Arbour has been looking after my mother in her own home for the past four years and I have been very happy with their service. Mum is not easy to look after - she finds it hard to accept she has any limitations and so is reluctant to accept help or lose any of her independence, but Arbour's carers have been endlessly patient and helpful as well as sympathetic and caring. It has been nice that despite her dementia and increasing mobility problems, she has been able to stay at home for as long as she has.
Thanks for your review, as you know they are very important to us and for others looking into finding a carer. We wish you and your mum all the very best.
Really pleased with the care at home live-in service. The carer is kind, caring, and diligent to needs and wellbeing. Very experienced carer in place which gives peace of mind to know we're in safe hands.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Feedback is so important to us to ensure we provide the best service we can.
The Managing Director was very professional and efficient from the get-go when I enquired about live-in care. Within a week of correspondence, we met her and two members of staff. One of whom was obviously very experienced in dealing with Dementia sufferers and was amazing from the minute she stepped through the door and made a fantastic bond with my Mum - describing her as a Grandma figure. She always made sure my Mum was clean, comfortable and happy, ensuring Mum was always the priority. True assets to Arbour. I can and will only speak highly of Arbour Care and over the moon with the support they have shown myself and my late mother. Thank you so much, Arbour.
Your girls have been so attentive knowledgeable, kind, and caring. We are so pleased we chose your company. It gave mum the best possible care in her home and yourself as a top dog so to speak; you have been so approachable and accommodating. We felt you really wanted the best for us. We loved your gentle respectful manner and felt so comfortable in your knowledge of all that was happening and felt that we could trust you completely.
The live-in carers (there have been two over the last few months) have been hard-working, dedicated and have provided a high standard of care. Without this service, my parents would not have been able to remain in their home.
It has given my brothers and myself immense peace of mind to know our parents are safe and cared for 24/7.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, I will pass on your review and look forward to seeing you all soon.
Arbour Care has consistently provided high levels of care to my mum. All carers are professional, efficient and highly skilled, and they have also all been sympathetic and caring. Whenever issues have arisen they have been handled compassionately and efficiently. The management team respond to us in a timely manner and in a caring manner. I cannot praise the whole team highly enough.
I will be sure to send your comments directly to the staff member looking after Mum. Once again, thank you.
This weekend our son will have been living independently with his live-in carer for four years. As a family, it was a very difficult decision to allow our disabled son to move to his own property, but with the support of his amazing carer, he has blossomed and is very happy. His carer is very kind, patient, very professional and very caring and they have developed a very warm relationship. Nothing is too much trouble for her with regards to our son's needs and during the lockdown she has been amazing, giving up any holidays she would have taken to care and protect our son. As a family, we are eternally grateful to her and she has become a very important part of our family. So we want to say a big thank you to her, and all the staff at Arbour care, who do a truly amazing job.
I look forward to letting...
Arbour Care has been looking after my Mum for just over a year. Mum was recently hospitalised with Covid-19 but has made a remarkable recovery. Arbour Care worked closely with health professionals and myself to bring Mum home safely as soon as possible. She has needed a much greater level of care since coming home.
I would like to thank the manager and all the team for everything they have done for my Mum.
Not living locally and not able to visit my father at short notice, I can honestly say that Arbour Companions & Care are the best in class for home care and support. My father is suffering from Alzheimer's and needs daily home care and social support. The registered manager and her team are virtually now an extended part of my family since we moved my father to Arbour Companions & Care on February 1st 2020. I have 100% full trust and respect for her and her team, and cannot express how happy and pleased I am with the professional service and support, myself included. My father is now relaxed, happier, smiling and eating well (too well) and that is down to the style of care he is receiving. Stimulation of the brain and being seen and respected as a person is what anyone should wish for their loved ones, and this is what you get when you deal with the manager and the team.
My Dad required care for a week - 2 visits a day. There were a team of three carers and the manager who were all excellent and really friendly. The manager visited to see my Dad and to find out exactly what he needed. She even came out of hours when he had problems with his catheter. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Arbour Care supplied excellent carers for my parents for over two years. This enabled them to spend their last years in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home.
They looked after my husband when he was discharged from hospital and supported us both at a time when we needed it most.
I had been concerned about having a stranger in the house, but it was just what we needed.
The carers were extremely kind, thoughtful, very patient, considerate and knew exactly what they were doing.
The manager and her team kept a close eye on my husband’s care and were there for me too.
I found them to be a very professional company that takes pride in their carers and in the service they provide.
So very impressed with Arbour Companions & Care. From the very first contact, they were so professional, helpful and caring. During the transition from hospital back to her home my Mother was given every courtesy and care. The carers she had from Arbour Companions & Care were excellent and really gave 110%. Would thoroughly recommend Arbour Companions & Care wholeheartedly.
Excellent care provider to my father. Thoughtful and considered approach, consistent and experienced care team who all had a keen desire to provide the appropriate level of full-time care service. Excellent levels of communication, regularly cross-checking that everything was working according to plan. Highly responsive to any issues that arose. Would strongly recommend Arbour Care.
