staff worked all the time to provide the support the client needed at as high a standard as possible. They gave
equal attention to statutory requirements, care plans and staff training and never cut any corners. They are well aware of the difference between carers who are just there to do a job and those who identify with the client. Their fees are a fair reflection of the service they give, the staff are all very pleasant to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone in need of assistance.

The ladies at Arbour have been absolutely amazing. In addition, the owner was wonderful to myself and my sister in the kindness, guidance and in the support that she gave to us. I know that without this I would have cracked at the beginning of this year. The lead carer was especially wonderful, kind,
patient and loving to my father. She was unbelievably supportive as firstly his physical abilities declined and then also as Alzheimer's kicked in she aided the further delivery of support aids from the social services and got him to use them despite an initial resistance. Thus, enabling a better quality of life for my father in the last few months of his life. She did all of this whilst also managing his wife who had very different issues of her own (verbally aggressive at times due to her own dementia). My father and our lives would have been so so different had we not used Arbour. I will recommend the company without hesitation.

The live-in carer was brilliant. Having made herself at home over daycare previously, she was at ease and fitted in without any hassle. She made life interesting for my wife and took her out. Those who came in to assist early mornings, were efficient and respectful.

In the last few weeks, before my dad passed away, I was so impressed with the support, care, and compassion offered by Dad's carer. Prior to this in the months leading up to his death, he was happy, secure, and grateful for the care provided and all his carers looked after him with professionalism,
efficiency, and empathy. This live-in care allowed him to stay in his own home (to die) rather than him having no choice but to go to a care home which he did not want. As a family, we would definitely recommend and always use Arbour Companions & Care. We cannot speak highly enough of the carers, their dedication, and the work they do. Thank you to all the carers and the team you were brilliant!

Arbour has been looking after my mother in her own home for the past four years and I have been very happy with their service. Mum is not easy to look after - she finds it hard to accept she has any limitations and so is reluctant to accept help or lose any of her independence, but Arbour's carers have
been endlessly patient and helpful as well as sympathetic and caring. It has been nice that despite her dementia and increasing mobility problems, she has been able to stay at home for as long as she has.

The Managing Director was very professional and efficient from the get-go when I enquired about live-in care. Within a week of correspondence, we met her and two members of staff. One of whom was obviously very experienced in dealing with Dementia sufferers and was amazing from the minute she stepped
through the door and made a fantastic bond with my Mum - describing her as a Grandma figure. She always made sure my Mum was clean, comfortable and happy, ensuring Mum was always the priority. True assets to Arbour. I can and will only speak highly of Arbour Care and over the moon with the support they have shown myself and my late mother. Thank you so much, Arbour.

Christina Sell

Job Title: Registered Manager

Managing the day-to-day operations is Christina Sell. Christina oversees all care packages and works closely with the carers, supervising and sharing the expertise that she has gathered throughout her years of working in care.


Christina will also coordinate with all statutory services including Domiciliary care agencies and the Multi-Disciplinary Team, to ensure a well-rounded care provision is being accessed; always having the best interests of our clients in mind.


As a whole, we work with the NHS and know our way around the minefield of services available, including how to apply for an attendance allowance, and in some cases how to apply for health and social care funding. It is these types of information that we gladly share with our clients as ensuring your peace of mind is our first priority.
