Swansea Bay care company were the chosen carers for my dad as I knew they were the best around . They were professional , Supportive, punctual, friendly and caring. Staff from management, office staff and carers have been excellent and I would 100% recommend them. Due to my dad having Vascular
dementia and at times being quite challenging the carers were always very good to him and able to calm him down if he was upset or angry and kept me informed every time he was having a bad day. My dad has had to sadly go into a care home but I would definately recommend Swansea Bay Care company to anyone as they are the best in swansea .

This is an opinion based on my recent personal experience with Swansea Bay Home Care Services. My elderly Father has Vascular Dementia and whilst some carers had some experience in managing individuals with this sort of condition, others clearly did not. This often meant that prepared meals were not
being given to my father due to him being 'difficult' and insisting that he didn't want anything. When I requested that carers 'manage' the situation a little better by warming the meal anyway and taking a more consistently assumptive approach, the caring company became defensive and were not as helpful as I would have wanted or reasonably expected them to be. This was to be a consistent theme throughout my dealings with them.
I have had no contact with any other care companies, so I am not sure whether my experience is typical of the sort of difficulties encountered with caring for individuals with dementia issues. I am aware that caring for the elderly is not an easy task, but I feel disappointed that my clearly articulated concerns were not taken seriously or addressed by management. As stated, this is a personal view and may not be representative of the general level of care provided by Swansea Bay Home Care Services.

The staff and management go above and beyond to provide the best care, to the best of their ability.
They provided my Aunt with more than adequate care, always showing concern for her welfare and always eager and willing to help with any out of the ordinary
requests from me as her next of kin.
The
manager proved to be a rock as far as I was concerned, giving me sound advice and support whenever I was floundering with the organisations which should
have been giving me the relevant support.
My Aunt was a client of theirs for more than two years and they helped make her life easier and more comfortable during that time.
