I hurt my right leg a few months ago and a few weeks later my knee gave way causing me to fall. I now need walking aids to get around. The Physio from the Doctors surgery is helping me with exercises to strengthen my leg. I contacted Helping Hands for help with tasks around the house, and I have found
each helper very friendly and a great help with all of the cleaning jobs I ask them to help me with.
I highly recommend Helping Hands.

Helping Hands provided a carer to support me with my disabled husband in a hotel in Eastbourne. It has taken a lot of planning to set this up as my husband has a lot of mobility issues and communication problems.
I've had excellent, friendly support from the team to set up this care for our two night
stay to ensure we had an enjoyable time.
Our Carer was friendly, calm and reassuring. She provided all personal care morning and evening and attended during the night. Although the Carer was very young, she was very confident with everything.
Our Carer really ensured that my husband and I had a lovely break and lovely memories.

We came on holiday to Eastbourne for a week and arranged for helping hands to come and wash and dress my disabled wheelchair user partner who has MS. The carers were all lovely, professional and caring and arrived at 9am everyday as arranged. We cannot fault the carers were all that was given to my
partner, which made our holiday experience perfect and allowed us to go out for a lovely breakfast daily and enjoy each precious day of our holiday. We would like to thank the fantastic ladies who came and would recommend them in future to anyone going on holiday to Eastbourne who requires short term care.

We have been under the wing of this wonderful agency for over a year and from the lady who answers the phone to the ladies that attend my mother in law they are wonderful. Management run an efficient and caring ship and we are totally blown away with how exceptional their service is. We can thoroughly

I cannot rate the care and compassion my mother received from both the day carers and live in carers over the time we used the service .


Every carer were kind and professional in all their interactions and above all showed their love of the job they did.


One carer on talking about services said

'i am just a carer' . There is no 'just' for these incredibly people who do a job because they CARE . If you are thinking of using helping hands I would recommend every time.


They allowed my mother to stay in her own home and to live the death she wanted. At home, cared for by lovely people . We avoided hospital ensuring a bed there was free for someone needing care with the chance of life. We avoided a nursing home , which my mother did not want .

My husband has been under the care of Helping Hands Home Care since February 2024, initially as a companionship visit then for full personal care since June 2024 due to his deteriorating Alzheimer's condition.
I've found all his carers to be professional and compassionate throughout his journey, despite
his often difficult behaviour. Nothing too much trouble.

Excellent service, both professional and friendly.
The team organised and provided transportation for my parents on Christmas Day to our home (2 hours away), and stayed on hand to provide whatever care support was needed, got on well with my parents and integrated with the family joining us for Christmas
dinner.
Would recommend and my parents are using again. Thanks.

We've been using helping hands for 27 months. The report the carriers have built with my grandmother is excellent. They show complete compassion, dignity and respect. They take their time and are extremely patient with her. They also take the time to talk to me and ask him for I'm OK in my caring role.
The only downfall is the cost of the car as helping hands is one of the most expensive providers. My grandmother won't be able to continue to afford the care once her savings run out.
