Also the peace of mind for my brother and myself is enormous as we can be there a lot of the time but not all the time, both with busy jobs. We will be looking to increasing his visits to 2 a day in the hope that we can keep him in his own home for as long as possible, hopefully forever!
Thank you, everybody from Abide, the whole Team, your support is immense and invaluable.
I cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness, professionalism, and sensitivity. My mother looked forward to their visits and found each member of staff to be very friendly and understanding. She could not praise them enough and I know that they made her feel safe. My family cannot thank you enough for making a very difficult situation for all of us easier to cope with and we all appreciate your compassion and warmth. Thank you for what you have done and we will recommend you to everyone.
My older sister (83) has had Alzheimer's disease for more than 2 years, unfortunately, I live abroad and with the Pandemic, I have been unable to assist my sister in any personal way. However, with my Power of Attorneys and some local help, I have been able to set up a multifaceted support safety net around my sister's wellbeing so that she can remain in her own home. An integral part of this support was initially 30 min evening visits by Abide Home Care to ensure that she was eating and more recently we have included some 30 min morning visits to make sure that she remembered breakfast, etc. More will surely come. The staff seem well managed, and I have immediate access to an online log of the carer's visit, which helps me assess my sister's life story. This is very important for me and I get a lot of feedback from it. The more details the Abide Home Care carers write, the better for me to be able to view my sister's life from afar. Talking with her on the phone often reveals a distorted picture.
I have nothing but praise, admiration and respect for this dedicated team of carers. Their sensitivity and professionalism was outstanding as they cared for my mother at the end of her life. Thank you for your comfort and support throughout.
Once again my dad has received an abundance of genuine care, professionalism and understanding from the career who found him after a fall. As always so grateful we found Abide Home Care as all family are 100’s of miles away.
For the last two years of her life, Mum had supported living at home. I cannot speak highly enough for the care given by the manager and her team for Mum. They comforted, befriended, laughed with her, and handled her sometimes demanding needs, with professionalism and tenderness, right up to the very end. Heartfelt thanks ladies, I couldn't have managed without you.
They were punctual, personable and extremely professional and were essential for my father’s physical needs as well as a comfort and reassurance for my mother.
I can’t thank the team enough.
We highly recommend this care agency.
Thank you so much for enabling me to have a stress free break having the reassurance that my partner's needs would be met with sensitivity in a compassionate and professional manner.
The care he received exceeded all expectations and we sincerely hope that Abide will be able to help us again in the future.
The carer from Abide Home Care was excellent in every aspect of her work. I am disabled, especially with the use of my hands, and the carer was extremely considerate and gentle in enabling me to be as independent as possible. I have no hesitation in recommending her without reservation and I look forward to further occasions when she can enable me to deal with other, similar situations when I am on my own and my partner is away!
