My mother finds all the carers very pleasant and helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and your feedback is important to us. I am aware of issues prior to new ownership, especially weekends but since a care planning system was implemented, there have been no missed visits on record.
Having this care company assigned to my parents has been a real gem. From the moment the manager came to do the assessment, to the carers coming in has been an easy process. We find them professional, kind and caring. My parents are extremely happy with the excellent service they provide and look forward to their visits every day. Full marks from us!

After battling for several months to get support for my brother, we were finally given a care package from Gentle Folk. From the onset we were kept fully informed and had a lengthy meeting to discuss the personalised care and support we needed. My brother lives alone, has heart problems, cellulitis in legs and chronic COPD which restricts him with daily tasks. He says the carers are so kind to him and really listen to him which is so good to hear. Any issues they are promptly on the phone to discuss course of action needed. This included contacting the nursing team to check his legs and giving me a courtesy call to explain this and even calling me to say they may be a little late one morning due to staff illness. I feel as supported as my brother and it’s given me such peace of mind knowing he is being checked on daily and genuinely cared for. We are both so grateful for the compassion and care we now have. Thank you so much.

Gentle Folk provided my mum with short term care over 5-6 weeks before her move into supported living. They provided both befriending services and practical hands on support in the home. I have been very impressed by the dedication and reliability of their staff, as well as the responsiveness and understanding of the staff setting up and coordinating carer visits.

I have worked in health and social care for over 8 years and have dedicated my career to supporting people to live independently and with dignity. As Registered Manager, I take pride in leading a compassionate and professional team that puts clients at the heart of everything we do.
I am passionate about delivering person-centred care, supporting staff development, and ensuring our service consistently meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Building trust with clients and their families is extremely important to me, and I strive to ensure everyone receives care that is tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
I believe that excellent care is about more than meeting needs—it's about enhancing quality of life, promoting independence, and making a positive difference every day.
Gentle Folk Community Care Ltd has given me a platform to improve my skills and knowledge within the Health and Social Care Sector.
I have gained my Level 3 in Health and Social Care and hope to progress to a higher level in the future.
Since under new ownership, I have had the opportunity to support Service users within all aspects of care.
I work with an amazing team with a strong support system. Registered Manager has a vast amount of experience and has guided me and supported me in my new role.
Employed originally as the Office Cleaner and supporting with daily office filing. This progressed to supporting service users with basic domestic tasks then an opportunity arose for promotion to Administrator when the company was under new ownership.
I am now office based working with a fantastic team. Gentle Folk Community Care Ltd has given me flexibility with my hours of work and support as and when needed.
