Overall Experience

Mums care, was good when she had her first year of care, I felt relieved to know mum was happy, as I often pop in when I can, after school runs, and spending more time with mum, when I can. There are a few carers who mum feels comfortable with. I looked after mum in my own home, along with my husband helping, when he wasn't working. We looked after mum, just over a year and half. Mum been in different hospitals after suffering a stroke. My brother and me decided to have carers, to hopefully give me and my husband, and the rest of the family a much needed rest. This year, has been stressful, for us all, as the carers seem short staffed, and stressed themselves, mum panicky, as she gets new carers, asking where things are, regular carers few and far between, mum, still in bed yesterday at dinner time, eleven fifty five, having no breakfast, no warm drink. I don't drive, so my brother who had a few hours free from work, drove me from one end of town to other where mum lives. To take over.

We find that the lady carers are very helpful and will help in any way they can and nothing is too much trouble to them. They are always willing to help in any way they can, which is helping to keep us in our own home at the moment.