We are very happy with Arbour. They have been providing excellent 24-hour live-in care for our dad since November 2018. The carers are kind, patient and quickly anticipate our dad's needs. They are professional and knowledgeable. The company also has a very supportive management team. I would not hesitate to recommend Arbour to families who need help with their loved ones.
Arbour Companions & Care provided an excellent service. My initial contact set things up quickly and efficiently which was essential to get my aunt out of the hospital. The live-in carer was a very nice and sensitive woman who worked very hard and did her best to make a good relationship with all the other people involved as well as my aunt. She was a good carer.
We have been very happy with Arbour Companions. They gave us details attention to care needs and matching carers.
The carer is experienced and well trained in meeting individual personal care with dignity, also excellent understanding of dementia.
The carer has been a pleasure to have at home with both our parents- kind, respectful, sensitive and could not be more helpful in every way.
We have experience of this care provider so when it was clear that Dad required 24-hour care, we had no hesitation in contacting Arbour Companions and Care. Our need was urgent and the owner, responded extremely quickly, assessed our needs and had a carer in place within just 2 weeks of our initial contact.
The carer who looked after my Dad was a 'perfect fit' (for Dad and the whole family) and helped us through what has been an extremely difficult period in our lives.
We always felt Arbour Companions and Care had our best interests at heart and used their experience and knowledge of the NHS and the care industry to great effect in ensuring Dad had both the equipment and specialism he needed. The owner provided us with very helpful, knowledgeable and timely advice throughout but at the same time was very accepting and supportive of decisions made by the family.
I would not hesitate to recommend Arbour Companions and Care to families with similar needs.
A very supportive management team and excellent carers with a very practical and caring approach who reacted well in all circumstances. Really helped to keep My father at home for as long as was possible.
I won't hesitate to contact Arbour in the future if further help, support and advice are required. A professional, empathetic and approachable company.
Thank you.

Meet the Team (7)
My early career was spent working in various banking roles in the City of London, then in 2008, I made the move into the care industry and haven't looked back.
Working in care is always busy and often challenging, but I love helping people and working with a team that can make a real difference to people's lives. I joined Arbour Companions and Care in 2024 as Registered Manager, and I have now progressed to Operations Director too.
My role is to ensure that our team provide the best care to enable our clients to live safely at home.
In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit, spending time with the family and going on long walks with the dog.
My varied role includes managing and supporting our office team with clinical matters, meeting with new clients to discuss their care needs and carrying out care needs assessments. I also enjoy developing relationships within healthcare settings and the local community, as part of business development. My career has been a blend of healthcare and education, having worked as a nurse in London hospitals, Marie Curie nursing, home care management, recruitment and working with children with special educational needs.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking and spending time with my family. I am a volunteer Dementia Champion in Surrey Heath, supporting families living with Dementia. This is a passion of mine, both on a personal and professional level.
I have worked in the care sector for 10 years, beginning as a carer in care homes and the mental health sector. During my time with Arbour Care, I have progressed from Care Coordinator to Senior Care Manager. My new role includes managing and supporting our field care supervisor and carers, carrying out supervisions, observations, and client well-being visits. I love getting out in the community to give hands-on support.
Having school-aged children, my spare time is spent at clubs and days out - they certainly keep me active. I have recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
My varied role includes managing and supporting clients and carers, setting up their bespoke care plans, assessing their moving and handling needs and carrying out all risk assessments. I come from a pharmaceutical background, so I am also responsible for carrying out medication audits and controlled drug protocols in line with NICE guidelines. I have worked in the care sector for 30 years, in many roles from being a carer in the community to office-based roles. I enjoy going out to visit our clients in their own homes to ensure they can flourish in a safe environment.
In my spare time, I make candles.
My time is shared between the office and working out in the community, supporting our carers. My duties include carrying out medication competencies, supervising carers and building relationships with our clients and their families. I have worked in care for over six years, and I love making a difference and enabling our clients to remain in their own homes.
I have enjoyed a varied career, initially as a secondary school teacher, after which I worked in recruitment. After taking time out to start a family, I chose a new avenue of work within the care industry. I worked as the Activities Co-ordinator within care homes, which I loved and could really see the benefits that a varied programme of activity brings to people’s lives. This, in turn, has inspired us to launch Arbour Companion and Care’s Enrichment Programme to support our clients and carers. Working in the care sector is extremely rewarding, and I am looking forward to bringing my combination of skills to this role.
In my spare time, I love to go running, walk my dog, do arts & crafts projects and spend time with my family.
I came from Mauritius to the United Kingdom to study accountancy then I joined the financial services industry. I am passionate about the care industry having initially worked as a carer while studying and looking after my disabled mother-in-law for 25 years as her main carer. I thrive to help carers and clients with finance with a kind and caring approach, which is different to my initial career in financial services.
In my spare time I enjoy yoga, swimming, travelling and long walks on a beach front.
